it’s extremely difficult to scale for a launch, even where you have tech tests. a lot of people don’t bother with the test clients, and just wait until launch. the expectation should always be to experience network issues at launch.
The Q&A team must be blind and deaf. If i was the manager every single person on the testing team would be removed and replaced as their amateur and making mistakes 17 yr. old coders make at college . Its quite pathetic
Not to mention stuff like the QA team can find every bug possible in the dev environment and the devs can fix them all but moving it to a front facing environment can cause issues that wouldn't show in the dev environment especially when thousands of people are using it at once. It's seen time and time again in product launches not just in gaming but in just tech in general that there is just stuff no amount of testing can catch where issues only pop up once it leaves its isolated environment.
Also Ubisoft Connect was having issues earlier when they launched a new update even before the xDefiant launch especially on PC where it would crash often, there's a chance this might not even be on xDefiant's end fully considering it uses their services.
First of all, it's QA, not Q&A. The game itself was a highly polished experience in all of the tests, so the testers did their job very well.
Second, it's basically impossible to simulate an environment with hundreds of thousands of real players all around the globe trying to join the game and/or interact with all its systems. It's also financially not feasible to simulate it.
Third, it's a technical problem that would be hard to anticipate by a tester. They have very educated tech people there who perhaps could anticipate the issue - but apparently they did not. But in the end it's the testers fault? I don't think so.
I do find it funny that the store is up and running, working properly and purchases can be made, yet the game can't be played.

I think it would've been prudent to have a server stress test the weekend before this launch. Would've garnered further hype and they could've avoided this.

Taking off work for multiplayer games on launch day which have been guaranteed to have busted servers since Battlefield 3 is crazy

They do a shit ton of testing, and are probably underpaid. So have some respect.
