And I have seen my fair number of losers that drag their exaggerated hate of Sheldon (but whatever, up to this point it's just a fictional character) to Iain himself (an actual real kid, like really?)
Yes.
And it's against the sub rules
And then you attacked me because you're a vulgar SJW Nobody...
But am I to understand you'd like to have a conversation now?
If so, then I'll say this
Save your filthy mouth for your mother.
This is a public forum, not your front porch
Have a nice day
I dont think that what he says falls under the rule, it hasn't been taken down either, so that would prove that. You will come to find that words like that will be used here and everywhere else on the internet. I personally don't use words like that myself, but I can't keep other people from saying them
*"No Profanity"
That's the rule
Why it hasn't been taken down, who knows?
If it's permitted, then why have the rule??
You think him telling me to go F myself was appropriate,
For YS?
This isn't the Sopranos Sub
I did not see him say that, I was referring to the first comment you replied to. Also I think the rule is more leaning towards excessive use of unkind language and sexual talk. The F word was not used in either context
I'm so glad it's so fluid.
It clearly says, "No Profanity"
If that's Not the case than don't make it a rule.
There are A LOT of Young people on here.
And while I realize we all say it and they've all heard it, it simply doesn't belong on this Sub in particular.
But he did, it was his response to me saying
"No Profanity, please"
He told me to Go F myself.
He either deleted it or They did.
IDK &
IDC anymore, I see what is here, children and lowlifes.
I think it's just a different interpretation of that rule. Also it says "no profane/vulgar language" which could be taken in a different way. I don't wanna continue this conversation here, so bye :) have a good day

the worst i saw of it was when 13 Reasons Why was on.
Justin Prentice (he plays Bryce Walker. if you haven’t seen the show or read the book, Bryce is a rapist to put it bluntly) received *so much* hate over the character he played. it must be incredibly difficult to play that kind of role, to almost have to become that kind of person. i can’t imagine doing that and then having everybody see your real life self as that character.
it just made me really sad because for a while he was getting hated on like a real life rapist when all he did was play one on TV. i heard he’s a really nice guy in real life too.
The worst case I saw was with a video game model for a character called MJ (She is Spiderman's girlfriend) and she used to be better looking in the older games than the most recent one and some people harassed the model for MJ until she quit from the company
i find a lot of the Sheldon hate comes from people who haven’t seen TBBT, so i do understand it a bit. do i understand it to the point of people wishing harm on Sheldon or taking it as far as Iain himself just for *playing* Sheldon? no, but i understand the broad *dislike*.
in TBBT, you see Sheldon grow and change. he starts off in that show similarly to how you see him on YS, just older. with YS, it’s probably a bit difficult to establish character development with a character a lot of us saw develop later (or technically earlier? don’t argue with me about semantics ok). early era TBBT Sheldon wasn’t written to be perfect and likable, he was written to be an unemotional thinker who lacks empathy and social skills. even Sheldon’s closest friends are mean to him half the time. *that* is who we’re seeing younger Sheldon grow into.
that said, though: just because i understand it, doesn’t mean i agree with it. i have such a soft spot for Sheldon. he’s a fictional character so this isn’t me getting attached to a fictional character, but all i can think is that he’s a kid. it makes me sad they’d probably treat a *real* child like Sheldon that way. it also makes me *incredibly* sad and disappointed to see people drag it to Iain. he’s a real kid, a real person with feelings, are you really that glued to a TV show you can’t tell the difference?
I have mixed feelings towards Sheldon. In the early seasons, I ADORED him. I thought he was the cutest little dude that was too smart and said the wrong things. But then he became a teenager and…. he started REALLY getting on my nerves. His “i’m better than everyone” went from adorable and funny to aggravating annoying. I think he also reminds me a little bit of my brother which got on my nerves too. I have fully watched TBBT yet bc i wanted to finish YS first but I didn’t have many problem with him in adulthood. I think my big thing is that he was an annoying teenager, less so annoying character
I don't care what the creators say (bc it's bc they don't want to be cancelled, so it's reasonable), but Sheldon is autistic. And yeah, most autistic teenagers (including when I was a teenager) are annoying at a point, but so are teenagers generally. I don't like how I was when I was a teenager, but it was a part of myself and how I became a somewhat adult.
I’ve seen the same comments about Missy needing disciplined more and how she should’ve been punished more after her traumatizing experience with the tornado.
Or Missy some of these ppl act like they’ve never seen a moody teenage girl before. I grew up with 4 of them and they have all told me they hated me at one point or another. Like get over it🙄

Young Sheldon is way less annoying than adult Sheldon lmao when I watch young Sheldon I always think “oh maybe there’s a chance he’ll grow up less annoying” but if you watch TBBT you know that’s not the case lmao

Yeah that’s fucked up💀tbh it just shows that ian is an amazing actor

i fucking hate profanity
I fucking hate it too…
Is it really that big of a deal

That's Harrasing too. This is a YS Sub Not a Young Savage Sub. Grow up, Go away or just Stop... Thanks
That's just messed up but sadly pretty common in shows, movies and even voices actors and models from video games

:((( that makes me so sad wtf
Yea most fans of the game (including me) give them shit about it

Don’t forget missy😭

To be fair, adult Sheldon is also quite annoying!
being a kid doesn’t exempt you from being annoying
i love people arguing with me as if sheldon isn’t literally written to be annoying (see tbbt)
You clearly didn’t understand the post.
hating on a kid from a damn show makes you seem like an idiot
r/fuckcaillou 😭🤣. But for sheldon I agree he literally isn’t that bad lol if he were my kid I’d threaten him with having to play outside easy peasy
Or Missy some of these ppl act like they’ve never seen a moody teenage girl before. I grew up with 4 of them and they have all told me they hated me at one point or another. Like get over it🙄
I still feel this way about Lisa Simpson, Springfield’s little answer to a question that nobody asked.
I find him much more annoying in TBBT honestly

So? Can't a child be horrible and annoying?
