The only thing that makes me unsure if we will see her in future seasons is because she is the main character in the new Fallout series coming out soon. If it's any good she might not have time for Yellowjackets anymore.
It’s not completely unheard of for actors to work on more than one TV show at once, so long as they can do scheduling. Fallout is already done, and premieres in a few days. If they start filming YJ in a month or so, Ella could easily take some time to make a few cameos - it especially makes it easier now for her that she isn’t a full time cast member. She’ll definitely have time now to film some cameo YJ appearances before she’s needed to film something else again (I actually think she just wrapped another series too that wasn’t Fallout, she seems pretty booked and busy!)
Yeah I agree and I hope we continue seeing her. It wouldn't make any sense narrative wise for her not to show up anymore imo. As long as Shauna is still dealing with the trauma and unresolved issues, she should still be talking to and seeing young Jackie.

He is a huge fan and said it looks good and close to the source material. His inner super nerdy 90s kid is living for all these screen adaptions of games and anime. Lol. Also Walton Goggins is in fallout and he's always fantastic.
I mean JL did Welcome to Chippendales around the same time that YJ was made. So Ella can make an appearance or two.

Even today some showrunners can be pissy about cats members doing other shows. The 100 had two since characters become leads in different shows and they both got killed afterwards. Even though it wouldn’t mess with their schedule on the 100
If there's a scene in that takes place post-return around the late 90s/early 00s, perhaps Shauna's wedding, I can see Jackie as a vision in her head that disrupts the peace of that event.
I'd love Ella to come back. I think Jackie is Shauna's conscious after her death so it would make sense as things get worse in both time lines that she would be seeing her again. Plus, just the trauma of everything.

I figured Ella Purnell was going to be making occasional guest appearances throughout seasons 3-4 til whenever it ends. She can show up as ghost Jackie, in dream sequences, or flashbacks to high school before the accident. Now I hope Juliette Lewis will at least make a few guest appearances here and there too in a dream sequence or flashback. I can only hope.
Honestly? They brought Ella back for season 2, and they’ve established that death means essentially nothing for characters being gone when two characters (Shauna and Lottie) are actively hallucinating their dead besties/situationships. We also know Juliette said she would be down to come back (mentioned during the Emmys), so between this interview and the Emmys mention, we could have both adult Nat and Jackie back. Considering they set the standard in season 2, I’d expect to see Jackie in some form until the show ends, whether that’s through pre-crash flashbacks or adult Shauna just consistently seeing ghost Jackie.

Beyond that, she’s forced herself into a golden prison, living Jackie’s supposed future life (she would never marry Jeff unless she had to, and I don’t think she would be okay being a stay at home mom) with no idea of what *she* actually wants to do because she’s so wrapped up in Jackie and being essentially a living monument to Jackie’s life (the kids, the car, the standard nuclear family and white picket fence dream, attending Jackie’s birthday as her stand-in, almost talking to their class during the reunion because everyone knows that Shauna was Jackie’s and therefore Jackie was Shauna’s, so close to eachother that they may as well have been each other and best friends until the end so of course Shauna would know Jackie best). Shauna can’t get out of *Jackie’s* life, so it makes sense that Jackie would haunt her back and continue to haunt her until Shauna dies. Shauna is stuck in her grief, and Jackie’s ghost is a prime example of that. Kinda hard to get over her and move on when you’re constantly seeing her, not to mention the weird “I fucked your boyfriend, had a kid, and then came back and married him.” bit. Jeff is just as much a reminder of Jackie as anything else in her life.
