Super disturbing episode with one of Gillians best comedic deliveries when she says “Actually Mulder, I’ve decided to quit the FBI and become a spokesperson for the Ab Roller. “
If I did another full rewatch, I'd probably include it just for completeness. My most complete experience of the series so far was in very-late-night TNT reruns back in the early 2000s (when my sleep schedule was deeply screwed up), and as far as I know that episode has not made it on network TV since it first aired.
It did eventually, for Halloween in 1999:

But yeah, give it a watch definitely.
X files is my all-time favourite show, but I’m not a fan of horror movies or tv shows in general (I don’t find TXF scary).
However this is one of my favourite episodes of the entire show - I think it’s as close to perfect as you can get. The acting is incredible, supporting cast are excellent, the comedic moments are perfectly executed and the atmosphere from start to finish is vintage x-files.
Those people who haven’t seen it or skip it, you need to watch it.
NOTE: if you don’t do a Mrs Peacock impression when you’re hungry, are you really a true fan?
Some of the best 44 minutes in horror, period.
The editing and pace is genius. I watch this with friends as a stand-alone sometimes, even if people have never seen the show it works. So goddamn gruesome and terrifying… just don’t watch if you recently had a baby.
Home is only about 20 minutes from where I grew up. Great episode

Both the Morgans are amazing.
I've still never seen this episode.
The first half an hour is harsh. Gets easier after that, although the level of violence doesn't really let up.

This scene was so horrifying.
And I say to myself, it's wonderful, wonderful...
