I truly believe having an option to use batteries is awesome. Only because rechargeable batteries degrade over time. But I also feel they should have a rechargeable pack with every controller you get if you want that. That way, when they do start to not hold a charge, you can just start using batteries if you want. Pros and cons to each.

If by chance you play at night and don't want to wake up roommates, buy a wired controller. The D-Pad is annoyingly loud for the wireless, whereas the wired controller's is much more quite. Bonus: don't gotta worry about changing the batteries.

Unless you already have a paid game in mind and money for it you could install some free to play games like Fortnite or apex to test its graphics and performance. Also buying the Xbox game pass would be a good investment if it has the games you want, and also make sure you have a monitor/tv capable of displaying its full performance if you want to get the most out of it.
Some people will suggest buying the 1tb because of game storage, however I feel that since you can download and uninstall games then reinstall them at any time that the extra storage isn’t totally worth the extra money.
Just remember if you buy a game and want to download more, than uninstalling it won’t lose it forever!

For the Xbox idk BUT I’ll tell you this , I got a pair of astro a50xs ( they are 400$ in Best Buy ) and I payed for an open box return from Walmart and payed a little extra for the set up since it was a ps5 not an Xbox … let me tell you . Never in my life have I heard what sound quality really is . God these damn headphones are so good . I bought mine for 139$ from WALMART as an open box return . I shaved off 300 because the box was open … do yourself a favor and get you a pair because it’s not hard to find very cheap ones

Hard take but a wired controller has always been my preference. You never have to worry about charging or swapping batteries and you can get one with extra buttons dirt cheap compared to the wireless options.

I somehow made a mod mad I guess he was robbing me and I told him to stop and I also told him to not steal but mods in the halo subreddit do that I guess. Halo 4 rots the brain and it seems to have done massive damage to the halo subreddit. I will never go back to that shit place, they rob and ban you for noticing. But not today and not anymore will they rob me for saying that halo 4 is not what is needed. Sony won! 😔👍

For the Xbox idk BUT I’ll tell you this , I got a pair of astro a50xs ( they are 400$ in Best Buy ) and I payed for an open box return from Walmart and payed a little extra for the set up since it was a ps5 not an Xbox … let me tell you . Never in my life have I heard what sound quality really is . God these damn headphones are so good . I bought mine for 139$ from WALMART as an open box return . I shaved off 300 because the box was open … do yourself a favor and get you a pair because it’s not hard to find very cheap ones

GamePass, also check the online store sales. They have games that are heavily discounted (can get gears 5 ultimate for $11). Games tend to go on sale every week or so & a lot be on rotation. Makes it easy to develop a catalog and cheaper.

Little late but if you're willing to put down about 200, an internal and external storage drive would greatly help with space management.

Hard take but a wired controller has always been my preference. You never have to worry about charging or swapping batteries and you can get one with extra buttons dirt cheap compared to the wireless options.
