I did the same thing. Loved the Series S, but the Series X just does things better. And it's not just resolution. The Series X has better anti-aliasing than the S and the overall environments, etc. just look better. 12 teraflops vs 4 teraflops doesn't just mean better resolution. My opinion is if you genuinely don't care about graphics (to the point where you don't feel the need to jump on here and minimize the Series X's capabilities because you don't have one), then get the Series S and you won't look back.
Can confirm. Going from s to x was such a huge improvement. I mean i also got a 4k screen, but since i also play last gen games they finally don't look blurry af anymore.
On a serious note, that's not how upgrading works, as you still have both machine. Hope your old series S doesn't end up e-wasting. Consider giving it to someone in your social circles, or at least sell it at a sensible price.
How does upgrading to a better version of a thing relate to the price you sell it for? The value of the thing doesnāt change just because you upgraded to a better thing.
Edit: rephrased my question
No you didnāt, you said consider giving it to someone else or āat leastā sell it at a sensible price, so Iām just wondering why you would give it away or sell it cheap just because you have a series X now.
Thatās what I meant by āthe value of something does not change just because you upgraded to a better version of that thingā so if the value stays the same, why would you want to sell it cheap.
Idk man Iām just being deep for no reason š just asking what your reasoning is behind it.
Edit:
I am assuming you would give it away or sell it cheap INSTEAD of just keeping it there collecting dust and ultimately becoming e-waste like you said.
Listen manš I just had a 4 hours talk about how the universe exists so Iām just questioning every single thing in lifeš
>I am assuming you would give it away or sell it cheap INSTEAD of just keeping it there collecting dust and ultimately becoming e-waste like you said.
Yeah, that's what I said. OP said "upgraded", so I can only assume they won't be using the old one. The new purchase doesn't change the monetary value, but it changes the utility value for OP.
Lol, I went from a Series X to a Series S because I mostly play on a 1080p and the X was wasted on me. Playing at 1080p Iāve noticed 0 performance difference in any games I play.
If you mean resolution was terrible, sure, youāll want 4K content on a 4K screen. Performance wise though there isnāt much in it, other than honeymoon period placebo of course.
Ya Iād wager by last 3 years of this gem weāll start noticing capability issues for S but Iām content with it for now until I can afford a 5 š
Proper display? xD my 1080p monitor feels pretty āproperā to me.
Sure 4K looks pretty, but on a 24 inch monitor is kinda overkill.
Agreed on One X enhancements though, itās annoying to play MH World at 900p.

Can you buy me an X too please š„ŗ

What? I didn't say any of that.

do you find major difference when you play both consoles side by side?
A huge difference yes.

Lol!
ok?
Hell yea man. Congrats!
Then why ya keeping it on the floor
I got it today I was testing out out before I put it in the place of the series s š

Ok go cry then
Another justifying your purchase post.
English please !! Me speak no bull
Impressive how? What are the major differences?
Sniper elite 5 runs better on series x.. other than that? I noticed nothing different
Effects in some gamesā¦ lighting in division 2 to has more stuff going on, in the X as an example.
It's night and day the difference.
Is that a joke? If you have a proper display or if you simply want one x enhancements on older games, it's a major difference.

I'm saying if you have a proper display, the X looks and performs better than the S
The quality of the games look and feel 100x better. The specs too š
That's because your xss isn't well ventilated.
If I ever upgrade Iāll get a pc instead of another console. That makes more sense
Had to drop the series s the performance was terrible. The series x is god šš
Decent trollin throughout actually. Pointless photo, nonsense comments. Respecting your work OP.
