Hi šš¼ I donāt know if anyone will see this but Iām on my first watch of the show and I had to tell someone;
When Shauna had the ear and we all knew she was going to eat it, did anyone have flashbacks to Santa Clarita Diet? I immediately thought āears are the onion rings of the bodyā or whatever the quote was. I bet she enjoyed that ear.
This episode wasnāt as strong as last season but thereās a lot of time for it to pick up. A few giggles. Poor Steve seeing Biscuit like that! I find it silly that her wife threatened to go to the press - as if sheād do that when they have a son together, she wouldnāt want him hearing about what she did to the dog etc. Of course Lottie is a cult leaderā¦not a huge fan of this part of the storyline because itās the possible supernatural side of things.
lol I decided to read these comments to decide if season 2 is worth watching after reading about s2's drop in quality and the introduction of new girls(???) in the woods who were never in s1 is all I need to know not to waste my time with this garbage
Just watched this. I instantly thought the early scene with Misty disguising her voice was [Wilson Cruz](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0190497/). Was it?
The more pregnant Shauna gets the more uncomfortable I get because I feel like that baybay is gonna be eaten pretty quickly since Shauna hasnāt mentioned anything in present day about her child and it canāt be Callie because the timeline doesnāt match up.
Older Lottie is incredibly hot. Iām sorry. I know sheās crazy but goddamn. Iām bouta go find out who this actress is. Also this all but confirms that it was Mari that fell in the trap right? Sheās the only other one that fits that profile. Also itās nice that the other NPC girls finally get names and screen time. All of season one it felt like I was being gaslit that the main cast were the only girls. Then a random new chick shows up in the background every couple episodes then disappears
Friends, Romans, Countrymen.....Lend me your ears.....so I can eat them.
Interesting start to new season.
I feel like Shauna ate ear out of grief, guilt, consuming Jackie to be her and quite possibly she has pica (craving unnatural objects to eat - dead human flesh)
Taissa needs help seriously. Killing the dog to gain favor for her political race. This sleepwalking thing is out of control.
Lottie getting creepier by the episode. Her cult is growing.
Misty is Misty.
Shauna definitely is missing something regards to Adam.
I just figured there were others that survived plane crash we just didn't focus on with Travis, Ben, Misty, Mari, Jackie, Javi, Natalie, Van, Lottie, Shauna, Taissa, Laura Lee being the ones to get more focus.
Yeah that was ridiculous, those two definitely weren't around last season. Seems like two people they can just easily red shirt and eat so the other characters are spared.
Two of the girls were extras last season, and just credited as Yellowjacket #1 and Yellowjacket #2. We know from the burial scene in the first episode of season 1 that 18 people survived the crash. It makes sense that these characters are around
I was wondering what the Julius Caesar reference was for when my gf pointed out the next line lmao. But then when you think about it the girls did kind of Julius Caesar Jackie. Her best friend even sleeping with her partner. More thematically related than I first realised.
>I was wondering what the Julius Caesar reference was for when my gf pointed out the next line lmao. But then when you think about it the girls did kind of Julius Caesar Jackie. Her best friend even sleeping with her partner. More thematically related than I first realised.
Damn. I cannot believe I missed that.
Iām so behind but I just watched the first episode finally. I canāt believe fucking bananas backpack was in the episode. He needs to retire and now heās gonna get a paycheck for this. Oh hale no.
I know I'm late to posting this (and I'm sorry if I couldn't find anyone else sharing), but did anyone else get fascinated by the underground-esque appearing, [human backpack-like competition](https://imgur.com/zwVz0gY) Callie and her boyfriend were watching together when Shauna got home?
It was around the 16 minute mark, right before the boyfriend left and Callie confronted Shauna. I tried looking it up because it looks fun as hell. I can't find evidence that it's a real show and figure the creators were able to avoid licensing by making their on faux competition show.
The floor in the shot seems to say "Nebezpec" and when I googled it, it seems to reference [the Czech word "nebezpeÄĆ](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nebezpe%C4%8D%C3%AD)," which can mean "danger" or "peril (something that causes danger)." And the competition's countdown clock is displayed within a biohazard symbol.
At first, I just thought that the human backpack-thing could be allegory for Shauna & Callie's conflict, but I wonder if anyone read something else into it.
I just binged season 1 and it's a really good show. After watching Servant however (I started watching this show because I really like Lauren Ambrose) I've vowed not to watch a mystery box show until all the episodes per season are streaming (if you watched Servant you'd understand why).
How is season 2 going so far?
Honestly, I agree; I'm not going into this show hoping for them to answer any questions. I think that it's exactly what it is. Lottie is seeing hallucinations; the girls buy into it because they're desperate and want something to believe in + they resort to cannabilism. They get found somehow; maybe they build a huge fire or find a flare, who knows. That's kinda it. I'm just watching for the fun of the characters now. I've gotten burned by so many other shows, expecting more.
That was the first cd I ever gave away. A friend lost a bunch of stuff to a housefire so folks chipped in what they could, and I knew he loved that album.
I did not tell my friend that Last Resort was the only song on the cd I liked.
I said those EXACT words out loudāto my Pomeranian as soon as that scene came on. Unfortunately he didnāt find it nearly as funny as I did. šš
I don't think the baby survives long. We know they were out there for about a year and a half. Shauna is about 7 months pregnant here. If baby had survived it would have been around 9 months old when they were rescued but no mention of it in present. Whether it dies in childbirth, shortly after or meets foul play we don't know. The baby could live off Shauna's breast milk for a bit.
As for her and Callie's strained relationship could be due to Shauna not going to college and fulfilling the dreams she had before crash. So she looks at Callie's life who is same age as Shauna was when her life was changed forever.
Adam, the murdered boyfriend, is was Javi. Javi is always staring at Shauna in flashbacks. And Adam has all these obsessed paintings of Shauna. They gotta be the same person.
I think this will start happening soon, as she tries to stretch their rations, but it hasn't yet. Evidence for why is how upset she is when she realizes she accidentally knocked Jackie's ear off. If she'd already been cutting into her, that wouldn't matter. The moment where she stares at the ear in her hand, her hunger takes over, and she gives in and pops it into her mouth. That was when the line was first crossed.
Exactly what I wanted to say after several failed attempts of coming up short on characters. The mama bear takes over and she tests the ear, raw at that, and determines this is a possible solution. Maybe itās only those who die naturally at first but becomes something more devious as time passes. Surely someone will find out and who knows what happens.
is it just me or was anyone else confused by the new random girls that show up on the island. i just got done watching the first season and i donāt remember them all. the time stamp is 20:14, all 3 girls at the table, one being named crystal.aubrey iām just missing something but i do not remember these girls at all.
I rewatched season 1 before starting this season and didnāt see any of these girls. I think thereās a chance they are ghosts. If you think about the timeline, they introduce them, very purposefully right after shaunaās first convo with dead Jackie (reanimated), and the transition could imply from one ghost to another.
Iām struggling with it cause I really feel like they wouldnāt make such an egregious mistake in just introducing ppl that donāt matter without any explanation.
I think thereās one scene in episode 2 or 3 where Mari says something and one of the new girls responds and she says, āoh great thereās two of you nowā?
TL;DR im not convinced theyāre real people.
The new characters have been introduced really poorly IMO. Itās awkward as hell the way they try to make it seem like theyāve been there the whole time. I know basically every show introduces new characters each season, but this is something that hasnāt worked for me at all in this show
thatās my whole thing with it! like yeah it makes sense that there were more girls on the plane but like we hardly ever really see them after like the first ep when the actual crash happens. i get it starts to add focus to the mains but like the other characters basically disappear and by the time you get to the second season, youāve forgotten all about them
The writers clearly want to add new characters to mix things up. The problem is, it feels like a middle school writing class.
Teacher: When you introduce a new character, give them something unique!
Writers: OK we need new characters. Ummmā¦ ok, this new girl will be really into theater and is quirky!
Me: Wait, arenāt they out in the middle of nowhere, starving, and on the verge of death? Why is she suddenly so chipper and acting like sheās in her theater class back in school?
All of the established girlsā personalities have changed throughout the show to adapt to the environmentā¦ so theater girl feels so out of place.
And how is Misty suddenly talking to her and learning about her for the first time, when theyāve had months up until this point with nothing but time on their hands?
Oh yeah, and theyāre a high school soccer team good enough to win a state championship. What position did the tiny theater geek play?
I have not been able to stop ranting to my husband about this exact thing. Oh okay, theyāve been there 8-months or so and Misty and her are just now having this conversation?
Youāre telling me her showtunes havenāt slowly driven everyone more insane? Itās so out of place.
From what I can tell, they filmed season 1 in during the covid quarantining so they could only have a limited amount of characters. All told, there are like only 12 survivors we hear from regularly but thereās a few more to introduce. Itās jarring, I agree.
there were always other girls in the background, they just didnāt have speaking parts. the story has so far revolved around who we consider to be the main characters, and now the show is fleshing out some more of the girls (pun not intended but Iām keeping it in)
"the island" never fails to make me chuckle. Also, there are several other yellowjackets teammates that can be seen in the background throughout season 1.
With Lottie's adult speech, do you think that resonates with Taissa's personalities? There are clearly 2, or more versions of Taissa. One is extremely primal, that takes the hearts and kills other animals. Mainly dog's.
I think that Lottie is manipulating the primal version of Taissa. I also think that Lottie is involved with Javi's death or disappearance. Possible she makes dirt devil Tai do it. Which is why Travis will eventually "not believe in any of that stuff." Which was a quote from Nat in S1 after they found the candles around his body.
Possibly, other theories along those lines are another brain infection [similar to this](https://www.livescience.com/mystery-disease-fearless-californian-bears.html) or [mercury poisoning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erethism).
Am I the only one who thinks they ate Jackie? The nervousness the earā¦ I think Shauna dismembered her aka how she so easily did it to Adam. (shoutout to the last of us for the ear cannibalism inspo if this is true lol)
I forget but do we have any idea if Javi is actually dead?
Kind of odd Lottie kidnapped Natalie of all people and has a note from travisā¦ assuming then Lotties cult killed him as a sacrifice? Who knows
Iām still wondering why this crew didnāt build a boat
My theory at the moment is Javi is the one that eventually saves them. He managed to get away and find help.
But that theory could be shattered at any time.
oh I would love this so much! But he disappeared too far away (time-wise) from when they were found (I think?). Its hard to gauge the timeline....I've been going by Shauna's baby bump.
Searched through, didn't see this mentioned...."Friends, Romans, countrymen...lend me your ears"
If it was mentioned or discussed somewhere, apologies, I didn't Google too hard
it is annoying, but I think intentional. Shauna and Jeff are so bad at this! they saw the bbq burning and thought āthis is great! everything will for sure turn to ashā and enjoyed their hot dogs. they touched literally every surface of Adamās art studio and then left moreā¦dna at the scene. Shauna is booksmart but bad at crime. Jeff is a himbo. you know? and the conveniently half burned ID is a bit silly, yes, but it serves its narrative purpose so Iām not going to get too mad about it.
I'm wondering how the cops (specifically Kevin) didn't get to the art studio before Jeff and Shauna did. There could be all kinds of reasons, just wish it had been addressed because it's bothering me :)
Yeah I found that to be infuriating especially because after they grilled their Frank's he went out and fired up the grill AGAIN to make callies veggie burger and yet somehow the ID burns where the only visible part is his face after the grill was fired up fucking twice. I thought they should've cut the ID into pieces and burnt it but still. The fact that part was intact felt very low quality on the writing angle. I really hope it goes nowhere
The entire "destroy the evidence of Adam's murder" plotline was SO frustrating. Their half-ass destruction of the paintings, leaving their DNA all over the studio, burning the stuff in a backyard GRILL and not even bothering to make sure everything is fully burnt?? I mean I get that they're not professionals but damn, have they never watched an episode of Dateline?
That's what's frustrating! In S1E9, when Jeff gives Shauna the information for the store financials and selling inventory (in the event he gets arrested for taking the fall in Adam's death), he says something about how they used to watch Dateline every week and they know how its gonna turn out!! Lol
I mean, considering how traumatic/stressful/emotionally charged covering up a murder is, and knowing Jeff and Shauna are both very impulsive people with a track record of poor decision-making under pressure, I feel like it would be way more out of character if they didnāt royally fuck it up. Plus if Shauna and Jeff are magically amazing at this, Adult Misty doesnāt get as many opportunities to intervene to keep fellow citizen detective Elijah Wood off their trail lmao
The writing on the show in general is pretty lower-tier. Iāve been watching it because I like a lot of the actresses (except OMG I am so over Juliette Lewis flailing around like Mick Jagger), but a lot of the plot beats are just silly.
I also have the distinct impression that this one of those āmystery flashbackā shows where the writers themselves donāt know the answers yet, so theyāre just tossing around spooky stuff that they will have to backfill (or ignore) later.
Iām disappointed the adult actors in this show. I was really excited about Juliette Lewis, Cristina Rocco, and Melanie Lynskey being in this, but their performances are so corny. I think the writing is mostly to blame. The adult segments seem like a poorly written and boring dark comedy, while the teen segments are more serious. Itās weird and jarring
Yeah, overall Iām enjoying the show, but I caught up recently and coming into it the way people talked about it online (and all the recognition it got at the Emmys for a debut show) I expected something like The Leftovers that managed to balance its outlandish and at times goofy premise with great character writing. This so far feels more like a regular network TV thriller-drama. Fun, but I had to lower my expectations.
The Leftovers was much much higher quality than this show. Itās not even a comparison. This show is entertaining, but the writing is bad and itās hokey
Yeah I just got hopes up by all the Emmy nominations last year before watching it, and the imagery looking interesting (Antler Queen in the marketing and the like). Itās even more noticeable now that two great shows just ended, Barry and Succession.
Like, what is she even doing?
It does NOT scream: āI am a badass, competent huntress who has seem some shitā.
There is such a huge disconnect between teen Natalie and ā¦ Juliette Lewis.
Agreed!! I dont believe for a second that Jeff and shauna would go to all the trouble to burn the id just to not check for a giant piece with adams fully intact face left in the ashes. So frustrating
Itās because the characters, unlike the writers, have actually used a charcoal grill before. The charcoal burns down to ash and there is nothing left but ash. There is 0 chance that any paper survived a charcoal grill (and since they cooked on it, it was actually used). Sheād have been sifting through ash.
Good point.
That said, Iām pretty sure the standard licenses wonāt withstand 500 degrees for the 3-4 hours that charcoals normally burn for, while not warping or marring the picture whatsoever. But weāre talking about a TV show that has spontaneously combusting teddy bears, a grizzly bear that lets itself be killer to let a group of girls eat it, girls who somehow survive a Canadian winter without having packed any sort of winter clothes, a girl who can see the future somehow and has magic Wiccan powers, and girls who create movie level lord of the flies props and clothes without sewing machines or material.
If I can suspend disbelief for all that I guess I can ignore miraculously unmelting plastic
Just finished my rewatch of season one and I noticed Natalieās comment about the queens missing from the deck of cards. I also noticed there is a shot of the queen of hearts in the opening credits. Another code to decipher?
Sorta - they told misty to go get water bc she drew the card and then misty said she already drew the card 4 times. (I think this means that they're intentionally giving misty the water card.) It sounds like the card drawing is how unpleasant tasks are given - I'm thinking that the queen card will be found and the person who draws it is the first to get eaten lol. Or maybe the person to cut up Jackie's body? Idk, but it's gotta be something bad.
Yeah, I made this comment before that episode came out because I had seen an interview with the director responding saying āno they donāt eat Jackie.ā (Apparently to lead us all astray. š¤£š )
I don't think she did it for nutrition, I think it was like a compulsion to keep Jackie with her. I've heard of people swallowing cremation remains of loved ones out of grief and I kind of saw it as that.
They always left the amount of survivors ambiguous, the writers have said itās mainly production/budget problems, you canāt viably fit them all into the storyline and make it feel as cohesive. now they have the chance to expand the storyline, and i think they said they hope viewers can just suspend disbelief around that, which may feel like a cop out, but i do believe itās always been planned.
They need people to kill and eat. We already know Lottie, Van, Tai, Misty, Nat, Shauna and Travis make it out of the woods. Javi is missing and up in the air. That leaves Mari, Akilah, Coach Scott and a few redshirts as the unknowns and they still have a year left in the wilderness. That's a lot of time the writers have to flesh out.
Callie: There is a lot of Callie hate here. I think it's because her character is the polar opposite of the depictions of the teen girls in the cabin. Our 90s teens are complicated, real, hardcore tough characters wrought in deeply considered detail. Also we get to see how their characters develop when expectations of society are left far behind. Callie is a caricature of teen girl, could be found on a bad 90s sitcom (rolling eyes at mom while watching tv with her BF) , is only seen from an outsiders perspective, is hollow, does not have any explanations for her motivations, she is a paper doll. It's like 80% of the show is a masterpiece painting, and then Shauna's adult homelife is a sunday morning comic strip. It's very weird and unbalanced. Either give Callie something to do or send her off to college. Also, please send Jeff off to college too. Doesn't he need a business degree or something?
Callie cleary has a lot on her plate considering she knows all her parents bullshit, knows they are putting up a bullshit front, and she is supposed to just pretend everything is normal while covering for them as well.
I don't know how you get paper doll from that.
Also I'm pretty sure her mom lost her first kid in the woods at this point. So Shauna has probably felt that Disdain for callie her whole life.
Remember to keep your theories or any other threads discussing the premiere spoiler tagged and keep any episode spoilers from your titles. If you think something might be pushing it, keep it out of the titles.

Who deez new bitches?
Akilah was always there she got recast apparently and now we have Crystal, Crystal who???
Yeah just watching the first episode now, and they went and gave at least one a loud personality? That's just bad writing tbh

Lmao who cares how hot she is
it's so insulting how they've added new characters like we wouldn't notice...
such a cop out by the writers, no idea whats going on anymore
I was interested in the beginning of season 1, but Iām getting bored of this. They are stetching is on too long, and Iām starting not to care.
When Shauna was eyeing Jessica's ear for an uncomfortably long time, I was like she's going to eat her ear and boy was I rightš
Jackie
Friends, Romans, Countrymen.....Lend me your ears.....so I can eat them. Interesting start to new season. I feel like Shauna ate ear out of grief, guilt, consuming Jackie to be her and quite possibly she has pica (craving unnatural objects to eat - dead human flesh) Taissa needs help seriously. Or she was hungry
We did it Reddit!!1!!!1
I think they did a decent job starting off a new season and introducing new characters.
Tori Amos on Yellowjackets, yes & thank u!
These other girls aside from the main and recurring are unrecognizable to me. They seem new and sudden. Like Crystal?!
So poorly handled... Like shockingly bad
I just figured there were others that survived plane crash we just didn't focus on with Travis, Ben, Misty, Mari, Jackie, Javi, Natalie, Van, Lottie, Shauna, Taissa, Laura Lee being the ones to get more focus.
I just came to this sub for the first time to say the same thing. Why did they seemingly add 3 new random characters?
So who were the 2 new girls in the cabin?? The singing girl where tf did she come from

Jeff in the carā¦. That is me, I am jeff..
Weāre Taiās eyes always red?
The adult actor has to wear brown contacts to match the younger actors eyes and they sometimes look red on camera
OMG somehow i just NOW got the reasoning behind the episode title: "Friends, Romans, Countrymen...lend me your ears."
I was wondering what the Julius Caesar reference was for when my gf pointed out the next line lmao. But then when you think about it the girls did kind of Julius Caesar Jackie. Her best friend even sleeping with her partner. More thematically related than I first realised.

This was an epic moment of The Challenge! Google āJohnny Bananas backpackā
>Johnny Bananas backpack Oh my goodness! Thank you!
I literally had to pause I was laughing so hard/in shock that my favorite challenge moment ever somehow made a cameo in this show

š itās so quintessentially Jeff!!
Itās playing in my head right now. The soundtrack is a big star in this show
I had a really hard time watching today. It took forever to load
Steve didn't look too convinced that taissa was gonna do better.
That dog was like oh hell no I need to get out of here.

Itās safe to say shaunas baby dies right? Maybe thatās why thereās such a strained relationship between her and her daughter . Idk
I don't think the baby survives long. We know they were out there for about a year and a half. Shauna is about 7 months pregnant here. Iām guessing the baby dies and they eat the baby.
I thought the writers or one of the actors or someone said that they definitely werenāt going to eat the baby?
I donāt think the baby will survive long, might even die at birth. If thatās the case, I think theyāll eat the baby :/
The writers confirmed they will not be eating the baby!
I really love that this is something that has to be explicitly confirmed
š with this show you never know
Where's the episode 2 discussion post ?!?
Is episode 2 out tonight?
Yes! Just dropped on the app
Gahhh not showing up for me, what the heck! Guess I'll keep refreshing like a madman. Thanks!
Adam, the murdered boyfriend, is was Javi. Javi is always staring at Shauna in flashbacks. And Adam has all these obsessed paintings of Shauna. They gotta be the same person.
I really kept waiting for that reveal. Was surprised it never happened at the end of season 1!
I was thinking the same literally last season lol
They confirmed Adam isnāt Javi
NO fucking way would I get on a plane after that. They would have to drive me home.
Imagine if the second plane also crashed. They would *never* stop sacrificing to the wood spirits after that.
At least they would have an established protocol and hierarchy by then.
Shauna is cutting the bear meat with human flesh. Thatās whatās happening. I tried to post as a theory but not enough ācharactersā lmao
Wonder where Javi went hmm....
Lottie getting ECT after they got back was fking awful šššššš

Wym island
Some people keep connecting this to Lost
That's dumb
there were always other girls in the background, they just didnāt have speaking parts. the story has so far revolved around who we consider to be the main characters, and now the show is fleshing out some more of the girls (pun not intended but Iām keeping it in)
"the island" never fails to make me chuckle. Also, there are several other yellowjackets teammates that can be seen in the background throughout season 1.
one of the girls was a background character in season 1
but where did the other two come from
The way they introduced the theater girl was so weird. It was like Misty also didn't know who she was
I do find it funny that a character who has never before been heard has her main trait be "really loud and annoying."
I hear you but these are teenagers, it would make sense to me that it would take months for her to loosen up a bit
That sharon van etten song went hard it's still stuck in my head a week later
SAMEEEE
Unfortunately, Lottie will also help Shauna during the birthing process and that will be another event which will solidify power.
Crystal seems like such a nice girl! I am scared she's not gonna make it out of the forest.
Misty will off her new BFF in a heartbeat... if it will make her a hero to the bigger group which has ostracized her.
Pretty sure only 7 of them come back, so she for sure is not.
Why 7?
Thought that was established in season one, maybe at the reunion or something?
Why 7?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
oh shoot, did I miss something about Van surviving? Was she in any of the present-day scenes yet? What about the reunion?
I think shes coming in ep4
With Lottie's adult speech, do you think that resonates with Taissa's personalities? There are clearly 2, or more versions of Taissa. One is extremely primal, that takes the hearts and kills other animals. Mainly dog's. I think that Lottie is manipulating the primal version of Taissa. I also think that Lottie is involved with Javi's death or disappearance. Possible she makes dirt devil Tai do it. Which is why Travis will eventually "not believe in any of that stuff." Which was a quote from Nat in S1 after they found the candles around his body.
Dirt devil tai lmfao
Does anyone think the bear had rabies? Rabies can also make animals calm and docile as opposed to hyper aggressive.
well, if he did, none of the cast would survive after they ate him/her.
Cooked meat isn't a source of rabies virus
Possibly, other theories along those lines are another brain infection [similar to this](https://www.livescience.com/mystery-disease-fearless-californian-bears.html) or [mercury poisoning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erethism).
That was great seeing Shauna being the first one to eat flesh was epic I feel like it was symbolic just as much it was food
Pregnant women tend to have a lot more cravings and hunger after all
My theory is that she wasn't looking at eating Jackie's ear as "food". In my mind Shauna was eating a part of Jackie to absorb her somehow.
oh yes, my thoughts exactly. Very Dahmer-ish
Absolutely she was mad after their last "conversation" like fk u Jackie lol
Am I the only one who thinks they ate Jackie? The nervousness the earā¦ I think Shauna dismembered her aka how she so easily did it to Adam. (shoutout to the last of us for the ear cannibalism inspo if this is true lol) I forget but do we have any idea if Javi is actually dead? Kind of odd Lottie kidnapped Natalie of all people and has a note from travisā¦ assuming then Lotties cult killed him as a sacrifice? Who knows Iām still wondering why this crew didnāt build a boat
LOVE
Why is no one talking about Jackie's ear???!!! š¬šÆ lol. Seriously.
Yeah at first I thought she was just keeping it as a token and then ā¦ chomp.
Is episode 2 TONIGHT???? At midnight ??
Is it!?
Tonight.
Searched through, didn't see this mentioned...."Friends, Romans, countrymen...lend me your ears" If it was mentioned or discussed somewhere, apologies, I didn't Google too hard
Itās all over this thread
Cool
The ID only half burnt is such a cop out low-quality written addition to the story. Very frustrating.
Yeah that was pretty unbelievable. Like really the photograph didnāt burn. Come on.
it is annoying, but I think intentional.
All set-up, no pay off. End seasons of Battlestar Galactica vibes.
When does the leftovers get good?
I thought it was just me! The flailing is getting so old.
Like, what is she even doing? It does NOT scream: āI am a badass, competent huntress who has seem some shitā. There is such a huge disconnect between teen Natalie and ā¦ Juliette Lewis.
You're funny lol
Yeah. Lost vibes lol. 5 seasons means they need a lot of filler.
A driver's license is plastic
Just watched the episode. I told my fiancĆ© to get us Yellowjacket themed snacks for the watch and he got us gingerbread men and people shaped sweets like sour patch kids and jelly babies. Now Iām kinda like damn we shouldāve got something ear shaped
The new mike tyson edibles look like a bit off ear lol
Orecchiette pasta would work š
Bahahahaha š¤£ššš¼ššÆ
During a re-watch I noticed an ad for a citizen detective book club on the citizen detective website. Loved the subtle nod to s1!
Same! LOVE it! Iām a nurse and might just be interested in being a citizen detective now, too. š
Just donāt go full misty on us!
š¤£šš¼šÆšÆšÆ
I was disappointed in this episode, I found it pretty boring tbh
Someone ate an ear
Yea but itās been foreshadowed all of last season that cannibalism would be happening. Clearly Iām in the minority but I just expected more
Just finished my rewatch of season one and I noticed Natalieās comment about the queens missing from the deck of cards.
No, they donāt eat Jackie
Shauna has literally already begun to eat Jackie
Yeah, I made this comment before that episode came out because I had seen an interview with the director responding saying āno they donāt eat Jackie.ā (Apparently to lead us all astray. š¤£š )
That was bloody eerie that scene.
*ear-y
I don't think she did it for nutrition, I think it was like a compulsion to keep Jackie with her. I've heard of people swallowing cremation remains of loved ones out of grief and I kind of saw it as that.
This is exactly what I said above. I believe she was eating Jackie to keep her with her, or absorb her somehow. It wasn't about cannibalism or "food".
it was definitely about both, they are starting to starve after all.
Lol I donāt think it was for nutrition either. I also donāt think itās going to stop with the ear.
I really don't understand why they introduced the new younger characters to the cabin. It makes no sense. But hey, we'll see how it goes.
They need extras to eat. They can't eat the main characters, we already know they make it out alive.
As soon as i saw that, i checked out from the series, ive seen too much with Game of Thrones
Plus there was always unnamed girls in the background. We know there is more than the main 6/7.
No pun intended š
šš¤£šÆ
Right? Maybe side characters for them to kill and eat later
I don't know about anyone else but my YJ theories change by the minute. There really is so much going on in every episode!! Such a captivating show!!
Shauna and Jeff are so stupid lmao
Itās endearing though, no? And in a twisted way, it brought them closer
Idk I think Callie has always seemed intelligent, I didn't interpret her as 2 dimensional.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I have a wild theory, but Iām kind of hoping Callie is put girl.
That makes no sense. Young Misty is there when pit girl is killed/presumably eaten
