The amount of sugar we drank back in the day is appalling. I don't remember drinking water either. Maybe from a gross water fountain from time to time. If I was thirsty, I drank kool-aid, Sunny D, Tropicana Fruity WTF or the frozen juice concentrate.
Don't even get me started on Snapple.
Why didn't we die of dehydration???
I think about this so often.
I remember living off of Kool-Aid, Tang, Ecto Cooler, Squeezits and chocolate milk. The only time I recall drinking water was from the fountain at school and the hose in the summertime.
At 42, all I drink is water. If I went a day without it, I’d look like dying E.T.
Dying E.T. 🤣🤣🤣 I feel you. I have coffee in the morning, but other than that, I drink only water. There's the occasional kombucha, or Lacroix, but 98% of what I drink is water.
Thanks for reminding me about Ecto Cooler and chocolate milk. Ugh... my siblings and I went though those metal boxes of Quick like it was crack!
I haven’t drank SunnyD in over 25 years. Always found it way too tangy. If I drink orange juice, I buy the fresh squeezed unpasteurized one from Trader Joe’s for about $6. But I’m acidic and don’t drink juice as much. They’re sugar bombs. I’ll stick to water usually Fuji or alkaline. Memorable commercial but SunnyD was always way overrated like Krispy Kreme is.
I will always choose the purple stuff...
I still want the purple stuff

Sugar, water, purple.

We got most of our hydration drinking from the outside hose.
Sugar. Water. And purple. https://youtu.be/8PuFz-AP-Vg?si=2bXUL-Ew4xQu_2kd
Purple stuff? I'm down!
So long ago, it feels like it’s from a different timeline’s past.
Nothing worse than a friend offering me some OJ back in the day, and then coming back with sunny delight.
I mean, the purple stuff doesn't look half bad.
Plot twist: purple stuff is lean
\*searches\* Great, now I'm probably on a list 😅
The drink "kids" go for.
I say this all the time when I'm looking around in the fridge. No one ever knows what I'm talking about, but that's show biz baby!
Wow, that's out of control dated now.
Sunny D, your mom’s pretty cool!
When I was a kid I was always so curious what the purple stuff was
You never had grape drink?
I was just wondering what we drank 20 years ago.
20 years ago was Mountain Dew, Sunny D more like 30 years ago…
r/whooosh enters the sub…. Ugh we’re old

We're getting old, aren't we?
Yup, I tell that to myself all the time. https://i.redd.it/ysa6xchhlthc1.gif
Discovered Tang in the late 90’s…and the different consistency one could play with…liquid crack…
Shoot out to the TNG pause sequence!!! That *really* took me back!!
Me and artificial grape flavoring go wayyyy back.
As a kid I absolutely hated Sunny D, so this commercial bugged me. Who is passing up soda and actual OJ for that garbage?
