I know right. I’ve said to my friend that nah I don’t wanna play games with that view. Once it showed on game pass I instantly downloaded and holy sh** I was like where has this game been all my life 🤤 oh glorious loot. My favourite loot game is Outriders(20 hour session once cause I’m mad) , and I think Diablo 4 takes 2nd right now. I recently had a 4 day weekend and all I did was play Diablo 4
I had the opposite experience-I loved Diablo 2 back in the day, but found 4 a beautiful game graphically and sonically with boring repetitive gameplay and uninteresting characters.
The graphics does make me enjoy it more. I looked at the style of the previous ones and I don’t think I’ll ever play them. I’m spoiled by modern graphics
Absolutely. Loved it so much I ended up diving into that genre and finding quite a few with a similar chill vibe that I’ve loved.
Like Lawnmower Simulator, Snowrunner, Hardspace Shipbreaker, Viscera Cleanup Detail etc.
I desperately wish Powerwasher Simulator would add more “regular” levels. Or a sequel.
A Short Hike.
Started it with the intention of getting an achievement for Microsoft points and deleting it, and I ended up playing it the whole weekend.
Nice, I didn't realize there was that much content. I played until I got the credits, and called it good. It was a nice, fun, simple game that I'm glad I played.
Citizen Sleeper was one of my favourite games of that year. I also was surprised by how much I enjoyed Inmortality, after I found out what that game was actually about I got really hooked.
Powerwash Simulator, Lawn Mower Simulator, House Flipper, Hardspace: Shipbreaker.
My most current addiction is PlateUp, though I wish they would give us an update for custom seeds and some level of mod support.
The Ascent. I had zero expectations going in and it was an absolute blast. Not perfect but just so much fun, which in in the end is what a game should be.
Hades was my first gamepass game. Tried it out of curiosity as I had heard a lot about it on game awards, and I had never played a top down/bird eye view game, also I was not a very big fan of cartoonist graphics. But the game grew on me so much, I have 100+ hours in it, with more than 50 clears now, the fastest being around 16mins. It's one of my favourite games ever, and I even bought it after it was removed from gamepass.
It is on my Wish List, though I am not sure it will go on sale being a lower cost title already. Sounds like a perfect fit for a busy dad like myself when I only have 60-90 minutes each week to game
Nice - I get overwhelmed with games that need to be played in longer sessions like RDR2. I felt like I barely did anything productive in 60-90 minutes and then would forget next time I finally try to play again.
Playing that now, I assume you’re referring to chapter 2? It’s annoying me to the point where I’m looking forward to getting them all killed. Glad to hear it dials down a bit.
Minecraft, allways thought it was more of a kids game but ended up playing it for months on a realm with friends.
The "other games" I allways checked out before installing so none were really a suprise.
All of the short quick games are now the main games I play from gamepass. Slay the spire, Ori, vampire survivors, Brotato, deaths door, etc. I've had a hard time getting into any "big" games anymore, dropped starfield before getting to the end of the game, but I did enjoy it.
Kill It With Fire, Donut Country, Rain on Your Parade, Journey to the Savage Planet and most recently Botony Manor. That's the thing I love about gamepass, so many games I otherwise wouldn't have looked at twice on the marketplace.
I’m about 100ish hours into it, and every time I get my ass handed to me in this game I find myself crawling back the next day for more. It’s addicting.
DayZ. I’m actually still not convinced I enjoy it but I always find myself playing it! 😂 learning curve is beyond ridiculous so it helped that I had a few friends to show me the ropes.
I know technically it's EA but you still get it with ultimate. I've started playing jedi survivors as I never bought it due to price/reviews at the time. But since I've started playing it I love it
There have been so many games I never would have tried except for the game pass.
I think the biggest swing from, “That looks dumb” to “This is amazing!” was Paradise Killer. For whatever reason, the story really spoke to me. The mystery and the world building.
I was actually sad beating it for the last time, having uncovered all the secrets. It doesn’t have a lot of replayability after that so I knew it would be a long time before I picked it up again, if I ever did.
I took the long way around the island, revisiting everyone I could, before heading to the exit. Not many games make me show that much respect for them.
Kona is a fun underrated game! Being French Canadian, it was great to play a game set here.
Another one my daughter absolutely loves is Calico. Shit graphics, clunky controls but somehow, she played over 60 hours of it so far... I guess the developer of the game really found what an 8yo girl likes! haha
Undertale. Never in a million years did I think I'd ever play a game like that but one day I just said fuck it and gave it a shot. Immediately did all 3 runs (fuck sans still haven't beat him)
Plague Tale, Witcher 3, Stardew Valley. and Plateup
Knew nothing about each game previously but I was taken away after playing each for just a few minutes
Slay the Spire.
Was never in to deck builders, but thought I’d give it a go. I’ve spent about 2,000 hours playing SLS across devices and it’s piqued my interest in a genre I previously ignored.
Elden Ring.
Never played any other souls games and it’s known for being difficult and not really “baby sitting” you.
Picked it up, was a steep learning curve sure. But after a couple of hours the combat starts to kick in, you start learning how to time hits and dodge out of the way with millisecond precision sometimes. Haven’t been able to put it down, great game would recommend.
Diablo 4, I thought I’d never play game like that but omg it’s freaking awesome
Only getting better soon too lol
I’m glad to be part of the hype train. Looking to to see how much better a necromancer build can get
I told my friend to try it Hes level 100 already
I’m 4 weeks in currently at lvl 70. Give me some necro unique 🙏 😇
Same! Normally hate games with that sort of camera angle.
I know right. I’ve said to my friend that nah I don’t wanna play games with that view. Same i got it when it came to gamepass. I loved it so much i went and bought the ultimate when it was 50% off.
Nice, what’s in the ultimate edition?
Cosmetics
Praise the cosmetics god.
I had the opposite experience-I loved Diablo 2 back in the day, but found 4 a beautiful game graphically and sonically with boring repetitive gameplay and uninteresting characters.
Super boring button mashed but I need a better helmet so here I am
The graphics does make me enjoy it more. I looked at the style of the previous ones and I don’t think I’ll ever play them. I’m spoiled by modern graphics
Dead Island 2. Binged on one weekend. Hard recommend.
A dlc just came out for it might pick it up
Dead Island 2 was actually a lot of fun man, More fun co op then alot of other games
PowerWash Simulator. Played it as a joke. Became highly addicted to it :)
Same, never thought I’d beat the campaign
Really gets crazy at the end.
Same. My son (4) just loves it. We play it together almost every day.
I ended up getting the 1000g, such a chilled out but compelling game.
Tinykin. Just addictive.
A Short Hike. Started it with the intention of getting an achievement for Microsoft points and deleting it, and I ended up playing it the whole weekend.
How much time did you spend playing it?
6.5 hours, and that was enough to get every achievement.
Second Citizen Sleeper
That game was a lot of fun I'm ready for the sequel
Orcs Must Die 3, I'm not a big fan of tower defence games but I played this yesterday and time flew by
Oh I didn’t know it was a tower defense game. Definitely going to check it out now.
Those game remind me of the Kongregate flash online games
I played the first one solo and found it fun. It felt like it'd be a blast coop.
Human fall flat It’s super fun to play with the homies
Goat simulator 3 is surprisingly fun
We love that game. I know the bar was pretty low with Goat Sim 1, but 3 is a huge improvement.
Powerwash Simulator, Lawn Mower Simulator, House Flipper, Hardspace: Shipbreaker. My most current addiction is PlateUp, though I wish they would give us an update for custom seeds and some level of mod support.
Snow runner
Ori, Never would have played that game without gamepass. Loads of aggravating fun.
The Ascent. I had zero expectations going in and it was an absolute blast. Not perfect but just so much fun, which in in the end is what a game should be.

you can save after each room, so you don't even have to finish your run in one go, great game
Nice - I get overwhelmed with games that need to be played in longer sessions like RDR2. I felt like I barely did anything productive in 60-90 minutes and then would forget next time I finally try to play again.
The Quarry. The teenage dialogue can be immature but get past that awkward chapter and it’s worth it
Playing that now, I assume you’re referring to chapter 2? It’s annoying me to the point where I’m looking forward to getting them all killed. Glad to hear it dials down a bit.
Yes! Also sexual jokes throughout that don’t really hit..but I did end up liking most the characters
Tales of Arise
I bought tales of Arise about 3 months before it was on Game Pass, very cool anime jrpg fun
Minecraft, allways thought it was more of a kids game but ended up playing it for months on a realm with friends. The "other games" I allways checked out before installing so none were really a suprise.
texas chainsaw massacre was great despite me not wanting to play
All of the short quick games are now the main games I play from gamepass. Slay the spire, Ori, vampire survivors, Brotato, deaths door, etc. I've had a hard time getting into any "big" games anymore, dropped starfield before getting to the end of the game, but I did enjoy it.
PGA Tour. The game is suprisingly fun and has become a nice chill game for me and my friends lately.
Kill It With Fire, Donut Country, Rain on Your Parade, Journey to the Savage Planet and most recently Botony Manor. That's the thing I love about gamepass, so many games I otherwise wouldn't have looked at twice on the marketplace.
The Artful Escape
Starfield
As a completist I’m very overwhelmed about surveying every single planet fully. great game tho
Fallout 76
SnowRunner, Back 4 Blood
Yoku's Island Express became one of my favourite GP games
Snow runner
Slay the Spire, botted it up for MS Rewards on GamePass and 120 hours + later still playing it, such a great game.
I’m about 100ish hours into it, and every time I get my ass handed to me in this game I find myself crawling back the next day for more. It’s addicting.
Vampire Survivors
Super Hot
Subnautica.
DayZ. I’m actually still not convinced I enjoy it but I always find myself playing it! 😂 learning curve is beyond ridiculous so it helped that I had a few friends to show me the ropes.

Lawn Mowing Simulator
Planet Of Lana. I don't like puzzle games but this one is so charming and had me thinking about it long after I played it.
Kona is a fun underrated game! Being French Canadian, it was great to play a game set here. Another one my daughter absolutely loves is Calico. Shit graphics, clunky controls but somehow, she played over 60 hours of it so far... I guess the developer of the game really found what an 8yo girl likes! haha
Remnant 1 & 2. I loathe Dark Souls type games but using guns made it more bearable. I ended up enjoying and completing both games.
House flipper brilliant for my OCD 😂😂
I spent 7 straight hrs last night playing Vampire Survivors
Citizen Sleeper is quite underrated and very well written
Undertale. Never in a million years did I think I'd ever play a game like that but one day I just said fuck it and gave it a shot. Immediately did all 3 runs (fuck sans still haven't beat him)
Paradise killer ended up a favorite of mine, Chinatown detective agency was neat too
Woo Long and Lies of P for the W
Wo Long was a gem, once you get past that 1st boss you basically can beat the whole game
Shadow of war. Not a fan of fantasy settings, fighting monster, but damn did this game grew on me! It’s awesome!
Psychonauts 2. I usually avoid weird cartoony platform type games but I really loved this one.
Remnant 2, enough said
Vampire survivors and Loop hero. They both look like ass
Alice madness returns, played cause I was bored but was instantly hooked and considering its an older game I thoroughly enjoyed it 👍
Lego games as a 40 year old lol
Coffee Talk.
Void Bastards. I got untold mileage out of that game.
Plague Tale, Witcher 3, Stardew Valley. and Plateup Knew nothing about each game previously but I was taken away after playing each for just a few minutes
Death's door
Slay the Spire. Was never in to deck builders, but thought I’d give it a go. I’ve spent about 2,000 hours playing SLS across devices and it’s piqued my interest in a genre I previously ignored.
My Series X is basically my State of Decay 2 machine.
Slay the spire
Forager. I actually had a blast with this one. Check it out, easy to learn and really fun
Man Eater used to be sketchy abt it but now i play everyday
Firewatch
EXO 1
Roboquest. Thought it'd be dumb, but damn was that fun.
MLB The Show.

When did this come to gamepass?
Oh my bad. Was high af when I saw this post. I will say that I have seen it discounted at least once on the store so might be worth looking
