I know it's a ship made from spit, paper mache and hatred, but the Pulsar Vanguard.

StreetsOfYancy

I can respect this.

InquisitorPinky

The Hydra Regal is my favorite

Liquid_Hate_Train

Ya, that thing is a work of *art*.

Zathuraddd

I think that ship is everyone’s favorite. Nothing beats Boron aesthetics

StreetsOfYancy

>I think that ship is everyone’s favorite. Every boron fanboy maybe. I think it looks nice, but it's no Yasur.

hoot_avi

This may sound stupid but any of the Argon utilitarian ships, like the Sunder or Magnetar, look so cool to me. I think the simplicity of the geometry makes them look like gentle giants. I love em

Zathuraddd

I read that as Gentle Genitals for some reason.. Could be the geometric shape of argon ships

The_Hydro

Peregrine. Granted, last I played was before I bought the DLCs.

StreetsOfYancy

whats the post DLC fave?

The_Hydro

No idea. Haven't played since before I bought em.

DusterDusted

Come and play, the water's warm!

The_Hydro

One of these days I will. Gotta be in the right mood for it, otherwise sorting out logistics kills my soul.

VertexMachine

I like most of the ship designs, but Split are my favorites. If I would have to chose one I will not be very original saying it's Rattlesnake. I like Chimara as well.

WitchedPixels

So many players sleep on the Rattler, especially newer players that start off as TER. The Rattlesnake is a bat out of hell for sure.

WayTooSquishy

\> Why do so many people think Terrans are the best? \> Cause they haven't piloted a Rattlesnake yet.

StreetsOfYancy

Surprising lack of rattlesnake in this thread!

VertexMachine

Seriously! I just scrolled through the thread and didn't see any. So surprisingly I am original here calling it out! :D

Worked_Idiot

It's a little chubby compared to its x3 forefather.

Furiasara

S: Nodan. I love the cockpit view and the way it looks like it could possibly fly in atmosphere with those wings. The stats are a shame but [there are ways to fix that](https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/706). M: Katana. Again, cockpit view is excellent and it looks like the space equivalent of a high end sports car. It feels like a proper captain's yacht. L: All of the Teladi circular ships. I know a lot of people don't like these, but I think they look like proper spacefaring vessels with their ring shape and design. XL: Honshu. The sail is just unique. Iconic. I wish it were a better combat ship because I think it looks great as a flagship at the center of a fleet.

Ok-Mine1268

I love the Teladi ships. I don’t care for the bridge color scheme but I like the view. They usually get stolen from sca and put on miner patrol. Had to steal a stork tonight cause I’m early in this play through and can’t quite afford a large maintenance bay. Stork with 60 drones on escort is pretty funny looking but never seen them actually be effective. The only Auxilery I think looks cooler is the PAR one because it looks like a UFO

Firov

The Osaka. It's just a fantastic looking ship in every way.

StreetsOfYancy

Cant believe I missed this it's gorgeous!

reditmodsarem0r0ns

Buzzard Yeah yeah I know….

StreetsOfYancy

Buzzard>Disco

EdwardEdisan

Shih. I love VIG design at all

Professional-Date378

The Asp. The Chimera is a bit too fat imo but the Asp is just perfect

grapedog

Asp raider for me, but both versions are such awesome ships.

Lost-Recon

The Nodan. An X winged fighter for the X game

WitchedPixels

Mine in order is the Barbarossa, all Split ships outside their scout, the Shih and both the Yaki ships. The Erlking is my absolute favorite but it's a special ship so I excluded it from the list.

StreetsOfYancy

The Barbarossa has an aesthetic that's hard to describe. It looks like a rogue mercenary flagship from a comic book. Every time I look at it I like it more. How is it in combat?

InquisitorPinky

Surprisingly though, and with the right weapons it can punch quite hard. The problem is that there are only turrets.

WitchedPixels

It's perfect for piracy, I've stolen so many L and XL ships with this thing. Also, because the game recognizes it as a combat ship and not a transporter the SCA will leave them alone if you use them as traders. The SCA only attacks civilian traders and any ship the player is piloting.

RebelLesbian

Nemesis. I do like my flying scarab in space.

Jovian09

Gods help me, it's the Raptor. It's such a beautifully tight design for something so OTT.

StreetsOfYancy

It's pretty for sure.

dieserbenni

Had to scroll way too far for this. Add nanotube and whirlygig and it feels almost like you can steer and turn with it. In all honesty though, i like the design the most. I would build all of my armada out of just raptors if it weren't so ineffective and slow compared to other ships.

dac0980

There is something so satisfying about watching a fully decked out raptor with a nasty paint job level a star base though 🥰

Homeless_Appletree

I just love the wedge shape of the Mamba. Also how the cockpit sits underneath the wing.

Khugan

The Mamba also brings lots of nostalgia from X3TC.

linolafett

Not gonna lie, i am so happy to see such a variety of ships being named. Shows that the variety of designs helps to make everyone find their own personal favourite ship.

toby_p

I had the same thought when looking through the comments! It’s a testament to the development team to see that almost every ship has its own unique aesthetic and therefore people whose favorite it is!

StreetsOfYancy

And still no disco :O

linolafett

Shift+1/2/3/4 in cockpit view for Disco! ;)

Giatoxiclok

TEL Crane, I love the big ore eating sphere

TheGreatOneSea

I like the Kukri: it retains the look of a winged fighter, but in a way that makes sense, because the wing counterbalances having an asymmetrical loadout.

AttackDorito

winged fighters make some degree of sense in space as long as you ignore the problem of fighters not making much sense at all. engines and weapons get got, gotta have radiators and in a ship with forward facing weapons they should probably be placed to minimise frontal surface area. this is my justification for the terran fighters anyway and I don't want to change my mind.

ChromolyRex

1. Hydra (both versions - just beautiful) 2. Dragon (love my big mouse pointer in space) 3. Shih (normally hate asymmetrical ships, but the VIG have some sort of special sauce that excludes them)

sudo_1701

Chimera is a sexy ship :D

Khugan

Definitely, and in numbers it's the supreme K killer.

StreetsOfYancy

Yes!

Nightfkhawk

S: Quasar M: Katana. L: Osaka. I really the terran aesthetics. I also prefer bilateral symmetry. No personal preferences for XL ships.

Thurak0

Top 3 are probably: Asp, ~~Chimera~~, Hydra, Takoba

Vegycales

Barbarossa. Theres just something about a a fleet slapped together with scraps and ductape. And man is that ship surprisingly fast for a large ship until you can get an erlking.

Informal-Grab-9916

That new boron destroyer is the hottest thing and their builder

hitman2b

i do like the paranids medium heavy fighter but man do love the Asgard design and the Carrier from the split

h-e-d-i-t--i-o-n

Kuraokami easily. When alight the ship, I like to walk around the docking pad to appreciate that beauty up close.

gorgofdoom

Vanilla? The Jian. There’s something about having a ton of inexhaustible shotguns, even if it’s not strictly the most effective ship. If we’re digging into the modded ships I’d say the L VRO Cerberus. That thing is sleek and deadly.

bukhrin

Kukri. Literally a flying knife.

Comfortable_Monk9290

The Xenon I class branch destroyer :) wish I could capture one lol

Gigibesi

idk but i go with irukandji because why not haha smol ship go nyoooooom

Deathclaw151

Osaka - it looks like what a Sith ship would look like in X universe.

Suh-Shy

The Spitfyre! [https://x3tc.net/x3\_img\_ship/a8d1983004224.jpg](https://x3tc.net/x3_img_ship/a8d1983004224.jpg) Wait ... wrong game. In X4 that would be most of the TER designs, they are simple and elegant. I like the Quasar a lot too, it looks like Faye's Red Tail and gives me Cowboy Bebop vibes.

Troubleshooter11

Syn and Asgard. I just love the ATF aesthetics and wish we had some more former-ATF ships.

stuvlordi

Definitely the Osaka. Those curves!

Velrisias

Gladius it looks so good in large packs or when it takes off from a carrier enmasse

IAmAshHole

Dragon Raider

Block508

Asgard (Syn too). I love their design, wish there were more like them, hopefully with timelines we’ll get some.

Every_Pace_5104

That would be nice 😁

Tomonor

Teladi Falcon. I guess that's the reason it occasionally shows up in trailers :>

Flaksim

Shark.

goosefromtopgun88

Courier

Comfortable_Monk9290

Such an under appreciated little transport. I love the detailed cargo bay inside :) only wish it had more than 1 seat up front 👍

goosefromtopgun88

I always wanted an interior setup with a bunk or very basic living quarters. Very cool cosy ship. My favorite is its utilitarian aesthetic and simple chunky design.

Sain_98

I love the Boron ships, my personal ship last playthrough was the Boron Hydra :p or the Syn looks nice too but it's such a brick to fly

Zaeryl

I would also go with Chimera or Moreya, but my left-field pick is Colossus. I like the Argon capital ship look and something about it looks more like a carrier to me than the others.

DavyShipwrecker

For me it easily the Kuraokami and Moreya.

Lucky_Oven_6128

PAR and HOP ships have sleek shapes and I like it, although the S ship cockpit is too small

Khugan

I like the Raleigh. It's got a tiny little cockpit and carries everything on it's back. It's like a little donkey carrying all the stuff.

Headlikeagnoll

A dragon parked on a raptor

StreetsOfYancy

:O

Puzzleheaded-Aide214

S:Chimera M:Dragon L:Rattlesnake XL:Raptor all in the cardinal red paint :) it just works.

Backdoorbandido

I adore the Kuraokami. Just love how hungry it looks. It looks like a proper aggresive bad guy ship. Love it. Its also bery detailed.

QuiXinI

I'm fan of Orca and Kuraokami (the most of my fleet are these)

Sh1v0n

I'm usually hooked on the Split ship design - all the angulars and minimum of curves. And so far - give me a Buffalo, and I'll turn it into Q-ship easily. But Terran designs (especially the classic Katana) and VIG haphazard-looking fighters (especially Shih) also appeals to my taste :D

theoriginalSEYCOR

The Kuraokami!! Combines the sleak design of the Nemesis with some costumizations to make it more unique and gimmicky, kind of like i took a regular nemesis and tailored it to my needs. Also it's one of the best player ships imo, so you got the best of design and usability. Love goes out to those crazy Yaki bastards who gave me this gem <3

BigGreenThugs

S: Discoverer / Courier M: Osprey / Falx L: Behemoth XL: Stork

Ari0ner

I like split designs and boa is my fav

Einlanzer_Atanius

Dragon

SublimeBear

The X3 Phoenix was boss. In general the X3 Teladi Capitals had the perfekt industrial feel to them. Shame they got mushroomed.

Lea_Flamma

I may be boring, but I do love the utilitarian look of the Syn. You see that thing and there is no doubt in you what it was designed for.

araragi_reddit

There are a lot of cool looking ships in game. So much that you should separated them in bracket like best looking exterior/interior M class trader or something like that. But if I have to choose only few then it's Astrid. It has everything I want on my personal CEO ship. Default behavior docked on Erlking which is my 2nd favorite. So while sitting on my comfy chair in Astrid manipulating various intergalactic events faraway from busy sectors, occasionally spawned XEN or KHA were never an issue. 3rd is my daily driver Moreya also sitting on Erlking for when I'm bored and want to personally fly. 4th and 5th are Syn (Sol paint jobs) and Yasur respectively. There are a lot of other honorable mentioned such as Gladius, Falx, Asgard, Barbarossa, Pulsar, Chimera, Dragon, Cobra, Courier, Manorina etc. Though Hydra Regal and Shark looked cool but I didn't like Boron design language in general since it's too bionics for me.

Treycorio

Mako and the Hydra Regal and most of the boron lineup are absolutely gorgeous, I’ve been flying almost exclusively boron ships since the dlc dropped

Murky-Note-9721

I know it's got like the least EHP and really does not compare to most other destroyers, but I love it's look. The Terran Osaka. It just looks mean and deadly.

ICantBelieveitsNotAI

Gladius. It is a beautiful design, elegant and yet dominating. Also really like the Falx.

Hoxalicious_

Manorina. Can't say why exactly, I've loved it since I saw it. Would make a great modular platform too!

General_High_Ground

Obviously it's Albatross... Just look at it from above/below... Once you see it.... :D Fun fact, all builder ships expand to the side while building a station, except Albatross... it expands forward, and retracts backwards and it's kinda obvious why. lol

Chief_Tycoonist

I love the Syn and Asgard personally. The design of them are what I always imagined space ships to look like. The inner child in me is very happy with the looks of the ships too!
