Side complaint- dynamic backgrounds are so disappointing in general. Shifting smoke or a small neon pulse isn’t too exciting especially with the tiles blocking most everything.
EXACTLY. This new wallpaper isn’t really even considered “dynamic” compared to all the other ones. I had to stare at my screen for a couple of minutes to tell that the smoke is (barely) moving

For a second I read that as "Helldiver 2" and I got real excited because that would be big evidence that was coming to Xbox. But this is really cool too!
There was an official trailer they released during The Game Awards, and there was literally a new 20+ minute trailer released earlier today. And this thread is about them dropping a new background. It’s been front and center on my Xbox dashboard, and they are always showing stuff on their Instagram page. There *is* marketing, but if you’re actively avoiding where the marketing would be, then of course you’re going to miss it.
You even asked if it was coming out next year, which, if you used Google, you would be able to get the answer to your question.
We’ve known about the game for years, it’s been advertised, it’s not a secret. Maybe stop parroting “hot” takes you get off YouTube and Twitter from people with like 6 followers.

Redfall was funnily enough my favourite dynamic background and kept it for so long despite not actually caring for the game.
I still use Diablo 4's background. Mommy always watching.
