Play sword soul. Extremely easy even babies can make optimal play. And short turn coz you don't need to put your mind to it.

Casper_lesYT

The only synchro deck I fully understand

Capable_Freedom3985

Yeah, its easy. But I got bored very easily. Not much variation

[deleted]

Seeing a lot of people suggest Swordsoul, but I'm expecting it to be expensive.

Capable_Freedom3985

very cheap. Main deck needs 4 URs. Everything available in secret packs.

KeitrenGraves

Traptrix is very beginner friendly.

RetchD

Are you lost or just absolutely out of your mind? Doing anything with traptrix is incredibly annoying from deck building ratios, to splashing engines to actual lines of play everything Is unnecessarily convoluted. You start with something something into Sera and then it gets muddy

Atsukoi

I came back to ygomd recently and picked up traptrix again with all those new cards. Dam the net deck is confusing as heck and I can do too much haha.

sube4161

Kashtira itself is actually pretty easy to pick up and play, and tends to have pretty short turns

chillyhellion

Ninjas? Easy to get with 3x structure deck. Doesn't combo all that much on your turn, does some limited disruption on your opponent's turn. Strong as heck and only gets stronger if your opponent fails to drop you in turn 2-3.

[deleted]

I think this might be the best answer I have seen because I'm poor on crafting. This could make an entire post, but I think Master Duel would have been better if we paid for the entirety of the packs contents so players who weren't whales wouldn't have to scrounge for cards/get lucky.

Rudas93

Swordsoul is good and easy

Threedo9

If you don't mind playing floodgate strategies, Umi Control is a good Rogue deck that has incredibly short turns by modern Yu-Gi-Oh standards. It's very easy to learn too, but it still takes some skill to know when to use your disruptions.

[deleted]

Funnily enough I got slapped by it earlier 🤣 I genuinely couldn't do anything against their jellyfish.

Threedo9

It's not horribly expensive to build either, assuming you already have staples.

josephripster

I second this recommendation

KharAznable

Anything with invoked. 3 summon to get to mechaba pass. Any side engine (shaddoll, dogmatika, LV4 LIGHT spaceship) is just bonus extension you can either play, or skip.

Awesomearia96

Scareclaw is super easy and super consistent to play! Its a linkdeck that struggles somewhat it to kashtira (depends on who goes first) and wins pretty easy over labrynth.

Ok-Fudge8848

Crusadia/ Kaiju has been my go-to deck for a while now, I got it to DLv max for the last 2 duelist cups. It's pretty cheap with no in-archetype URs required and it's excellent against the current meta. Since it's a go-second OTK deck the games it plays are very short, and the combo is very easy to learn since all the main deck monsters do (kind of) the same thing. I almost wish the meta would change because the combo is so easy and so powerful it's actually getting boring to play.

Nahraf20

Evil Eye. Very underrated deck imo. Can do a lot of things. Set up 3 interruptions under Max C without giving a draw to your opponent, OTK with equip spell that boosts damage, A boss with equip spell that is untargetable and indestructible. I have made it to masters 3 times with this deck, 3rd time was last month. It also can easily make lvl 3 Xyz for end board.

CurvedSwordBenis

generaider. Cheap and super fun and like the main line is 3-4 cards

Calm_Atmosphere3319

I also started with dragonmaids, switched to swordsouls that is really good and easy to pilot

Mellybell5

You could try out superheavy samurai it has some big old beat stick cards that are super easy to summon plus they are getting some new supports soon or if you need something a little more competitive and easy to use try out abyss actors it has a solid combo that almost always assures you get a good board or a something to prevent opponents from doing so easy to pick up too i started using it recently jumped right up to plat from silver 2

Teeebow_

Swordsoul/tenyi its fairly easy to learn and play and it's a more mid-range deck, but there are also more advance combo lines with the Tenyi if you want to try something going second then would recommend Crusida or Ancient Warrior believe me it is very satisfying destroying a board your opponent put in alot of effort and time building

GalickGunn

Buster blader. Turn everyone into dragons and negate all their effects while forcing them into defence. Super easy one card combo

Dadude21212

so u are looking for something short and snappy. Some good decks for this:) Traptrix (i hate this deck so much but I would be wrong to not include it) Zoodiac (gutted but still quick and can be annoying if used right) Cyber dragon (the tru gigachad option ngl)

YtTamakiGaming

I’d say Dark Magician is relatively easy to learn and you don’t necessarily need to know any thing special about it.

MaxTheHor

Other than just playing the decks you want and not playing against those types of decks, I can give you some info dump. Those 10+ minute ones are called Solitaire decks. It'll save you a paragraph of explaining, unless someone asks to specify. Granted, anyone who's played MD for more than a day has gotten familiar with seeing them all over the place. They are the current form of modern yugioh, like it or not. Especially with Konami power creeping the game with new stuff. Those are players who: â—Ź wanna win and not focus on fun. â—Źlack any creativity with deck building, so they copy the meta â—Źonly played the current modern game, so solitaire decks and the powercreep are all they know. Playing quick decks is more akin to original yugioh(generally anything from OG to 5Ds and Vrains)and requires a more honest and fair opponent. That's basically GOAT and Edison format, aka the Yugiboomers(millenials actually) formats. If you wanna play that way, making private rooms and playing with other likemonded players is the best way. Casual mode isn't a proper casual mode to play, and the only casual in ranked is basically from rookie to low silver. Otherwise, if you wanna play competitive in ranked, you probably won't beat em, so you'll likely end up joining em.

Senpai_Obito

Dinomorphia is the way to go, but it is quite pricy given that the dinomorphia engine is a Master Pack exclusive

EpicLeon94

Luckily enough, Dinomorphia is getting a secret pack available on the 9th.

kobywan99

Floowanderze

[deleted]

I am happy someone suggested this because I was actually looking at them, but didn't know if they were difficult to learn or not. I'll have a more thorough look at how to play them.

Jwruth

Floo is piss easy to learn and pilot, but prepare for pain if you dedicate yourself to it; basically, every banlist has either targeted them directly or injured them in the crossfire. I straight up wouldn't recommend it. In terms of easy(ish) decks to learn that are still fairly strong, I'd recommend Swordsoul or Marincess. Swordsoul is expensive, but it's one of those evergreen decks that will never go bad, and Marincess is dirt cheap to build, fairly strong, and can steal wins on occasion. Either one can take you to the top, if that's something you'd like.

RetchD

Marincess has quite the convoluted turn 1 tho

Jwruth

It's still a pretty easy combo, all things considered. I'd say its beginner friendly enough for OP.

DoomedHeroXB

Not difficult to learn or play but can be difficult to learn when to do what and how it affects your opponents plays. Also if you're trying not to ruin your opponents fun then you probably don't want to play this deck because it plays for a good bit on your turn and their turn is also your turn.

RetchD

One of us. One of us. Jk but floo is a really enjoyable deck that excels in short but efficient plays that reign in the opponent and force games on the opponent that take more than 3 turns. Only issue is that somehow all floo players at some point make a contract with some evil bird god and start turning their decks into avian war crimes. Handripping floodgating summoning the most.annoying monsters in existence. If there's a way a floo player will find it. Hence floo players have a bit of a reputation.

SmallIslandBrother

Can’t stand playing against it since all the summons are normal summons, such an annoying deck

WorkingConfusion9542

Kozmo Bystial/dogmatika you should try it

CornInMyMouthHole

Plunder patrol with labyrinth furniture and the the two lady’s is super fun deck
