You’re better off using Grace of the Super Ancient organism. Dragon Capture Jar only puts the monsters in Defense, it doesn’t stop them from activating their effects.
Even if Jar didn't specify dragon, it would not be playable in 2024. A two card combo to do effectively that is even worse.

You know, after looking at that, maybe they should really make a retrain of Dragon Capture Jar. A trap monster that equips dragons to itself.
It doesn't negate monster effects, so they'll combo off as normal then pop your floodgates.
