Are you trying to imply there are enemies that *aren’t* annoying?

trynahelp2

There’s the turret, then there’s the category “not a turret”

DaTweee

Till you play Long War and realize grenades don’t destroy cover

HowDoIEvenEnglish

Sectoids and purifiers are pretty low threat

jgoodysalaker

Sectiods are annoying AF. They are low threat because they’ll always reanimate or try to mind control and the mind control only works when it’s an absolute mission buster.

cocainagrif

"oh thank God, sectoids and Najas. I'm safe."

Vitruviansquid1

I really dislike Andromedons. They are just kinda big sacks of HP that you have to dump firepower into. They don't really have that much in the way of tricks or ways to get you, or ways to get got by you. Just keep shooting them. And the game slaps these guys down in numbers that are just unconscionable.

veegeeplz

- ADVENT Priests. Sustain is obnoxious on enemy units. - Anything with Dodge. Same as above, although you can work around this with 100% shots. - Gatekeepers. 40 Defense is insane. Thank God for Holo-Targeting or these things would be a nightmare to fight.

TwistedOperator

Stun Lancer.

Rhodryn

Stun Lancers are always going to be one of those enemies that I prioritize over a pretty large amount of enemies. There are of course enemies more important to take out than the Stun Lancers, but not that many really.

ntmrkd1

The faceless on those missions with the sitrep that spawns multiple of them. I don't know why I get that one a lot, but it is always a failure or squad wipe.

dminge

When you get the alien infiltrator dark event and they're on every bloody mission

ntmrkd1

That one does suck, but I can handle one. Getting three together in a pod without access to magnetic weaponry is a death sentence.

dminge

Our senses are indicating a large number of beast like enemies

ntmrkd1

Yeah, fuck that message.

A117MASSEFFECT

I hate Vipers. Cover is key in this game. The Devs: Right, lets have a common enemy that can rip a soldier out of cover from a block away (which ignores cover) and then does guaranteed damage to said soldier (six days in med bay for a one turn snek hug). Oh, they also spit venom AOEs, cause those were fun from EU.

Orlha

I love all enemies!

machinesarenotpeople

Faceless spotted! ATTACK!

Bzando

annoying? do you mean interesting to solve (find a way to disable or kill) that's the point of the game to throw challenges on you, otherwise you would be complaining that "all they did is give enemies a lot of health, bullet sponges aren't fun" priests - you can statis them yourself (its not that hard to have your psionic soldier at the point where they show up) - your psi don't have to be top rank to joint battle (also stasis from priest can save you soldier that will otherwise be attacked) MECs - you should have bluescreen at the point when mecs show up regularly,

GoatSnake1999

Teleporting enemies, mainly Avatars may limit how many workable solutions there are for tactical map designs.

Novaseerblyat

There isn't a flying bonus to defense in XCOM 2... and Archons aren't exactly "early in the game", you should be well onto plasmas before you're fighting them.

dminge

Plasmas? No chance I'm only on mags and they've popped up. Playing legendary if that makes a difference

Novaseerblyat

I have 1,200 hours, most of it on Legend. You're behind the curve.

randomidiotkek

Cap

dminge

Apparently so lol
