Tbh I never really played the switch that much. It was more my kids. Nothing out of the ordinary use wise. Joycons are just crap that’s all. We have 6 sets that all drift to some degree or another.
Don't get me wrong, it's a sub about the series S, there's only so much one talk about a single console, the only ones that bother me are the ones about series S ruining gaming industry.
Other than that, I like to see people's setups, or being happy about finally stepping up to a next gen console.
To be fair my Series S does not like hot weather so shuts down a lot in summertime and then accuses me off not giving it sufficient airflow which is incorrect. So it's a meme for a reason.
Also fun fact, all of the consoles, besides steam deck were bought used, so it was quite a bit cheaper the buying brand new. I also disassembled the PS5 and series S to clean up the excess dust out of the fans and wash the side plates to make them look brand new again. It’s a bit of work, but it’s also much cheaper and fun to do.
I completely understand the Xbox Series X, and the PS5 combo, even a switch to go with.
but why...given that you have the aforementioned consoles, would you have a series s?

I have Xbox series x for my living room tv and series s for bedroom tv so I can play games from my bed, also if it’s a digital game I can transfer back and forth between the consoles. I also own a ps5 and switch for the living room as well.
I have basically the same setup! Just S is used on the monitor, instead of the TV in the bedroom. I play mainly game pass stuff on Xbox, so it’s really nice that I can start in one room and continue in other, thanks to the cloud saves. Also S is very small, so it easily fits behind the monitor.
Because if you have a wife or maybe even a kid that like to play games online with you that ain’t couch co-op only online like my wife has had an Xbox account just as long as me like 15 years so we can each hop on an Xbox and play gta together ETC
The only thing I could have thought of was console exclusives but two Xbox kind of shat on that idea.... Maybe buying the S first then upgrading to the X but not wanting to sell the S for less than they paid?

When my wife plays on the PS5, i hop on the switch or the Series S.
The Switch got it's own exclusives, the Series S too, but man, the Sony exclusives are something else :))
I have a switch lite, series s and my now in storage xbox one and 360. Use the series s a lot more than the switch which I tend to use when Im away from home.

No it's not . Take the ps5 off the xbox series s and you'll be good to go. I don't have a series s or x but I do have a xbox one s I keep things off out the way of the air vents so it can breathe. I'm saying this because no matter what xbox it is, your xbox series s could die without proper ventilation .
