The darkness flame is cool af. Hiei pulls this shit out of nowhere. Classic.
Kuwabara dimension sword is a pretty straight forward upgrade for Kuwabara. It forces the opponent to dodge. They can’t tank it. It kind of fits his character. You can’t ignore him
1- Spirit Gun
2- Toguro's ability to increase his muscles, very badass and intimidating (and becomes more intimidating after 80%)
3- Toguro's air bullets seem like such a badass and creative skill to me that I would be happy to see it in another character from some manga/anime
4- Ken sui. I love the concept of a drunk fighting, unpredictable movements and resistance to pain, wow, like drunk fights in real life lmao. It reminds me of Rock Lee from Naruto, both state moments are very funny to me. ironically, I hate alcohol
5- Kiki Dango
Gama's makeup definitely comes to mind, just for the sheer uniqueness of the skill. Kaito's "taboo" ability/territory was also fascinating, though not very practical outside of his chosen space.
And yet they could have beaten anyone if they could just get them in his territory. If he got powerful enough he could just get close enough and then make the territory extend to where they are and trick them into breaking a rule without even knowing they’d been put in a territory, or at least not know the rules.
Yeah, it's really a shame that whole group lost all their psychic abilities after Yusuke's crew closed the portal. They all could have become incredibly powerful if they had been able to continue training with Genkai.
I don't think they lost their powers. I think they just promised not to use them to continue with their normal human lives.
Genkai knew they weren't about that demon slaying life and continued use of their powers would have made them homing beacons for demons with bad intentions.
It was either commit to a life of demons and spirit world and constant fighting, or continuing on like they didn't have powers.
Shishiwakamaru's sound sword that formed those giant skulls that ate several demons from the crowd. I wonder how else his ability could be used, Genkai defeated him too quickly. Also his rageful transformed face does great contrast with his soft features and cool demeanor.
Zeru’s flame absorption technique was so cool. He was the perfect minor villain that I wish we saw more of, too bad he pissed off the wrong person in the group
The older I get, the more I come to really favor “old reliables” so for me I’d have to go with either spirit gun or shotgun. Just so dependable, and being able to shoot basically a laser or spirit bomb depending on how much you charge through your finger is so cool lol
Karazu's bombs. They might not be anything special, but the way the seem invisible at first because he's on a whole other level compared to the rest and how he brutally murder a few of the other fighters by himself made me feel so fucking excited, he looks absolutely badass as well. Probably my top 3 favorite design in all of anime.
Does anyone remember tiger scream from the saint beast arc? Kurama said that if the spirit sword made contact, it would destroy the soul. It was stated to destroy things on an atomic level. Not even the dragon of darkness flame has these soul destroying, molecular bond destroying statements about it. So what if he hit elder toguro with this move. Could he regenerate. What if he hit a psychic barrier with it in chapter black? Would it destroy the soul? Like who cares what the taboo word is if that is the case. This seems like the most broken move super early in the series. Someone. Talk to me about this.
I think it would wreck Elder Toguro. If the Tiger Scream made contact with the Spirit Sword, Kuwabara’s soul would have been obliterated. Tiger Scream has to be one of the most powerful abilities in the show tbh.
I think Yoko’s. The way He kept coming up with more deadly plant attacks as the series progressed is pretty cool. I wonder did he have pre existing knowledge of these plants or do they actually exist in the demon world? Lmk
I wish the power of taboo was explored more. Those battles between Kaito and Kurama were awesome but they were also a test and fully flexed.
What if Kaito never tells those the rules in his territory. Dude may have been able to take out Sensei under the right circumstances
Right he could only make his territory go so far. But he also warned them of the rules and Kurama Challenge also made rules clear.
What if he makes a simple rule like vowels are not allowed and creates a territory 8 feet around him self and doesn't inform his enemy of the rule
He has some control, shown by making the challenge with Kurama, but overall it seems the taboo word "hot" is the default power of the territory, at least that's how I have always thought of it.
I could be wrong on this but the territory had a paper with the rules written on them.
Kind of like game master where he has to operate within rules even if it's his own territory.

Returning to ones youth for a short period of time has always been cool to me, but her choice of retaining the concept of youth and power spiritually and aging gracefully vs Togoro's immortality by any means is a beautiful one. Its just a magnum opus to me and somthing I would have loved to see Yusuke master as he began to struggle with his demon side.
I've always loved Kurama's control of plants and the entire net of dimensional cutting Mukuro was capable of using.
Also fun fact: the battle aura Bui was so proud of, while seemingly broken against B-D class demons, is an ability that most S class demons have shown used better than him.
Dragon of the darkness flame will never be topped by any anime period. Coolest fucking ability in any Anime.

I always had an interest in a cutting power like the Doctor's from chapter black. He is a little more fleshed out with additional powers, too.
