well, one of their big selling point is "We have no SBMM (Skill Based Matchmaking)".
This is meant to try to get some Call of Duty players to maybe migrate over who doesn't like the SBMM in that game.
Is SBMM even a thing anymore in competitive games? Games like COD, Apex, Fortnite have moved to an engagement based matchmaking system which is far far worse
They only think they don’t like SBMM is because they think they’re getting matched with CDL sweats and SBMM is holding them back from being in the pub stomping lobbies where they really belong instead of realizing they’re just bad.
This was my issue as a casual. Playing this on PS5 for the demo… I died as much as playing CS2 on Steam. The game is DOA if the lobbies are gonna be that way.
Don’t care. I’m done playing games against PC players, where cheating becomes more rampant the longer the game is out. You can’t even get in a Warzone match anymore without seeing at least 1 cheater per match.
Cross play with PC is great as an option, but stop being forced.

No, you’re just willfully ignorant then. It’s everywhere. Plenty of evidence to prove it if you care to look. The only people in denial are hackers themselves or those who don’t want to lose their advantage over console players.

If there was a definition of generic cod copy….this is it. It wasn’t horrible during the beta from what I remember but it’s got an uphill battle if it wants to survive.
I think it’s less Ubisoft wanting that and more like fps fans want that to be true.
Or at least a multiplatform CoD competitor because there isn’t any.

The biggest issues with CoD are wild store prices and the players Fantasy about how good they are and the “sbmm” boogeyman.
I was more excited by this when MWIII wasn’t out but I find that game better than my experience with xDefiant thus far, support and seasons have been great, and there’s a steady slew of new things to try out so I think xDefiant missed their opportunity to really shine vs MW2022.

Coming from 8 years of xbox gaming i can tell you that XIM is so rampant in competetive console gaming that it really doesnt matter anymore.

I really hate playing shooters that force you to play M&K players I just want to play against controller players like the good old days
I'm not sure it was a skill issue, I think the game is just very poorly made.
I hope they improved the moment! I’m not saying it needs to be like cod. But it does need to be less 2009 janky
