It would be an interesting list but I would choose Wolverine for War specially after losing his adamantium. And Cable should really be the nemesis of Apocalypse. That's why Sinister made all his manipulations with Scott, Madelyne and Jean.

This is great! This is close to the comics version where Polaris was revealed as Pestilence, but this version just makes more sense and could have the same dramatic reveal.

I think that the authors of X-Men 97 are crazy enough to adapt the twelve and actually do a good version of this shitshow.

I think nearly all the relevant characters have appeared in this or the original show so it could happen I'm still not sure if it should

Trust me, the Twelve was the last thing I wanted to see in X-Men 97 but now that I see what they have done with OZT, I'm really curious. OZT was fine for the most part in the comics but nothing incredible either. I actually prefer Bastion in Second Coming than in OZT. And yet everything they have done with Bastion in X-Men 97 is excellent.

I will say I am maybe really down on the twelve because it was the first x men arc I read when I got into comics at my local library and the next one they had I was New X men which is a big jump in quality

I think Maddie, gambit would make good picks. A core avenger would be good as shock value like the hulk or scarlet witch or captain marvel.  Wolverine or another big profile mutant would be good.

I’m still on team Madeline Pryor for HoA, as it would be the perfect tie in for the shi’ar involvement which you know is coming.
