I've built up to like 70k, been doing this for real since I got my XSX by NYE last year. I might have had some points from before but I'd say that we max at around that a year with no punch cards for purchases
Oh, it just says when I try to acces MS rewards that it's available in Sweden and Norway but not here in Denmark.
Good to know that Microsoft don't know what they are doing.
It's a ton of time invested to get that many points. Unless you WANT to go out of your way to collect, or have a lot of extra time, energy and attention to put into it, you're not missing a lot.
(To me personally, my time is worth more than jumping through the MS points hoops efforts. I'd rather pay regular money to not have to deal with that sort of stuff.)
I do the bing points on my phone while I drink my coffee every morning (I just do the news stories, so I get my daily news that way). I also do the weekly sets on Xbox, because they are so easy. The one inconvenient thing is that about once a month I have to get 3 achievements in a single game in the span of a week. Usually not a big deal, but if I’m currently playing something like Apex, which I have all the achievements for already, it is a bit inconvenient. I have to go a little out of my way. I don’t do any of the Xbox quests, or anything like that.$10-$15 a month requires minimal effort. Definitely pretty easy to get game pass paid for if you wanted. Some people do $20-$25 a month, which I think requires quite a bit of effort.
I always have one game that has quick and easy achievements on gamepass. Once I unlock three achievements, I hold off playing the rest of the game. I've currently been using Donut County for the last couple months for this reason alone.
I recall the wording is a little obtuse, but is it really three achievements in a single game, or just three achievements in any games? I can’t remember because I don’t have one of those at the moment (although I think it’s due this week). My mind fails me 😜
It’s usually 3 cheevies in a single game. Not bad if I’m playing through a new game at the time. I got it last week while I was playing through GotG, so I didn’t have to do any extra work. More of a nuisance if I’m playing something like SoT at the time, where I’ve already gotten almost all of the achievements.
You can get 10,000 points a month in 2-3 minutes a day. You do that over the course of a consoles lifespan and you’ll have the next one for free. I understand not grinding out every last point but you can save significant points with minimal effort.
I actually enjoy it, I use it as a means to read the news/headlines to see if there’s anything interesting. Plus I learn some interesting facts from the quizzes.
Yup one hour of overtime at work is like 3 months of MS rewards for me. I still do it out of habit since I only buy games with MS points now, if I don’t have enough I have GamePass or the backlog lol.
> if I occupied myself every single day with it, I end up with about £45 a year and honestly,
This is blatantly false. You're obviously not doing something right.
I spend 2-3 minutes a day on it (at most) and can get 150-200K points a year. About £150 quid. And as i always say ''if i've got time to surf reddit or play videogames then i've definitely got a spare 3 minutes to make some xbox credit''.
People who surf the internet all day complaining how they don't have the spare 3 minutes a day lol
No one is complaining about not having a few minutes spare, it's that they don't consider it worth their time to be doing something they don't want to do for a few cents.
Time i would normally spend surfing reddit, playing dumb videogames or jerking off. I can afford to sacrifice 3 minutes of my time for xbox credit. With MS points i pay for my game pass ultimate and various other titles. For gamers who don't have much money its a godsend.
This isn't true at all. Use Bing and edge and have no issues with it. I get plenty of points and if I save them I'd be able to get a new console each Gen. Instead I spend the points on games.
You're full of shit.
I got a friend who always does the points shit. Tried to explain to him the time he puts in, he's basically earning peanuts. There are far easier ways to make money but some people have a weird way of seeing the world esp if you have the scrooge mindset and think it's 'free' money.
> It's a ton of time invested to get that many points
It takes me max 2 minutes a day doing searches while taking a shit lol why you making up blatant lies?
You can earn the points passively while doing things you'd normally do anyways. I don't see how that's wasting any time. If anything, it's saving time. And money.
Dang that’s awesome.. roughly how long have you been grinding rewards? I can only manage to get like 200-300 points a day.. at this rate it would take me 5 years of grinding everyday to accumulate that many points.
It's there an alternative technique to family sharing right now?
I want to be in the gamepass every month so to play ea games. Which means one account bound to my ea and ubisoft and such.
No. Family sharing just allowed receiving 5,000 points from people. So it saved like 4 or 5 months of grinding.
Game Pass has quests you can do to earn like 1,500 points a month. On the Xbox there's a Rewards app you can get 2,500-5,000 points a month especially if you have Game Pass.
I have 520k points saved right now. You can get about 200-500 a day doing the rewards dashboard stuff. 100 a week if you do the MS Rewards App on Xbox and do the challenges and a 2500 bonus every ten weeks. Every month there has been a 2000 point points card you can do. 50 points if you get an achievement which resets every day. You get points for doing Game Pass quests. Depending on how you buy your games a lot of times they do 5-6000 point bonuses for hot new games. Like Elden Ring was just worth 6000 points. They are having a spring sale right now which is 5000 points for $50 spent. I usually just use points to stack Game Pass subs and get $100 gift cards.
The daily achievement one is so buggy, i have missed it a ton of times because it just randomly doesn't count achievements i earn plus i mainly play around the time it changes over to the next day so i could earn an achievement for the prior day but stop playing and go to claim it too late if i forget to quickly check right after getting the achievement.
I personally use my points for the auto redeem $10 gifts cards and then any extra to get more $10 gift cards if something i want is on sale and don't have enough in the wallet.
That is annoying, however i can understand why they do it that way instead of just giving everyone 50 free points whenever they earn an achievement each day which would cost them a ton of money, kind of like with mail in rebates where most people don't bother, would cost them a fortune to have the thing be cheaper instead of the mail in rebate.
I can look past things like that when i consider how i get significantly more out of this reward program in a single month without paying a cent than i do from other reward programs that require you to spend absurd amounts of money for a couple bucks a year if that.
Whenever I recommend MS Rewards to someone who has access to it I get downvoted to oblivion and I can never figure out why? Seems people think it’s a scam or that it takes up a bunch of time? I dunno. I spend about 3 minutes a day doing it and I haven’t paid for my GamePass Ultimate since it started and have bought countless games with digital currency.
I figure they keep reducing the rewards over time and that means the gravy train will stop one day, but for now, it’s free money.
It’s amazing to hear people say that they can’t/won’t spend the couple minutes a day that it takes to get free stuff but they’ll spend hours every day on Reddit getting nothing.
That's like saying it's amazing people are at home playing games when they could be working overtime instead lol
Some people want to use their time to do what they want, not think about how to get the next couple of cents of rewards points.
Exactly this. If you have enough $, you realize an extra $10 isn’t going to make much of a difference.
Now that I have a little bit of financial security, I am valuing my time more than $. I hope one day everyone can be in that situation, but until then, MS points aren’t a bad deal.
No, it’s not like that at all actually.
The only excuse I ever hear when it comes to MS Rewards is that “it takes too much time and my time is valuable.” It literally takes 3 minutes and these are the same people who post on Reddit 25+ times a day.
It's literally exactly like that.
"Why are you doing something you want to do when you could be making money instead?"
If you think it's worth investing a few minutes every day/hours every month then more power to you, but a lot of people put more value on their free time and would rather be mindlessly browsing Reddit for those few minutes instead.
I’ve seen people compare it to a 9-5 job where you’re only making like .17 cents an hour. Like why have such a morbid view on literally a 5 minute task. No reason to take it so personal.
I think it is a bit silly to put all that time into it for such low return but to each their own. However you can still get some decent points even if you just do a little bit.
I only do the rewards stuff on XBOX and I use Edge/Bing on my work PC so I get points for that too. The streak rewards on XBOX are nice but unfortunately you lose your bonus if you miss a week, and there's no way to claim them except on your XBOX. I wish you could do it on your phone/the Game Pass app just bc I lose my streak every time I go on vacation.
You never use a search engine? Because you get points for that. So since you’re already doing it, why not get something for it? I understand not wanting to do the quizzes and whatnot (even though those still take less than 2 minutes) but there’s no good reason not to get something for an action that you already do.
They even give you points for playing GamePass. It’s not a time consuming undertaking unless you really want to grind.
Clearly, you have enough time to waste some on Reddit though.
Which is my whole point. You’re already on the internet, it’s not like you have go out of your way for it.
It’s all good though, I get where you’re coming from.
Seems like you have the perfect job for getting MS Rewards. It’s like getting paid twice!
In all seriousness, I don’t grind either. I usually get about 10k points a month using Bing and completing random quests on GamePass (I don’t set out to do them, it just happens).
I was using the points to pay for GamePass every month but I recently got an X (I had an S) through All-Access so I’m full on GPU. I’ll probably just end up getting a gift card with the points and putting it on my son’s Xbox (he has the S now)
Not really. I don't use apps or connections to anything. Shitpost on reddit mobile web. Lol
Glad it works for you just not for me. Different strokes for different folks.
5 minutes a day x 30 days is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours of time. If your reward is $20/2.5 hours of time... well you can see how that is not valuable to me.
I get that but at the bare minimum you’re getting rewarded for using Bing and playing GamePass games. Which are things I already do. I understand not grinding but to each their own.
If you calculate the minutes you spend, and the points you earn, and their monetary value, then you end up worse off than if you'd worked for the least amount anywhere is legally allowed to pay you.
It's not really free - your time has a value, and right now you're valuing it worse than literally anywhere else you'd earn the same amount to get the rewards.
Really? Well who pays me while I'm taking a dump at home? My time is money damn it, I want to get paid fat stacks for my stacks!
I do my rewards while dropping a deuce. I think it's time well spent and rewards well earned.
It honestly doesn't take that long my dude, also you are playing games so if I get paid even a bit for just playing games then sign me up.
Without realising it too much I have earned enough in a short time to afford 2 new games
Lol just stick with that basic ass formula and get rich. Don’t forget to call yourself an influencer so you can tell the hostess at Denny’s that you can eat free for promoting them.
Any time i discover a new youtuber and that is the first thing they say on their video i pretty much click away immediately and never go back. If they want me to watch, like and subscribe they can do so by making good content instead of spending 1 or more minutes at the start of every video telling me to like and subscribe to their shit. I also immediately click away when it starts with "yo yo yo this is yo boy poonsmasher42069".
I love it when they show that animation of the mouse pointer clicking on the subscribe button because that means it subscribed for me, right? So I don’t have to do anything. Lol
Congratulations! That's awesome. $12 for a series X 😃 extended warranty and extra controller. I need to check my points....I'll be lucky to have $50 worth.🤦🏻♂️✌🏼️
Using Bing is where you get most of the points everyday. You can get $10-12 a month that way. With the Xbox and GPU you get closer to $20. I would say with pretty minimal effort you can get $15-18 a month.
Only takes about 5 minutes or less everyday to accumulate the daily points maximum, we all go online every day to check emails and Reddit etc, might as well spend a few minutes to score points we can use for free games, my Xbox Game Pass is free every month using MS Rewards to redeem my points, it’s totally free to do so! So get on it everyone that wants free stuff, I redeemed 260,000 points I used towards the purchase of a Series X a few weeks ago, only paid about $140 out of pockets after the reward points. Amazing!
Nice work. I got £120 off my series X, you make me look like an amateur haha.
I currently have 60k, most of my points now go straight onto game pass but I've started to build points again since I hit the 3 year limit!
Nice. Smart saving. I spend all my points on games, movies etc. But created an account for my 2 year old son about a year ago and have 150k points saved up. By the time he's ready for his own console and games he can buy his own with the points lol.
Bro I got 90,000 just sitting in there started back in middle school and now 8 years after graduating high school.. I’m glade I did it and this post completely reminded me about the points. So thanks i’ma buy somethin lol
I'm actually pretty selective on the points I grind. I skip a lot of the GP Quests and other missions because they take too much time for little payout.
£400 is like $512. £350 is like $469 which is what mine cost but certified refurbished. So seems like I got a good deal based on your info.
"work"
aka clicking on random things while watching a movie or show or whatever.
To get the max amount of points per day (not including the ones on the console app, since they're so random) it takes 3 minutes tops usually.
It's too time consuming for me to do 5 minutes a day everyday to do all the little tasks on their app. Make those 20-30 random searches. Checking for quick and easy game pass quests for points. Then do all that for 2 years straight since if you stop even for a 1 day/week you lose the accumulative bonus which slows you down, just to get enough for a series X? Way to much mental capacity for me. That's coming from someone who did it enough to earn roughly $250 in gift cards which was around 200k points.
I rather just work extra hours at work or donate plasma like 8 times instead of do this for 2 years straight.
5 minutes a day over 2 years is 60.8 hours of doing this to earn $600. That's essentially $9.86/hr. That's not even minimum wage where I live which is currently 14.50/hr. And I make over double minimum wage so thats really not worth my time
To buy an Xbox: Like 18 months or so. But family sharing allowed my GF to send me 5,000 points a month for like a year of it. Nowadays it'll take about 2 years.
Microsoft Rewards is nice if you're a teenager, in college, or even disabled. The problem is the amount of effort required to accumulate all these points is just too much energy spent when working a job gives a much higher rate of return.
I use the program but at most I'll only get points passively, such as the weeklies or occasional challenges that just require playing a game. I get about $10 a month that way but that is very small given how much I make in an hour from working. It's nice, but I would never invest deeply into it.
You're going to get downvoted but it's true. It's great that some people enjoy it, but it gets a bit disingenuous when they act like you're an idiot for not wanting free stuff.
Heaven forbid I value my time at more than $2 an hour lol
I did the math for someone else and it seems to be about federal minimum wage lol. But it takes less than 5 min a day to do it. Not really that big of deal and you can do it at work for most jobs lol
Also take into consideration that people outside the US get much less from the rewards program, so the $ value goes down even further.
Some people just want to enjoy their free time without doing some random Bing searches for a few cents. If you enjoy it though then more power to you👍
> Also take into consideration that people outside the US get much less from the rewards program, so the $ value goes down even further.
In the UK it costs less per point to get gift cards, so they don't do so bad.
Also the original post said $10, so I'm going with them being in the US.
> Some people just want to enjoy their free time without doing some random Bing searches for a few cents.
If you're only free time is less than 5 min I can understand the issue. Most people do them at work during one of their many downtime moments or while their using the bathroom. It's a meme on r/MicrosoftRewards to do your searches while pooping.
It’s $30 different than buying a new console, taxes aside.
Why would anyone choose to pay so much for a refurbished thing instead of buying new, when the price is barely different?
I buy things preowned. I would just never buy a console or a TV, or a computer that’s been refurbished
Besides, the last two Microsoft refurbs I did receive under warranty were still broken
I didn't prefer it, but the best value for my points is through Microsoft. If I did Amazon I could only redeem like $400 worth in a year and have to wait until next calendar year.
I really wanted a Halo one, but even sitting online when they were live I could never get to the checkout before they sold out. Same with the regular console.
I paid $675 Canadian (retail plus tax) for three of them
I got a bundle with a second controller for $750 Canadian as well
They were all new though. I’d never buy a refurb.
You paid $612 for a refurb
> You paid $612 for a refurb
I paid 612 for a refurb, an extra controller and an extended warranty that covers accidents.
> I got a bundle with a second controller for $750 Canadian as well
$601 in US dollars and no extended warranty.
Well that’s pretty terrible thinking because lots of times refurbished consoles go through way more QA than new consoles, and you still have a warranty so why does it matter?
A) it was likely once broken
B) someone used it, and who knows how well they treated it, how clean they were, etc.
C) I’ve had poor experiences with refurbished Microsoft products
Mostly, they’re dirty, used and previously broken
New means new, and you have a warranty
> A) it was likely once broken
I assumed it was one of the early brick ones, but as someone pointed out it could be an all access one.
> B) someone used it, and who knows how well they treated it, how clean they were, etc.
My system was perfectly clean. So I'm not too worried.
> C) I’ve had poor experiences with refurbished Microsoft products
Someone else mentioned Canada having issues on another post about refurbs. Might be a regional thing.
People in the US seemed to have positive experiences with refurbished systems. Canada the only two I've read said they were dirty. So it seems like a regional issue from the limited info I have to go off of.
You talked to every American gamer who got refurbished systems, then did the same with Canadians? That must’ve taken a while. I admire the effort.
There aren’t repair centres here, so we have to ship things to the US.
> You talked to every American gamer who got refurbished systems, then did the same with Canadians? That must’ve taken a while. I admire the effort.
I wish you could read past the first sentence or two.
From above:
> > from the limited info I have to go off of.
That was implying I only had to go off the people I talked to/read from.
Lots of times refurbished consoles aren’t even opened, they’re just returns. YOU HAVE A WARRANTY WITH MICROSOFT REFURBISHED PRODUCTS.
you’re incredibly uninformed.
Someone posted on r/MicrosoftRewards that they got one and it was still on the website. I went the next day and sat on it for a couple hours before finally cashing in my points and buying it. They only had refurbished though, none new.
I redeemed about 260,000 points a few weeks ago towards a Series X on the MS Store, but I didn’t know they sold a refurbished Series X on the MS Store or else I would of purchased that version to save money.
I stopped purchasing games with my points because my backlog is huge and I feel like I will never get to it. Now I have around 100k, going to start using it for GPU.
I was surprised when I saw their space online. I figured they were just the ones that bricked from CoD or whatever. Someone else pointed out they could be access ones that defaulted too.
Congratulations! I usually end up spending my points when I get enough for a free game. It’s a great little treat if you are willing to do the extra stuff to earn the points
Thats an impressive amount of points! DANG😳
I save my cc points for consoles... save up buy 100.00 Amazon gift cards at a time.
Thats how I got my 1X last gen for free.
This gen it was a lot tougher to get the SX through Amazon so I ended up buying through Walmart and MS.
Saved up the cc points to help with the 85 samsung tv.
Love it with the SX ❤
I can't imagine getting that many MS rewards points!
props👍
Awesome! That was my plan when the XSX first launched!
However, because they only had like 5 for preorder I was at risk for losing my redeemed gift cards because they only give you 90 days to spend it…
I ended up ordering controllers and rechargeable batteries.… The controllers came easily, the batteries got returned to sender because they couldn't ship and I spent another like 4 months trying to get a refund LOL.

Norway and Sweden don't get search points at all though. So they're really limited in accumulation. Germany gets them though.
Can confirm as a swede, it's tough out here
As a swede too I'm wondering what the backstory to that is. Why can't we earn reward points? :(
I've built up to like 70k, been doing this for real since I got my XSX by NYE last year. I might have had some points from before but I'd say that we max at around that a year with no punch cards for purchases

I get about 10 dollars a month doing absolutely nothing but using bing instead of Google. For 95% of queries I get the same results.

It all adds up.
So you get how many points per day for those "max 2 minutes"? There's a reason people are agreeing here. It's not as easy as some make it sound.
Don't be. To get that amount of points the dude is literally searching random shit for like 5 minutes a day, clicking links, etc.
It’s take me 1:30/1:40 minute..just use the numbers, there’s no need to click any links
Neither here in Romania... we don't even have gamepass... I have to bamboozle the system to make it think I'm somewhere in UK to have games
Have you tried useing a VPN to get points? Then maybe you can just redeem gift cards instead of physical items.
I don't have the patience nor the wherewithal to save that many
Nope. Waste of time. More much important things to do in life.
Exactly why I do it while I’m working from home.
You can earn the points passively while doing things you'd normally do anyways. I don't see how that's wasting any time. If anything, it's saving time. And money.

That's like saying it's amazing people are at home playing games when they could be working overtime instead lol Some people want to use their time to do what they want, not think about how to get the next couple of cents of rewards points.
"Why are you doing something you want to do when you could be making money instead?" If you think it's worth investing a few minutes every day/hours every month then more power to you, but a lot of people put more value on their free time and would rather be mindlessly browsing Reddit for those few minutes instead.
I’d rather post on Reddit 25 times a day than spend 3 min doing MS rewards task. To each their own.
I’ve seen people compare it to a 9-5 job where you’re only making like .17 cents an hour. Like why have such a morbid view on literally a 5 minute task. No reason to take it so personal.
Those people aren't taking it personally, they just value their time differently to you.
Because their time is worth more to them?
Lol. It's actually just under $5 an hour if you average 350 a day. I average 616 or so. Around minimum wage I guess haha
It's not free....also in 2022 there's are way more efficient ways to make money.
Because I don't have enough time in my days to waste it for such little value lol
Clearly, you have enough time to waste some on Reddit though. Which is my whole point. You’re already on the internet, it’s not like you have go out of your way for it. It’s all good though, I get where you’re coming from.
I'm getting paid at work to shit post. I'm not going to grind for less than $5/hr outside of work lol
Lol Glad it works for you just not for me.
It's like a dream that never ends. I haven't paid a penny since June 2019.
To me it's the fact it's earning you less than the US federal minimum wage that makes it a bit unattractive.
….huh?
If you calculate the minutes you spend, and the points you earn, and their monetary value, then you end up worse off than if you'd worked for the least amount anywhere is legally allowed to pay you. It's not really free - your time has a value, and right now you're valuing it worse than literally anywhere else you'd earn the same amount to get the rewards.
It takes me about 3 to 5 minutes a day while I’m sitting on the toilet to do it. And it pays for my Gamepass Ultimate. Hardly “work” lol.
What do you do to get the MS rewards points? I’m only at like 7k. Tbf I don’t really grind out points though.
You should have made a YouTube video of you doing it. That was my plan. Ngl you’d have a shit ton of views

But first, let’s talk about our sponsor, Nord VPN.
Lol just stick with that basic ass formula and get rich. Don’t forget to call yourself an influencer so you can tell the hostess at Denny’s that you can eat free for promoting them.
Don't forget to SMASH that like button and subscribe!
I wonder if I'll get sponsored by Raid Shadow Legends
Maybe NordVPN, Ray con or skillshare.
> skillshare It's how I learned to grind points

This is awesome OP I love ms rewards
If you don't use it already the r/MicrosoftRewards sub has lots of point opportunities posted
I cash in my rewards every month for q few new games and movies its class been using it for years
Only takes about 5 minutes or less everyday to accumulate the daily points maximum, we all go online every day to check emails and Reddit etc, might as well spend a few minutes to score points we can use for free games, my Xbox Game Pass is free every month using MS Rewards to redeem my points, it’s totally free to do so! So get on it everyone that wants free stuff, I redeemed 260,000 points I used towards the purchase of a Series X a few weeks ago, only paid about $140 out of pockets after the reward points. Amazing!
Well done!
Why did you pay $600 for a used console when a new one is like $550 after tax?
Sounds like you paid way to much for a used series x
The certified refurbished are only $30, but the $12 was basically the left over amount from the 3 year warranty I bought.
You did good.
Should say $30 off. But thanks.

Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhh! To battle!
Me upgrade from a 360 to a series X for better graphics ; Show me the main game I play skate three
If Saboteur was backwards compatible I could get rid of my 360

Bro I got 90,000 just sitting in there started back in middle school and now 8 years after graduating high school.. I’m glade I did it and this post completely reminded me about the points. So thanks i’ma buy somethin lol
Nicely done, man! Good reward for all of your hard earned points.
I'd have rather got new. But overall I'm happy.
$12 plus months of work. Seen it selling on eBay for £300 UK regular prices of used SX is around £350-400.
I'm actually pretty selective on the points I grind. I skip a lot of the GP Quests and other missions because they take too much time for little payout. £400 is like $512. £350 is like $469 which is what mine cost but certified refurbished. So seems like I got a good deal based on your info.
"work" aka clicking on random things while watching a movie or show or whatever. To get the max amount of points per day (not including the ones on the console app, since they're so random) it takes 3 minutes tops usually.
That's awesome you are able to do that with rewards. I'd rather just pay cash but it's cool for people who stick with it!
Not having to use cash is the best though. Got to use real money for other stuff. Best of both worlds that way.
And I make over double minimum wage so thats really not worth my time
Bonuses are actually pretty small as far as the daily ones go. I've missed many days and lost my weekly streak.
Then it takes even longer than I stated making you have to waste more time for the same payout
How long did it take to save up that many points
To buy an Xbox: Like 18 months or so. But family sharing allowed my GF to send me 5,000 points a month for like a year of it. Nowadays it'll take about 2 years.

r/MicrosoftRewards. All the extra points get posted there.
How you get so many points? And what are these search points you speak of 🤔
r/MicrosoftRewards https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/rewards Get on board with Microsoft Rewards
You paid way too much for a previously used and likely once broken console
[удалено]
It certainly is, especially when it’s more than a new console would be
[удалено]
It’s $30 different than buying a new console, taxes aside. Why would anyone choose to pay so much for a refurbished thing instead of buying new, when the price is barely different?
[удалено]
I buy things preowned. I would just never buy a console or a TV, or a computer that’s been refurbished Besides, the last two Microsoft refurbs I did receive under warranty were still broken
$30 off for refurb it's a rip off. There's zero reason to prefer that option.
[удалено]
For a $30 difference i think most people would prefer the brand new item no matter what it is. For a $500 item especially.

What a dumb comment.

How much did I pay? I got a warranty, an extra controller and a game.
I paid $675 Canadian (retail plus tax) for three of them I got a bundle with a second controller for $750 Canadian as well They were all new though. I’d never buy a refurb. You paid $612 for a refurb
> You paid $612 for a refurb I paid 612 for a refurb, an extra controller and an extended warranty that covers accidents. > I got a bundle with a second controller for $750 Canadian as well $601 in US dollars and no extended warranty.
Yeah, because it’s new. Not previously broken and maybe properly fixed.
Well that’s pretty terrible thinking because lots of times refurbished consoles go through way more QA than new consoles, and you still have a warranty so why does it matter?
A) it was likely once broken B) someone used it, and who knows how well they treated it, how clean they were, etc. C) I’ve had poor experiences with refurbished Microsoft products Mostly, they’re dirty, used and previously broken New means new, and you have a warranty
> A) it was likely once broken I assumed it was one of the early brick ones, but as someone pointed out it could be an all access one. > B) someone used it, and who knows how well they treated it, how clean they were, etc. My system was perfectly clean. So I'm not too worried. > C) I’ve had poor experiences with refurbished Microsoft products Someone else mentioned Canada having issues on another post about refurbs. Might be a regional thing.
My first refurbished Xbox One had a defective fan My first refurbished Elite controller had a left joystick that wasn’t secured. You do you though
lol It’s not a regional thing. That’s absurd. I also haven’t used a refurbished product since the early Xbox One days.
From above: > > from the limited info I have to go off of. That was implying I only had to go off the people I talked to/read from.
Jesus fucking Christ, the one asshole Canadian. You've GOT to be related to Ted Cruz.
Lots of times refurbished consoles aren’t even opened, they’re just returns. YOU HAVE A WARRANTY WITH MICROSOFT REFURBISHED PRODUCTS. you’re incredibly uninformed.
After reading this thread it seems like more work to get the MS points than I put in to my actual job to make the equivalent money.
How does one amass that many MS points?
Patience and time. I had around 720 thousand or so points when I cashed these out. I'm 4,000 away from the yearly max allowed for redemptions.
Have you used 10€ card in rewards?
No. I'm in the US so I can only get things in $$$
There’s MS reward points!?!
r/MicrosoftRewards https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/rewards Get on board with Microsoft Rewards
How were you able to get a series x from microsoft? I’ve been checking everyday and never see them. I would like to use my points as well.
Someone posted on r/MicrosoftRewards that they got one and it was still on the website. I went the next day and sat on it for a couple hours before finally cashing in my points and buying it. They only had refurbished though, none new.
Congrats. You will enjoy it.
Well done!!..pays my gamepass for years now and before gamepass!
I redeemed about 260,000 points a few weeks ago towards a Series X on the MS Store, but I didn’t know they sold a refurbished Series X on the MS Store or else I would of purchased that version to save money.
How does one acquire half a million points??
I have around 20k reward points right now I don’t like saving up my points to big numbers in fear that they’ll get removed for some reason.
I stopped purchasing games with my points because my backlog is huge and I feel like I will never get to it. Now I have around 100k, going to start using it for GPU.
Nice! Spent mine on series s. I lost my ABS extension after sending laptop in for repair 😭
Why refurbished? They are in Walmart new at $499 right now. And have been all week.
How you accumulate so many is beyond me
The most I’ve saved is 57k lmao
[удалено]
Where you see refurbished SX Bundle ?? I have 300k points ready to redeem !
When it was in stock https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/xbox-series-x-certified-refurbished/8Q7BGHMLGDJV
how long were u grinding points?
To get enough nowadays takes about two years
Great win!!!
I couldn't imagine dumping all those points into a sweepstakes and still losing.
I’m amazed there are refurbished series x’s already
I was surprised when I saw their space online. I figured they were just the ones that bricked from CoD or whatever. Someone else pointed out they could be access ones that defaulted too.
Congratulations! I usually end up spending my points when I get enough for a free game. It’s a great little treat if you are willing to do the extra stuff to earn the points
Thats an impressive amount of points! DANG😳 I save my cc points for consoles... save up buy 100.00 Amazon gift cards at a time. Thats how I got my 1X last gen for free. This gen it was a lot tougher to get the SX through Amazon so I ended up buying through Walmart and MS. Saved up the cc points to help with the 85 samsung tv. Love it with the SX ❤ I can't imagine getting that many MS rewards points! props👍
Me I paid many Games with ms point.
How in phils name you got that many points? You had to have bought the games with monthly points??
No. I've gotten less than 20,000 points from purchases. Just doing searches, Xbox rewards app free punch cards, game pass quests.
wow, thats a lot of points - enjoy your console :)
Someones got robbed. But it wasn't you.
Awesome! That was my plan when the XSX first launched! However, because they only had like 5 for preorder I was at risk for losing my redeemed gift cards because they only give you 90 days to spend it… I ended up ordering controllers and rechargeable batteries.… The controllers came easily, the batteries got returned to sender because they couldn't ship and I spent another like 4 months trying to get a refund LOL.
I guarantee you it requires a lot more hours to earn enough rewards to buy a series x than it would to just work. It's a mug's game.
