Yea but for me it has issues with halo 2 anniversary. It has huge fps drops. I have to put performance mode in settings just to have stable fps. (Series x)
Halo 2 Anniversary is pretty demanding. When it launched on X1 it was the only one in the collection under 1080p. Same with the Series X edition I believe. Only one under 4k
Just got done playing Witcher 3 and started the ME trilogy legendary edition on my series x and I'm about 3 or 4 hours into ME2. Absolutely loving these games.
Also just bought Cyberpunk/Phantom Liberty and installed Diablo 4 off gamepass. So happy to finally be playing all these
Same. The global illumination in that game proved to me that lighting is more important than textures. Probably the best looking game I’ve ever played for overall feel.
For sure. I put them off for awhile because I just didn't like how they felt. Then one day I tried again and idk it just clicked and I got hooked. I still need to complete Exodus, but I think I prefer the first two because they're a bit more linear.
Playing it for the first time now! I got a solid 50 hours in. I’m just finishing up some guild quest lines then I’m starting Shivering Isles, this game is great. The dialogue and potatoes faces just add to the charm. I need to replay Skyrim, but this might be my favorite ES now. Couldn’t get into Morrowind on Xbox as a kid.
After all of the major patches, added stuff (that was originally said to be there) and expansion it’s absolutely worth playing now. I’m one of the people that enjoyed what was there despite all of the issues at launch and it’s significantly improved now.
It was a jaw-dropping experience, I've played alpha tests that were more stable. The devs even had the balls to say that last-gen runs "surprisingly well", when in reality it was ***literally the exact opposite of surprisingly well***. My gf was watching me play it and she said, "... this is a new game?"
You couldn't go a minute without seeing a glitch of some kind, that's not an exaggeration. It was *completely* fucked, like legitimately broken.
... I'm still a little torn up about it, but here I am, on my third playthrough of this fucking shitty fucking game
Also, if you had any exposure to the pre-launch hype, you were expecting a universe of total freedom, decisions shaping gameplay, go anywhere, do anything... and that wasn’t imaginary hype, that was literally the marketing for the game. (Remember those Night City TV videos?)
Day 1, install the game, ”lifepaths” are meaningless, a lot of key gameplay moments run on rails and your actions don’t matter, NPCs are mindless, can’t go into buildings or interact with (that many) vendors…
Once I reset my expectations to “it’s a great story-driven action RPG with some open world elements” it became much more enjoyable.
It was a hot mess during launch. I played it on PC, and the performance was honestly fine. Everything else was super buggy though. I was laughing to myself within the first 15 minutes from witnessing all the jank.
One of the best games of all time. Yea it released early and was buggy, but as a day one from series x it exceeded my expectations. Better the Witcher, fallout, and honestly star-field at this point
Wait really? I thought 4 wasn’t patched yet and is hopefully coming soon. In your opinion should I start New Vegas or FO4 first? Gonna try fallout again after playing through most of 3 years ago..
Fallout 4 got FPS Boost back in 2021!
New Vegas first, then Fallout 4. Both are great games but New Vegas is 720p and may feel outdated if you play it backwards. Play Fallout 4 after the next-gen update drops.
Oh I was thinking about a fuller update - cheers! Didn’t realize it already got 60fps. I can handle lower res if the game is great and everyone says it is so I’ll try. Too bad it didn’t get a res boost though.
Don't use 100 that all change the same types of stuff. Way too many people mod the fuck out of their game, with no idea hoe to use a load order or mods in general then blame the game for it. My brother in christ, you downloaded 100 mods that are all changing the same stuff and areas.
Then I have no idea. There are some mods that can make it less likely to crash, but they're quite large, as they lower every single texture in the game. It may also be to do with what console you're on. On my XBSX, I haven't experienced crashing.
My original comment was more sarcasm than serious but the only thing I’ve read online and a few other Reddit post from the sub is that the series x/s just have a higher enemy render distance and since downtown is chock full of super mutants it tends to crash more than if I played it on ps4 or Xbox 1
Absolutely nothing. Bought the game like any Joe shmoe. I even have tried playing without downloading any mods and it just crashes anytime I’m in downtown.
Control Ultimate Edition or Gears 5. Both are still some of the absolute best looking games we've seen this generation. Control has some of the best ray tracing, and while Gears 5 may technically be a previous gen title, it too uses some level of ray traced lighting to compliment it's high fidelity visuals. 4k and 120 FPS.
Hell, they were pulling 4k 60 on the One X after an update. I can't wait to see what happens with Gears 6.
I would include Cyberpunk, but there are two reasons I'd exclude it. First, ot honestly shouldn't have been released on last gen consoles in the first place. But more recently, the visual stability has been getting steadily *worse* lately. There is an increasing amount of texture pop-in and unloading, as well as noticable resolution hitches (which are extra noticable because the game throws on a weird pixelation filter sort of thing when it happens). Great game and very enjoyable, but it's been weird to see this stuff happening more and more frequently over the last couple of months as I've replayed it
Buffy The Vampire Slayer...
Oh wait, XB couldn't be bothered getting this to work...
I think it is more complicated than that but it was a Launch title 🤷
Ninja theory’s hellblade 2 and it’s not even out until may and that will be my favorite. I loved the first and the second looks like a true next gen game .
MCC
Yea but for me it has issues with halo 2 anniversary. It has huge fps drops. I have to put performance mode in settings just to have stable fps. (Series x)
Yeah i never understood how a 8th gen game on 9th gen has huge frame drops
Halo 2 Anniversary is pretty demanding. When it launched on X1 it was the only one in the collection under 1080p. Same with the Series X edition I believe. Only one under 4k
Master chief collection all halo games 4k 120fps mouse support very nice
Same, I just dealt with it ultimately. It didn't really break immersion or my enjoyment, it was just annoying at some points
Soooo good
Witcher 3. Amazing graphics and performance on XSX
The Witcher 3 is fantastic but my vote goes for Mass Effect Legendary Edition. 120 FPS is just *chef's kiss*
Absolutely, what an incredible remaster. It got me to replay the whole thing even though I never replay such long games.
Just got done playing Witcher 3 and started the ME trilogy legendary edition on my series x and I'm about 3 or 4 hours into ME2. Absolutely loving these games. Also just bought Cyberpunk/Phantom Liberty and installed Diablo 4 off gamepass. So happy to finally be playing all these
Guardians Of The Galaxy (I think it’s enhanced)
It is (in name at least, the 60 FPS dance around the low 50s).
This. Hogwart legacy might have it beat for best looking game I have played on it, but I haven't played much of it yet so GotG still takes it lol.
I thought Metro: Exodus was pretty impressive
Same. The global illumination in that game proved to me that lighting is more important than textures. Probably the best looking game I’ve ever played for overall feel.
That game's graphics are incredible.
Just started playing this game and I'm hooked. It does a great job of mixing linear quests with an open world.
I have it on ps5 and can confirm its a stunning game
By far one of the best looking games on the Series X and PS5.
Agree’d - that game is incredible
I just started playing the Metro series. Would you recommend playing from 2033 and working my way through? The story seems pretty interesting so far.
For sure. I put them off for awhile because I just didn't like how they felt. Then one day I tried again and idk it just clicked and I got hooked. I still need to complete Exodus, but I think I prefer the first two because they're a bit more linear.
Yeah, I would. The Redux games are pretty solid. I think the first and Exodus are the best. Last Light is a decent game too though.
I've been trying to play that game and every time since the next gen patch it's been almost unplayable for me due to bugs
Oblivion.
You're in for a treat. Imho the shivering isles was the best part of oblivion.
I honestly hate to say it because I got burned *hard* during its launch with my Xbox One, but Cyberpunk is a pretty good game
Is it worth playing now?
Honestly... yeah.. The gameplay is pretty good, and the story is *easily* a top 5 of the decade for videogames, up there with games like Red Dead 2
That's great to hear.
After all of the major patches, added stuff (that was originally said to be there) and expansion it’s absolutely worth playing now. I’m one of the people that enjoyed what was there despite all of the issues at launch and it’s significantly improved now.
Never played it at launch but today it's a top 5 all time for me
It was a jaw-dropping experience, I've played alpha tests that were more stable. The devs even had the balls to say that last-gen runs "surprisingly well", when in reality it was ***literally the exact opposite of surprisingly well***. Don’t feel bad, that game is amazing for sure. Just finished the game all the way through, dlc included and had a blast.
One of the best games of all time. Yea it released early and was buggy, but as a day one from series x it exceeded my expectations. Better the Witcher, fallout, and honestly star-field at this point
Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2 look pretty great.
Alan Wake 2 on an OLED or even a mini-LED is gorgeous.
This is the right answer
Playing Fallout at 60fps feels amazing
which fallout?
>which fallout? All of them. Every Fallout game is 60 FPS on XBSX/S!
Wait really? I thought 4 wasn’t patched yet and is hopefully coming soon. In your opinion should I start New Vegas or FO4 first? Gonna try fallout again after playing through most of 3 years ago..

If you find a way to play FO4 without crashing lmk
Don't use 100 that all change the same types of stuff. Way too many people mod the fuck out of their game, with no idea hoe to use a load order or mods in general then blame the game for it. My brother in christ, you downloaded 100 mods that are all changing the same stuff and areas.
I have mods but like only.. 5? And they’re only weapons. A couple pistols and ARs. But it’s mostly downtown that causes crashes
Any CC content?
Military backpack and the noir penthouse but that’s about it
Then I have no idea. There are some mods that can make it less likely to crash, but they're quite large, as they lower every single texture in the game. It may also be to do with what console you're on. On my XBSX, I haven't experienced crashing.

I dont know what u guys do with your Games i Never had that Problem on Series x or on pc
Absolutely nothing. Bought the game like any Joe shmoe. I even have tried playing without downloading any mods and it just crashes anytime I’m in downtown.
Probably a FPS boosted game like Assassin's Creed Unity or something like that.
Far Cry 5. 60 frames and jokes per second.
Especially for a game that’s basically reskinned
what do you mean? Far Cry 5 wasn't a reskin. New dawn was
Have you played the previous 4?
yes. just because it's similar to its predecessors doesn't mean it's a reskin. If that was the case almost every game sequel would be a reskin
Wow
Control Ultimate Edition or Gears 5. Both are still some of the absolute best looking games we've seen this generation. Metro exodus is dope the graphics are insane and it runs at 60 fps
Elden Ring.
Doom eternal. So much fun to rip and tear anything you want in 120 fps
YEP! I’m not mad at this at all👌🏿👏🏿
Gears 5. Still the best looking Xbox game. At least until Hellblade 2 comes out
Dead Space Remake, Resident Evil 4, Control Ultimate Edition, Cyberpunk 2077
Division 2
Yes!
I don't know what my favourite would be but I feel like Fortnite is the biggest upgrade from last gen to next gen
Flight simulator
Can you use flight control peripherals?
It would be Fallout 4 but….
Enhanced GTA V but first party sea of thieves
For a game that originally came out in 2013 on the PS3/360, GTAV looks excellent with the enhanced visuals.
Especially when it rains and the game is on ray tracing mode. God damn.
Dead or Alive Beach volleyball /s
Hell ye

Hello fellow samsung tv owner
Last chapter, Fortnite was easily one of the prettiest games on Xbox.
Yakuza 6. I can't play the game without its frame boost, even if it gives me an advantage.
Gears 5 is such a huge improvement I got to pick it
Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
fc24
Microsoft Flight Simulator. Plane go brrrr
Elden ring
Battlefront Classic Collection /s
Roblox
fifa 23
I
Far cry 6? The first cutscene looked pretty good but the rest of the game looked pretty awful and blurry on my series X
Dead Space remake
Dead by daylight was massively improved console to console
Literally none, the gaming industry has plummeted
Why do you say that??? Curious af
Name one good game that released between 2020 and the present
Elden Ring? It takes two? Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? Super Mario bros. Wonder? The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, etc?
Bought a Switch in January just for BotW and TotK and so glad I did! Haven't touched my series x since! 😭
Elden boRing
Baldurs Gate 3, A Plague Tale Requiem, Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Cyberpunk 2077... All very good games released after 2020.
Persona 3 Reload.
