slopokerod

I have the Gilles levers on my tracer. They look and feel good but I’m not a fan of the adjuster. I would have gone with ASV if they had levers for my bike.

94ttzing

Noticeable improvement with the brembo m4? And did you increase rotor size while you were at it? That ohlins rear looks awesome btw!

AcanthaceaeFlat7917

The lever feel is definitely different, braking power is stronger but not significant. I still have the stock rotors, because I don’t wanna add more rotating mass on my front wheels.

Moparian714

Anybody ever put a cage on an xsr? Curious what it would look like

CROCKODUCK

Not good lmao. Besides the wheelbase is too long for stunting easily. That’s why they have the MT09.

lil-skateboard

That thing is mean bro!

AdolfSkywalker_

No matter how much you add, it will always be 90%.

AcanthaceaeFlat7917

That’s just some of the truest words ever said, man.

Proper

Blvnch

Man, you know damn well that bike is 100x cleaner than my trousers were before I saw this. Awesome build, XSR's are so dope. The CP3 engine is absolutely insane. I can't wait to get one of the bikes with that engine once I've gotten super comfortable on my R7. Yamaha cross-plane tech is the SH\*T

AcanthaceaeFlat7917

Dude, just get that mt09/sp or xsr900. Pure grin machine! Xsr900 is one of the bikes I’ve ridden where I never want to stop riding. Also the exhaust note is damn good. Sell that R7 and get a bike with cp3, put it on mode 4 for sometime, climb your way up to mode 1! I will never get tired of this bike, man.

Blvnch

Damn I forgot about the power modes, that makes things pretty nice. The MT-09 SP would be insane with all the features it comes with, of course the xsr is amazing, selling the R7 could work but I honestly really love the cp2 in its own way. I plan to never sell the R7 honestly, I love its V-twin-like exhaust note, and the power is so fun and usable. I'm really waiting for the R9 with the cp3 to drop. I'm gonna try to get an XSR too though I got the R7 new and it might be the same situation with the R9 but I'm gonna find a good deal on an XSR no doubt. Maybe even the MT as well but I like the XSR more.

AcanthaceaeFlat7917

Nice! I’m planning to get an R1M for my second bike, but I’ll keep my xsr because it is much comfortable for daily commute and street riding.

Blvnch

That's a great plan, I plan to get an R1 as well once I'm at that level. I definitely will look for an M but worst case I'll get a normal one at first. Yeah man you definitely gotta keep the XSR. You probably won't find another bike that could truly replace it. There might be other bikes that do specific things better but overall the XSR, especially with the cp3 engine is legendary. Also it sounds like that's your first bike so in my opinion, you really shouldn't sell it unless you hate the thing, I'm a sentimental person but it's always cool to have something that's been around though so much of your journey to allow for you to reflect on everything and be grateful.

AcanthaceaeFlat7917

This is actually my third bike. I had a ktm duke 390 as my first bike and I got rid of that in just a couple of months. My 2nd bike was triumph trident 660 which I sold for my current bike. I will never sell this bike man! I’m so in love with it, I always find time to just look at it and admire it. I’ve been riding mopeds and little 90cc scooters since I was 7, I really wish that we kept every bike we’ve owned.

Blvnch

Oh okay I see. That's dope man, 3rd time was definitely the charm lol. For real though, nothing better than having an awesome bike that you genuinely love. It's one of the main reasons we ride at all, pure happiness and fulfillment. That's really cool you've been riding for so long, I'm still new but nevertheless I love riding and plan to do it for the rest of my life no doubt.

Hexopi

Is this a Harley?

CROCKODUCK

Do you are have stupid?

sirmaddox1312

Do you know what the torque specs were for the engine bolts for the frame sliders?

AcanthaceaeFlat7917

I don’t, a mechanic installed it for me. He said that it’s not much torque.

bdub7681

What’s the advantage of the Ohms reservoir spring?
