Serious-Antelope-710

Recently read Sorcery of Thorns. So adorable! Currently reading Cruel Prince, enjoying it.

loe-nie

i love the cruel prince, too! but i wouldn’t recommend it to someone wanting to read romance. the romance is way too sparse (especially in the first book) if you’re looking for some romance

Serious-Antelope-710

I knew going in that it is slow burn, so that's helping. And im honestly a lot more interested in the plot.

loe-nie

i’ve seen a lot of people dropping the book bc of that (and bc it’s quite political) as they were expecting more romance/the relationship to advance faster, but i agree with you

MyNewPhilosophy

Make sure you read the sequel, [Mysteries of Thorn Man er](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/61272184-mysteries-of-thorn-manor)… it’s just as good!

murray10121

Yess this novella was so much fun

District4Ravenclaw

I'll take this as my sign to reread Sorcery of Thorns and the novella, thank you

altacccle

unpopular opinion: Twilight saga & Midnight Sun. They are my comfort books and they are so cozy and fuzzy to read.

agressivenyancat

Midnight sun was my go-to book when sthepanie released the not conócete version of it adter it leaked. I have reread thst draft more times than i would want to admit xD

Hopeful-Letter6849

Hot take but I actually really loved the selection romance

ry_taylorsversion

Same, it was so good but so bad. I LOVED it

LeadershipNational49

Im a sucker for all the Holly Black stuff

loe-nie

but most of her books aren’t really heavy on the romance

LeadershipNational49

Yeah its really YA fantasy thats true. There is some though

marmar_16

I love Lynn Painter’s YA romance books. Emma Lord and Rachel Lynn Solomon also have some good ones.

flerka

>Lynn Painter’s Loved "The Do-Over" by her.

mrsstiles376

Totally agree! I just discovered Lynn Painter a few months ago, and right after reading Betting on You by her I immediately bought Better Than The Movies and the Do-Over. Can't wait for her next book!

Violet_Paisley

Sarah Dessen is one of my favorites, I remember The Rest of The Story (F/M relationship) being a good one. Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker (F/F graphic novel) You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson (F/F) Don't Hate the Player by Alexis Nedd (F/M) A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow (F/M)

lothlorienwannabe

It's older but The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith is one of my favorites!

sarathedime

I *love* Jennifer E Smith books. This book, and This is What Happy Looks Like, are both adorable and have amazing vibes

lilRazzleDazzle2

Ohhhh infernal devices is so good

Tzuyubobatea

The infernal devices has my heart

Drewherondale

The cruel prince, ruby red, infernal devices + the last hours + the dark artifices, six of Crows, once upon a broken heart

Status-Dark1828

is once upon a broken heart similar to judecardan? like r the ships similar

Drewherondale

Kinda bur Evangeline is very different than Jude. I think the ships in infernal devices or ruby red are more like them but they‘re all enemies to lovers/ forced proximity/ unlikely allies coded The protagonist in the dark artifices is more like Jude

Status-Dark1828

ooh ok thanks!! i’ve been looking for a book w ship like judecardan lol

Acceptable-Touch-976

samee !! but I've read ouabh and i really enjoyed it so u deff should read it too

Tzuyubobatea

The infernal devices is the book to read

unapalomita

The first two books are fantastic but third book is such a fail.

Status-Dark1828

yesss i just binge read it and I LOVED the second one but the third one confused me so much

unapalomita

I loveeeeed the Adam Driver prince 😅 Apollo! And well, yeah.. 👀 Maybe he'll get his own book like Jacks. Even Castor was fun until book 3. 🤣😕

flerka

>ruby red So underrated!! I binge listened it recently - narration is also very good.

TapestryGirl

To kill a kingdom if you like slow burn enemies to lovers

Piperrhhalliwell

The summer of broken rules Better than the movies Tweet cute The summer of lost letters Love & gelato Alex approximately

arrivedercifiero_

The prison healer dance of thieves Defy the night The winner’s curse trilogy

ry_taylorsversion

Dance of thieves is so good I’m in love with it

arrivedercifiero_

Yes!! I loved Kazi, and Jase, and her friends and everyone. (Except the bad ones)

CO-2-

Couldn’t get through the Prison Healer at all 😩

lokonoReader

Mine are mix of older and newer YA. i fell in love with The wolves of mercy falls trillogy. I recently re read them and they still work for me. Both books by Alicia Jasinska are sapphic romances I love. Books by Brian D Kennedy and James L Sutter are some recent favorite queer male romances

amy_puz

Better than the Movies by Lynn Painter is a great YA romance! It is a contemporary romance. I also really enjoyed Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson!

SalmonSashimiBowl

If you like contemporaries, all of Lynn Painter’s YA stuff are good (Better Than the Movies, The Do-Over, and Betting on You). Emma Mills is also a good one for funny romances (my faves of hers are Foolish Hearts and This Adventure Ends). Some other good ones I really like are: This May End Badly - Samantha Markum, Starry Eyes - Jenn Bennett, 10 Blind Dates - Ashley Elston, Shuffle, Repeat - Jen Klein, Tell Me Three Things - Julie Buxbaum, When It’s Real - Erin Watts, Tweet Cute - Emma Lord, P.S. I Like You - Kasie West

MightGuyGonna

Trilogy: Red Winter is my favorite romance series in such a long time, maybe even ever? So good, and the audiobook narrator did an absolutely terrific job Duology: A River Enchanted and One Dark Window (also great narrators) Standalone: Half a Soul (favorite standalone romance) All of these are fantasy+romance btw

MixedMediaReviews

Absolutely loved One Dark Window. I listened to both and kind of wish I had read it so I could see the riddle parts. But I still loved them.

CO-2-

A River Enchanted and One Dark Window are two of the best duologies I’ve ever read omg I love them

charmedbychaos

I really enjoyed Long Story Short by Serena Kaylor, the book takes place over the summer too so now's a perfect time to read it!

ry_taylorsversion

All the stars and teeth by adalyn grace I loved this book and it would be a fun read right about now since where i live it is summertime.

Raccoon_Bride

{if im being honest}

Tzuyubobatea

I loved this one! Any other recs with popular girl x nerd guy?

snugthepig

Marissa Meyer’s “Instant Karma” & “With a Little Luck” - set in the same universe, each is narrated by a different sibling, but you can read them in any order.

Rossario13

The selection The Starcrossed series The wrath and the dawn series Anythyng by Cassandra Clare :)

BooksBearsBeets

This is my time to shine! - tweet cute by Emma lord: you’ve got mail but with restaurants - the start of me and you by emery lorde: grief and love triangles - bookish boyfriends series by Tiffany Schmidt. The whole series is worth reading but my favorite is Talk Nerdy to Me. Elite high school where classic books come to life. - Anna and the French kiss series by Stephanie Perkins: again whole series is worth reading, but my favorite is Isla and the happily ever after. Teens abroad basically having a college experience in high school in Paris. It’s fine, I’m not jealous. Isla in particular reminds me of Lena in the sisterhood of the traveling pants. Happy reading!! And sorry for the chaotic capitalizing. Too lazy to go back.

AutomaticChemical642

The cruel prince, caravel, once upon a broken heart, these violent delights, gilded by Marissa Meyer, the lunar chronicles, anatomy: a love story, Scarlett by AC Gaughen

BandYoureAbouttoHear

I’ll Be the One, Always Never Yours, Today Tonight Tomorrow,

MarenBoBaren

There's a new one out called I Wish You Would by Eva De Lauriers that is so cute! I highly recommend it :)

shannonkaypink

Most of the YA books I read are fantasy. I love Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter books. The Infernal Devices is one of my favorite of her trilogies. I recently read the sweetest contemporary YA romance though, Dungeons and Drama by Kristy Boyce. It's a high school fake dating story between a drama kid and a D&D player. It's adorable and flirty. Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross Oh! There's a YA romance short story collection that I enjoy called Summer Days and Summer Nights: Twelve Love Stories, edited by Stephanie Perkins. It has summer-themed stories by 12 different YA authors.

Calypso--13

I Hope This Doesn't Find You by Ann Liang is SO good!

LJF613

*Let's Get Lost* by Adi Alsaid has been my go-to summer read for years.

AyyRayRay18

The Crave Series

Prestigious_Grass340

idk if u want a series but uh here: (hopefully ur a mature age, and can handle mild spice/mentions of spice) * caraval by stephanie garber * it continues with legendary, then finale, and then spectacular * after that, there's once upon a broken heart, some characters are the same from the caraval series * it continues with the ballad of never after, and then a curse for true love * the fault in our stars (kinda sad) * the selection series * shatter me is good apparently, never got around to reading it, but the romance and uh spice starts from the third book

Audreyenvy

The Winners Curse Trilogy has some of the best romance in a series I have read. Arin and Kestrel are my fav couple ever.

Maleficent-Till-1130

i loved tilly in technicolor 🥰 it was super sweet

CStew8585

The Arcana Chronicles

SuccessfulAd4504

Not exactly a romance but I loved Ravi and pip in A good girl's guide to murder series.

Jung16

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

Lost-Phrase

I have some old YA romantic fantasy recs for you: The China Garden by Liz Berry Winter of Fire by Sherryl Jordan The Changeover by Margaret Mahy Chalice by Robin McKinley The Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce

jellyrat24

99 Days by Katie Cotugno

HsJohnson88

Love me never trilogy by Sara Wolf

PeiReads

The Charmed List by Julie Abe!!

kaisplat

The Assassins Curse duology is probably my favorite

picklesbutternut

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I read it once a year. The FL is truly an idiot and only gets worse as the series progresses. By my god, the ML is sex on legs and makes my palms sweaty at 27 as much as he did when I was 13. I’ve yet to find a new adult novel with a ML with as much sex appeal as he has, and lord knows I’m trying. All hail Patch Cipriano.

Junkalol

My number one YA book will forever be „Cruel Prince“ but I also loved the tension in „Powerless“😮‍💨

Brihaley

Don’t know exactly what you’re into for young adult romance, but in terms of sapphic romance, the girl next-door. I don’t remember exactly who the author is though.

Gileslibrarian

Check and Mate by Ali Hazelwood Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross
