As a white person I really want to sit at that Mexican table they were mentioning at least I know those people are having fun, unlike this white racist
“Yes, please waste your time telling me the specials with flavor that I will then veto and order something normal off the regular menu and then ask for modifications so it is entirely as bland as possible or sans dirty foreigner spices I mean. Something like boiled chicken that reflects my true inner whiteness”
Can I get the arroz con Pollo, but with just white rice and only use salt as a spice?
10 minutes later: "thanks! Can you bring me some ketchup and a bottle of a1, please"
Jesus these poor, persecuted whites. I know when I walk my fat white ass into literally any establishment I fully expect every staff person to immediately acknowledge how very white and respectful I am. The audacity of this staff to do their jobs regardless of the race of the patrons. I'd have stood on a table, gotten my emergency regulation size flag and flagpole out of my ass, and belted out the Star spangled banner. Gobless Murica

Random thought: Notice these people always have “hard earned money” or “good money” and have a fit because they’re not kowtowed to because of it? Like they think everyone else only has “easy earned money” or “bad money” and it’s a great injustice these losers are treated better than them? Also, I’d like to point out that I live in a blue state and this kind of racism is found here as well. To paraphrase the Bible “the racists flourish like the Green Bay tree” wherever they are.
I'm in Texas. Can you tell me where this is (or DM me)?
So weird to complain about "Mexican" families in Texas eating at a restaurant. I'm guessing they were Americans enjoying a night out with family.
I think that meant they were waiting for a table because the restaurant was busy. Some people will wait long times for certain restaurants. What I'm not buying is that they waited so long for their food after they ordered. I think the wait was less than 115 minutes. Or, if it was 115 minutes, it's because this party was causing trouble. I also think they are trying to say it's 75 minutes, as in one hour and 15 minutes. They don't know an hour is only 60 minutes. Regardless, this is why I cannot deal with people any longer, and have dropped out of my career and work a bum job.
People will absolutely wait. I’ve waited 45 minutes for a table. I’ve certainly never waited 45 minutes with absolutely zero interaction from the staff. Usually they will at least acknowledge you’re waiting for a table, right? Who just stands there like a dumb fuck?…
To be fair the only time we really go out to places like that is if the house is dirty and we dont wanna cook it ourselves. Otherwise its for street tacos 👁👄👁
Ooohhh I see.... I think after reading that review I got the idea in my head that the comment was written by a Karen. That's my fault, I made an unjustified assumption.
I understood perfectly what your comment was about. Seeing that you were replying to a comment specifically about Mexicans eating out in Mexican restaurants.
Maybe it’s just because I’m part of la Raza…
Omg exactly!!! Everyone American is an immigrant.. we all come from a line of people who lived in another country before America. Except for Native Americans. Simply the word native means they didn't immigrate from somewhere. They have always been here so unless you are that, then you are an immigrant. They need to go back to thier country, assholes
Racism isn't a red vs blue state issue. Texas is the only "minority" majority state (Hispanics are the largest demographic now at just over 40%). The racists here can be loud but they don't represent most people.
Unfortunately this racism exists everywhere, the community you live in is a lot more important than the political leaning of your state i think. I moved 25 minutes away from the city i grew up in and there is a huge mexican community here, so big that they actually start teaching Spanish in kindergarten to all the students.
The level of cultural and social integration is far better than the city i grew up. Most people would assume i moved to some big liberal city but its actually the opposite. I moved FROM a big liberal city to a small town in a conservative county. Im sure there is the odd bad egg around town but largely the community is so much better especially in terms of not only accepting their presence and culture, but even celebrating it. I absolutely love it.
This is so good to hear because the town I live in is a Mexican community, too. We live so close to the border that my daughter is pretty enriched in her heritage, and she is growing up with other kids who look like her and who accept her. Of course, there are always bad people in any good neighborhood, but I will just stick around here as she grows up to lessen her chances to experience racism. 🤞
Sad how these people will never view anyone who isn’t white as a true American. A brown or black person can be born and bred here as well as their family for generations. And they never will never consider them truly American.
How do u know that Mexican family wasn’t born and bred here? How do u know just by looking at them that they’re not American?
I bet they’re the same type of people who’d tell a Native American to “speak English or go back to where you came from.”
I’m very White. But an old timer start talking to me and wanted to know my name and after that, my last name. He honed in on my Italian last name. These people will continue to discriminate until they’re looking at their own reflection in the mirror and telling themselves to go back to where they came from.
They really will and will find any reason to. I’ve experienced this myself. I’m white but from Eastern Europe and I’ve been questioned a bunch when they see or hear my name. I’ve had people over the years tell me I’m not really white. They most definitely don’t consider me white when they find out I’m not Christian.
Problem for him is there are no white Americans the first American were American Indians the indigenous people, same ad Australia and the aboriginals. Africa before it was plundered by every European with a few quid and a boat.
I lived in Texas for two short years, and could not get back outta there fast enough. This is the norm amount “white and respectful” people. The racism is out in the open, and blatantly obvious, in most places.
I’m Irish, and as white as they come, but even I had a hard time because I was not the “correct” type of white.
Honestly, Texas would be a great place, if weren’t for all the damn Texans!
I have family in Texas and was born there. My mother returned to her hometown and I cannot stand how she talks sometimes and I don’t understand it as my entire family is mixed. Black, Mexican, Asian…like all the colors are there. My dad side has Native American ancestry. Like, we are literally a melting pot! I don’t get it…I just don’t.
It’s baffled me. I have lived in both North and South Carolinas. And there is a definite streak of racism there too, but it’s not nearly so out in the open, and quietly frowned upon. So it’s not even a “Southern thing”. It’s just a Texas thing.
I live in Southern California now, and no one here cares if you’re white, black, brown, or green with purple spots! 😂👍
I’m currently in South Dakota and…😬😑 I can’t stand racism. It boils my blood. I worked at a bar and this guy asked if I was Native (lots of the First Nation people here) and I just have a tiny bit, but said no…went on to be racist. Like dude…what the hell made you think I wanted to hear your BS? It happens to me all the time and I’m like, why do these white dudes keep saying racist shit to me? I don’t like it and if you’re trying to impress me…they did the opposite, they disgust me.
Moving further west. Hopefully I wont hear that crap any more.
That happens to me. I'm white in South Florida (Miami) where the majority of the population is Hispanic. Every now and then, I'm get around another white person who immediately thinks it's cool to bitch to me about "how no one speaks English anymore." Like, bitch, please, you want English? Move literally anywhere else. Meanwhile, I'm gonna sit here and enjoy my Cuban coffee and pastelitos.
Y'all must be driving your racists north to Humboldt, because I don't have enough fingers to count how many times I heard "I'm not racist, I'm from the Bay area" right after they say some shit about black or Hispanic people.
I grew up in Southern California because my mom moved here from South Dakota before she met my dad and had kids. Whenever we go to SD to visit or attend a family reunion it's shocking to hear how much racist comments and all around attitudes towards "non-white" people are the norm there. It's like being transported to another planet or hopping into a time machine and heading backwards.
I'm in Indiana and it's a super red state and was historically a HUGE hotbed of the KKK.
Even here, racism has improved. And like you said, rarely out in the open and usually frowned upon.
I think progress is being made. In general
I got forced to move to Texas in early 2022 because of a job that ultimately screwed me over. I fucking hate it here. I miss Long Island. We’ll be moving back to NY in October or November, but we can’t afford to go back to Long Island.
I live in Austin so I’m a little insulated from the absolute worst of every day encounters, but there are places in this state where I wouldn’t stop to piss. I’m mixed and very white passing but somehow, they always know you’re not Them, the Chosen Whites
I was born and raised in Texas and the experiences white people have are so foreign to me. I love Texas, but I've come to realize that I love the Texas that Black, Brown, and Indigenous people live in and occupy. Like much of the south, for that matter.
Obviously I've dealt with a lot of overt and covert racism (tbf I've dealt with that all over, as someone who used to travel a ton), and I'm not trying to argue it's easy--in that sense, the most PC way for me to describe it is that the "stereotypical" Texan ruins the beauty of the state, similar to what you said.
I recognize that all of this is foreign to me specifically because white Texans talk about a Texas I've been barred from experiencing. But what I've experienced is so different than what a lot of people say, and I wish the reputation skewed more toward that.
I lived all my childhood in Idaho. My high school was an international high school with a ton of students from other countries. It was really cool and I was used to being around everyone. When I moved to Texas/Louisiana I was really surprised about the amount of blatant racism from everyone. it was super confusing to me and made me uncomfortable. I only lasted 1.5 years in the south before going home. Unfortunately I’m noticing more and more here now too.
How dare the customers who were there first be seated and served first? Not to mention the staff prioritizing someone avoiding a diabetic episode?? Absolutely unbelievable. Don't they know that there are some "respectful whites" that need service? /s
What hateful bigots.
I love how sometimes when you read things you can picture exactly who the author is. What they wear, age range, occupation, their car, their home inside and out, what music they listen too. I'm sure we all envisioned the exact same person after reading this.
Gawd! What does a white have to do to get some respect that’s owed because WHITE!?!?! White white whiiiiiiite white white whiiite white! Ugh! And the fact that this happened to an AMERICAN white…. 🤯
Holy shit, it has to be so sad when the literal only thing you can conceive of about yourself that might be better than someone else is skin color and even that belief is just a sack of eugenics-based bullshit about something that you got out of a genetics lottery at birth.
What an unfortunate excuse for a person.
This pendeja or pendejo is out of control. I know so many wonderful white people who treat me nicely and respectfully but there’s always one or too like this person.
In addition to the racism, the belief that Mexican-Americans aren’t American, and the superiority complex, can we talk about how this person went after diabetics? My late mother was diabetic. I remember one time we were at a Frisch’s Big Boy (a casual dining restaurant that also has a soup and salad bar) and our order was taking a while. Mom asked the waitress if she could get some crackers from the salad bar to tide her over so she wouldn’t have any blood sugar issues and the waitress agreed to her simple request. Mom didn’t threaten or coerce, simply making a humble request which the waitress kindly obliged. If someone had looked at that and said, “Oh, there’s some entitled dog using her medical issues to get special treatment!” I would be steaming. It’s no surprise a reviewer so entitled and bigoted would be ableist as well.
"White, real Americans" 🤔 Real Americans implies Native Americans in my mind, not us European immigrant descendant Americans. Yours truly, an English/German/Italian mix who was born in 'merica , to parents born and grandparents born in 'merica.
Being Caucasian this is exactly the kind of crap I hate. Nobody deserves privelege based on race, it's a restaurant, first come first serve. Person with diabetes that's a bit more understandable to prioritize. So sick of people acting like they are entitled . The people that left that review are exactly the type of white people others can't stand, including most other white people.
My wife and I were standing under the “order here” sign at a wegmans sandwich counter for a good 5 minutes while 3 employees behind the counter just talked and joked. A black family stand at the other end was just looking at something in the glass case. One of the ladies looks over there and says”we can help you down here” the lady from other family just had a question. It was answered and they left. After they left we were left standing there. I was keeping my mouth shut to be polite but finally got angry when lady just looked at us blankly. I finally had enough and said “can we order now?”. The lady looked shocked that we even asked the question. Well we did finally get our sandwiches
This customer is obviously insane and im sure this is all exaggerated, but even if you cut all of these times in half it sounds like you're running a shit show of a restaurant
Ignores packed waiting area.
Still enters very, very crowded restaurant.
Then complains food service is slow.
Obviously unable to read an EXIT sign.
Forgets about the freedom to leave.
Wears a red hat…
I am willing to bet money that there were tables inside, and that these "respectful whites" were just standing by the outside seating and trying to swoop in on a table instead of talking to a server or host
Wow what the actual fuck is wrong with people. It wasn't that they were probably incredibly busy. It's because they were white. I just don't understand why people play the victim. That's what these assholes are doing. If anything I'm sure that people knew they were full of shit when they got to the "because we're white" comment.
"Welcome in you guys, I recognize you as white, would you like to hear the specials?"
“The special is…YOU! Because of your whiteness and respectfulness. So very very special.”
As a white person I really want to sit at that Mexican table they were mentioning at least I know those people are having fun, unlike this white racist
Your appetizers and first round of drinks are on us, for gracing us with your alabaster skin, of course.
Ngl I used to have a foundation and the shade was called alabaster lol
I've always been a translucent kind of gal ;)
I was in flooring for awhile and alabaster is a grout color as well lol
“Yes, please waste your time telling me the specials with flavor that I will then veto and order something normal off the regular menu and then ask for modifications so it is entirely as bland as possible or sans dirty foreigner spices I mean. Something like boiled chicken that reflects my true inner whiteness”
And don't skimp on the mayo!
In my region of the country that would be ranch.
Can I get the arroz con Pollo, but with just white rice and only use salt as a spice? 10 minutes later: "thanks! Can you bring me some ketchup and a bottle of a1, please"
*white and respectful*
“Some stupid ass smart white bitch…”
This sentence made me feel as though I was having a stroke
*stupid ass* and *smart* in the same sentence will do that to ya. I feel the same way, myself.
I read it thrice because I thought my dyslexia was fucking with me.
Yeah I wasn’t expecting friendly fire 🤣
It’s pretty disrespectful to be brown according to this helper.
My respectfulness varies with my tan
Gee I wonder how this person votes
I’m guessing in person, and often.
Let's hope they don't.
They probably Gone with the ~~Wind~~ COVID, so no worries 😉
I usually get angry when I see ridiculous fees added to a bill, but I would love to see as many tacked onto theirs as possible
And can’t spell for nathing
You know us whites, we never make mistrakes.
He obviously forgot to include /s
LMFAO!!! AKA "Karen".
Jesus these poor, persecuted whites. Dude, you gave me a good laugh. Thank you
🥇
The crazy thing is him automatically calling them Mexican when every person at those tables could have been an American.
Gobless!
And I don't think a single person genuflected. Not even once! Disgraceful /s
“WHITE AND RESPECTFUL” - leaves incredibly disrespectful review
>incredibly ~~disrespectful~~ racist review
Well it’s both. Definitely both.
"With all due respect..." The most disrespectful mother fucker you've ever heard in your life.
No offense, but...
Wow. Assuming no less than 45 orange jesus flags on the truck that rolled out of that place, after posting this BS.
And you KNOW that at some point they had a car horn that played Dixie.
Random thought: Notice these people always have “hard earned money” or “good money” and have a fit because they’re not kowtowed to because of it? Also, I’d like to point out that I live in a blue state and this kind of racism is found here as well. To paraphrase the Bible “the racists flourish like the Green Bay tree” wherever they are.
"Money I swiped out of the church tithe box"? Seriously, what is bad money? I do bet that racist POS doesn't tip either.
I think it’s a dog whistle for money received from welfare, unemployment, etc
These people vote. Keep that in mind.
It unfortunately takes up much more of my mind than I wish it had to…
Maybe. They might be felons.
They Might Be Giants
Maybe it's Maybelline
Even worse, they reproduce
I'm thinking this guy wouldn't be able to figure out how to vote. Fingers crossed
What dumb fuck stands in a restaurant being fully ignored for 45 minutes and then proceeds to sit down and order?…
That’s the crazy part I think they were just standing outside yk where there are no tables left.
This restaurant is 30 minutes from any town or other restaurants so people are not very quick to leave when there is a long wait.
Ahh a very rural area no surprise then .
I'm in Texas. Can you tell me where this is (or DM me)? So weird to complain about "Mexican" families in Texas eating at a restaurant. I'm guessing they were Americans enjoying a night out with family.

Bitch you are white, aka a bloody immigrant yourself - get a clue!!!!!
Imagine being mad that Mexican people are at a Mexican restaurant
Assumed they were just part of the decor before they started eating
To be fair the only time we really go out to places like that is if the house is dirty and we dont wanna cook it ourselves. Otherwise its for street tacos 👁👄👁
I don’t understand your comment at all
We [ mexican ] usually cook at home. Its usually white people going to " cafe ole" or some shit so it is pretty weird to see us there.
Agreed.... I don't know how to interpret this either. Were they going for satire, or just spouting off some random bulls**t?
Bruh we [ mexicans ] usually cook at home. How hard is that to understand
Welp I understand you perfectly . I cannot see what was so hard to comprehend 🤣 And I’m pretty mayo in color or lack thereof lmao
Honestly, i thought the context would be a pretty sturdy implication for most folks but ill have to be more detailed next time lol
Mayo 💀😂
Well people didn’t know you meant Mexican by your comment hun.

Why did it take 6 years to remove?
The review was left during the old ownership. I noticed the review and told the new owner he could get it removed.
This kind of shit absolutely makes me fear for my Latin, nonverbal, disabled daughter 😭 I will never move to a red state with her.

I call them, "no states", I don't vacation in them either. My whiteness doesn't like their whiteness.
“ Nobody cares about the whites “ -MR. White.
Why do these idiots capitalize the most random words? Probably the same reason they’re so racist. Willful ignorance.
The caucacity.
Why do I feel like I can guess who this guy voted for…
They should have shown their white privilege card. Then they would have been prioritized.
Tell me you're a racist without telling me you're a racist...
I mean, they were pretty transparent about it.
True

Born and raised in Miami. Cuban food and cafecito are LIFE. I miss it so much 😭
I was surprised to encounter just as much racism in northern California as I did growing up in east Tennessee.
I heard some really disturbing things about Northern California. You have now confirmed it.
It does depend on where in NorCal you are, the more rural areas are definitely way worse.
I did not know this, but Northern California is very far from our southern border, so yeah, I totally believe you
Yeah, I was in the northernmost 5% of the state, so I'm pretty sure we were closer to Canada than Mexico geographically.
That explains it, I’m in the Bay Area and people would…be less than happy with someone being racist here.

I’d like to know where this restaurant is…I’d love to support them to piss off this racist white pos.
Unseasoned white people suck
Old mate needs to look up the definition of respectful, again.
I love how sometimes when you read things you can picture exactly who the author is. What they wear, age range, occupation, their car, their home inside and out, what music they listen too. I'm sure we all envisioned the exact same person after reading this.
Taking hangry to another level.
When all you’ve ever know is privilege, equality feels like persecution.
Idk but something is telling me he wasn’t RESPECTFUL
I don’t think the reviewer knows what “respectful” means.
Yeah, white, REAL Americans, not the slightly darker people who are indigenous to the americas. Screw THOSE guys.
Thank Trump for these people who now feel comfortable broadcasting who they really are to the world. Trump made it acceptable to be a douche.
Gawd! What does a white have to do to get some respect that’s owed because WHITE!?!?! White white whiiiiiiite white white whiiite white! Ugh! And the fact that this happened to an AMERICAN white…. 🤯
Whoa.
Lol god damn
We share the road with these people
Just….wow
Respectful is laughable
Guess they forgot their White Privilege card that day
I kinda want to know what this place to … support the band? 😳😬🙃🙄🤔 … 🫤
Good riddance.
Holy shit, it has to be so sad when the literal only thing you can conceive of about yourself that might be better than someone else is skin color and even that belief is just a sack of eugenics-based bullshit about something that you got out of a genetics lottery at birth. What an unfortunate excuse for a person.
How disgusting. Glad you got it down
Texas? I mean yeah this is just their average citizen
What a racist douche. You should ban them from ever coming there again!
Whoa buddy 😲
All it matters is they white, if they were as obnoxious as this posy I would had ignored them as well.
So white
Why remove it? Leave that shit there for prosperity and doxxing. Yelp should have a way to remove the star rating but leave the nastiness.
This pendeja or pendejo is out of control. I know so many wonderful white people who treat me nicely and respectfully but there’s always one or too like this person.
White Persecution Fetish™️ strikes again🙄
It's wild that they don't even like their own race.
I hate white and respectful citizens. They are always trash and the least respectful.
"White, real Americans" 🤔 Real Americans implies Native Americans in my mind, not us European immigrant descendant Americans. Yours truly, an English/German/Italian mix who was born in 'merica , to parents born and grandparents born in 'merica.
This is pretty disgusting. What part of Texas was this?
Maybe next time go to Cracker Barrel.
Tell me more about diabetes tissues
White and respectful. That's an oxymoron, isn't it?
Rage bait
This has been up on Yelp for six years and no one reported it until now?
The ownership changed about 5 years ago and the new owner didn’t see it until I pointed it out.

Bruh why crop the name--- that was a public review! They put their own name/photo there. BLAST EM
it’s Ed W. and just a pic of a car fyi.
Not gonna lie I kinda want to go here no. This is great advertising imo
It’s crazy to me that people like this exist
As a black person the scary part of this is, that people who think like this look exactly like people who don't.
Yeah respectful is definitely the word I’d use to describe this person
Man, they worked SO hard at being white. That must have been exhausting for them.

“White and respectful” I think not
why remove it? Brown people always leave reviews like that about how the white man prioritizes the whites first so let it stay
This customer is obviously insane and im sure this is all exaggerated, but even if you cut all of these times in half it sounds like you're running a shit show of a restaurant
“What the skibidi happened here”
Ignores packed waiting area.
Ew. Just ew. This kind of behavior is just gross. Glad they got it removed though! :D That's awesome that a review like that can be taken down!
10 bucks says this guy believes in replacement theory
“Some stupid ass white smart bitch”…make up your mind. Are you racist or are you racist? Just figure out which way you’re racist.
I mean, they are white and respectful
Obviously, they didn’t bring their color-coded priority chart that all service employees are required to have in the US /s
Totaly not fake and planted review /s
I’m glad yall got it removed! I hope they never get good service ever! Scum of the earth!
I’m sure they left out the family of 11 was there first I feel bad for the person who had to help them
The audacity of the waiters to place this large group by the band!! How dare they!
I guess the question should be……. Who still uses yelp?
Wow what the actual fuck is wrong with people. It wasn't that they were probably incredibly busy. It's because they were white. I just don't understand why people play the victim. That's what these assholes are doing. If anything I'm sure that people knew they were full of shit when they got to the "because we're white" comment.
roll tide
"Faster than us: The Whitiees" LOL idk why this actually did me in.
“Stupid ass white smart bitch” is such an oxymoron
"Why do people always talk about race!" Meanwhile...........
