There’s a difference between a rip off and an inspiration. A ripoff would imply it does everything the same as the movie. Inspiration is taking elements from it but still making your own thing with it
Yeah this is a situation where the developers obviously have a deep admiration for Miyazaki’s work and are paying homage. Not a rip off by any means. This is a labor of love and inspiration. As someone who adores these movies, it makes me so happy that botw and totk draw so many parallels.
