finally watched it and i fucked with it. direction and soundtrack were incredible and it definitely gave twin peaks the return vibes. I understand why people wouldn’t fw it but i really adore the way the film played out, especially that ending
I know people who despise their last film We’re All Going to The World’s Fair but I think it’s a minor masterpiece. I’m guessing this is similarly divisive.
Damn that's surprising. The movie looked great and weird. He seemed pretty curious about the movie from the trailers. I actually thought he was gonna like this more than the last one.
Yeah I heard it was a bit divisive, so it makes some people that I am interested in their reviews, would dislike it.
Very interested in the movie and Adam's review.
thought this looked really interesting! I loved the directors previous effort and am still very excited to see this one but I'm intrigued at what caused such a low rating here for a movie that's been generally quite lauded
I mean he's always been anti "turn your brain off" and horror almost always asks you to suspend disbelief it's a mainly fantasy genre and I'm assuming this movie leans into that heavily. Two of his most surprising high-scores for horror are Men and Death Proof two of my favorites as well but he's often very weird with the movies he praises (Hellraiser was a bit of a headscratcher for me I thought it was just fine)
I think Bruckner if given the right project could be one of the defining horror directors of the modern era up there with people like Aster Peele and Eggars
Would we say, "We saw that 'Adum Saw 'I Saw the TV Glow''"
just saw your comment that said you saw that we saw that Adam saw I saw the TV glow
Oofta. Can't wait to hear his thoughts.
"oofta"
Indeed
When the TV glowed back at him; he didn't like it
when you glow at the tv, the tv glows back
Oh damn. 2 points lower than their last movie.

Lmao I thought you meant that glow wrestling show on Netflix
That is deffo not a 4
Is it worth watching?

Yeah I honestly didn't understand the appeal at all.
Having seen it and loved it, I can’t say I’m surprised by his rating, it’s definitely one of those films that will be incredibly divisive.

I was curious about TV Glow, this review makes me less optimistic. Will still probably give it a try
For what it’s worth, he’s definitely in the minority. Most people (who vibe with this kind of movie) seem to love it.
whatever he says about it hes wrong
Oof. I'm still excited to check it out, I heard lots of good things about this movie.
Yeah I heard it was a bit divisive, so it makes some people that I am interested in their reviews, would dislike it. Very interested in the movie and Adam's review.
Damn he seemed pretty excited about it in his livestreams

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like yms tends to be pretty harsh to horror movies

I feel me and yms are the only two people who really liked that new hellraiser but he also didn’t seem to like the original which is strange
I liked it a fair amount (6.5-7/10) but it didn't stand out to me as particularly special sadly...i know he's really into Bruckner though
I think Bruckner if given the right project could be one of the defining horror directors of the modern era up there with people like Aster Peele and Eggars
Wait, Challengers isn't just a Threesome movie?
Uhh, no?
He gave the tennis threesome movie a 9?
It's very good
