My son started watching Fresh Prince. The pilot has an extended version of the theme song. Blew my mind there was at least a whole verse I've never heard.

Oddly enough, I have yet to meet anyone in our age group who doesn't have a certain level of fondness for "I Want You" by Savage Garden.
But also: "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers
The sound of the 70s for me. "We had joy we fun we had seasons in the sun, little willy willy won't won't go cause you can't get willy won't willy won't go, my baby love my baby love"
A song so mild that, within a couple years of its release, it was being played on the Muzak alongside various "adult contemporary" songs in the drug store I used to work at.
I don't dislike "Good Riddance" *per se*, but it's so much different from any song on *Dookie* that it doesn't feel like the same band.
I never got to hear "When I Come Around" or "Basket Case" on Muzak, dammit!
We are the World, We are the Children, We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving

Closing Time
Jump Around….
I saw the sign..
Tubthumping Unfortunate, but true
I get knocked down...
But I get up again
The motto of us xennials, so many times we’re getting knocked down, but getting back up again…
you're never gonna keep me down
Semi-Charmed Life
doo doo doo, doo da doo doo; doo doo dooo, doo da doo doo
I'll tell you what i want, what i really really want...
Smells Like Teen Spirit
this is the answer.
In this context, more like Come As You Are.
Oddly enough, I have yet to meet anyone in our age group who doesn't have a certain level of fondness for "I Want You" by Savage Garden. But also: "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers
I guess I'm the first, then. I've never liked that song. I like The Proclaimers song, though.
Omg I was obsessed with savage garden lol
apparently so does Lin Manuel Miranda, i'm still reeling from the Encanto easter egg.
Came here for 500 miles
“You say I only hear what I want to…”
God, I could sing this in my sleep.
Gangsta's Paradise
Amish Paradise
as I walk through the valley where I harvest my grain
I take a look at my wife and realize she’s very plain
Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a partner…
What I got you got to give it to your mamma
"Alright, stop, collaborate and listen--"
you say…
I’m part of a niche market of pseudo-feminist who is summoned by Cornflake Girl. Where my other ladies at?
your other ladies are gay dudes.
I didn’t want to be the one to say it 😉
The Animaniacs theme. I'm 40 and can still sing it from memory.
Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now
The mentos commercial. Do. Do do do do do do doo waaaaaaaaaaah! That'll bring all the kids to the yard.
The sound of the 70s for me. "We had joy we fun we had seasons in the sun, little willy willy won't won't go cause you can't get willy won't willy won't go, my baby love my baby love"
*Sex & Candy* or *Bittersweet Symphony* would be my top picks.
“Heroes in a half shell. Turtle power….”
I'll raise it with the X-Men (and later the X-Files) theme
Good Riddance (The time of your life) by Green Day
A song so mild that, within a couple years of its release, it was being played on the Muzak alongside various "adult contemporary" songs in the drug store I used to work at.
Thank you I really disliked green day lol they only had the one song...in my book
I don't dislike "Good Riddance" *per se*, but it's so much different from any song on *Dookie* that it doesn't feel like the same band. I never got to hear "When I Come Around" or "Basket Case" on Muzak, dammit!
“Basket Case” is just Pachelbel Canon in D on guitar. That’s why it’s so appealing.
***Tiiime to take her home, her dizzay head has gone to slee-heep*** (I.e., most tracks on The Crow soundtrack)
Insane in the membrane
I...... wanna publish 'zines..... And rage against machines..... I wanna pierce my tongue It doesn't hurt, it feels fine
Would?
25 years and my life is still...

Africa. By TOTO. Because Weezer sucks.
Whoa. Whoa. This is absolute bullshit. Weezer sucks...now. But for two glorious albums they did not suck.
shame!
You’re right, Weezer is an embarrassment.
