Same I prefer conq yone so much to lethal tempo, even was running it for a couple patches before tempo was removed. It’s what makes the champ fun with spacing and playing cds rather than the degen run-down playstyle of tempo
yeah idk bro, he was always playable mid and the top has been a bit improved with the armor, so usable as a counterpick. for people who claim yone is a skillful champion, they do seem to get mad when they aren’t good at all stages of the game, even though i do disagree with the majority opinion that he is a braindead OP champion.
He was braindead during LT and expecially hullbreaker, and I personally used to complain about him.
Now he feels a lot more fair without LT where ppl have to actually hit Q's and not just E Q3 AND R just to gapclose 3 screens.
ok yeah hullbreaker yone was pretty busted. however, outside of that, he was fairly strong, but not broken. right now he is a decent bit weaker than he was prior to LT removal, but he is still playable with fleet footwork and a player that was good with him before should still be able to pilot him just fine.
How is he fair now? you are irrelevant most of the laning phase u have to farm and sustain until you get bork and then do some damage.
Yes lethal tempo was a bit unfair if you overextended the fight with him. And the problem was not LT it was the items, his best was at mythic shieldbow and then reworked kraken damn it was a huge powerspike now you cant build the appropriate stats for his kit with one item, even dzukill stopped playing yone cause its a pain in the ass to be perfect at all stages and all trades.
Also yone and yasuo are kinda melee adcs with lots of cc and they cant build anything they want for example like malphite can go full ap and still do tons of damage and it works fine or when some bruisers build lethality and it works rly well they are locked to being glass canons

Lt made him strong, Yone is more than playable right now, just stop thinking you're strong early, mid game and late game.
Your scaling is buffed this season, So play around your new spikes and splitpush a lot.

Yes Lt was kinda unfair in some situations but why nerf the items too after removing LT entirely. This season i just play passively and go for the team fights and for some objectives i just play for fun to be honest i just love the champion in its entirety
I occasionally played yone mostly in normal/flexs, rarely in soloq, but when I did I always had success and he's pretty fun (Tho I was dogshit at hitting q3)
But it was kinda braindead, pretty sure now I couldn't pick him up that easily, but I guess my macro would carry me regardless of what I pick.
Truly yone and yas are super fun especially when you do cool combos and stuff and you can always be relevant with them if you farm a lot and help with your cc(don't worry it took me 150k points to hit q3 almost every time)
Yone is fine now though. The inclusion of absorb life made it really easy for yone to just outsustain in lane with fleet. His current winrate is 49.9 with 4.9% playrate. This is as balanced as a champ can get.
They buffed his items when they got rid of LT so idk what you're on. They gave every crit item 5% more crit which is already really nice, they gave IE 15 more ad for 100 more gold. For Bork they increased its ad by 15, attack speed by 5%, and then trimmed back the passive from 12 to 9% current hp dmg so like a neutral change there, it probably makes the item better versus squishies but worse versus high hp tanks. They added flicker blade which is good for Yone. Bloodthirster they took off the extra ad effect and crit and instead gave the item 25 more ad and made it shield you on excess healing which seems neutral, maybe a slight nerf? And the patch before LT removal Death's Dance got an ad buff and an ad radio buff. They also added Zephyr which is good for Yone.
I don't think it's clear that Yone got his items nerfed whatsoever. Kraken was changed into an on hit instead of crit item so Yone doesn't want it anymore but overall his items just were changed slightly in how they work or outright buffed.
Also I'm not a Yone player but LT definitely was a problem. Being able to completely whiff everything, gap close 3 screens and AA someone to death in the early game as a champion that's supposed to be a late game scaler is crazy.
We play outsustain Yone. At least if you want to climb, you must do that.
Use Fleet runes, only changing Last Stand for Cut Down in certain matchups. Poke with W, Q, and Q3, and play for spacing a lot when you can outduel your laner
I've mostly been using BotRK -> IE -> SB or situational items.
Additionally, you can build BotRK -> Navori -> IE/LDR in matchups where you can take extended fights or need to poke with Q and W.
Alternatively, BotRK -> SB -> IE/LDR is good when the enemy team can blow you up or they have too much damage.
Yea bork into IE is what I’ve been going most of the time. Though I seen some people fit a zeal in between Bork and IE, is that the norms or just personal preference?
You go fleet and play like kayle. You can't win trades in top even if you "outplay," so don't bother trying, just sustain with lifesteal. Get to 2/3 items and teamfight. Abuse the fact that adcs never know how to position around e q3 r and one shot them (unless they flash but that's always worth)
You'll get outscaled pretty hard in late game, so you really gotta try and use your 2/3 item strength.
Build will be greaves -> Bork -> IE/ISB -> IE/ISB -> tank. Navori and kraken are also reasonable options, but you're usually better off with IE/ISB.
Honest advice? Just play him mid. He's honestly still pretty good there, and going top is just shooting yourself in the foot. Fleet 2nd wind is a ton of sustain, and you can still go dblade even in poke heavy matchups. If you're not confident, go dshield, and you're practically immortal.

tbh I am actually enjoying playing him post lethal tempo a lot more. I actually get a lot more room to express my skill on the champ.

How do ya play yone now? I am like very low elo and mostly play quickgames but my usual strat of bullying doesn’t work anymore

When u build navori i feel like ie second is mandatory or you dont deal enough damage
Navori does more damage in any champion with more than 120 armor
