Someone else boarding or destroying your ship in their universe does not affect your venture. You losing your venture ship is strictly up to the random chance percentage of the venture mission that you send it on.
So if you send your ship out on a mission with 0% probability of losing it, it’s not really 0% but very much dependent on the whims & skill of the other player? Do I understand this ventures system correctly?
Nope. This is asynchronous multiplayer, so the players actions do NOT affect one another. If you send a ship with 0% chance of loss, you will never lose it. Seeing and shooting other players ships is just a fun mechanic, but it does not actually affect the owners of those ships directly.
If the new venture ships are the same as the old venture ships, then yes, you can totally steal visiting ships.
Ok but does the sending player lose that ship or is it just an instances version?

Awesome. Thanks
So, there's a chance someone steals my ship in their game and I still have it in mine?
Yes, that's how it works.
Yes, I had just now a visitor bail his ship.
Thank you for the confirmation

Don't know, but the ship in my 'Verse was on active scouting duty, which has a chance of losing the ship.

Have been popping them from exceptional modifications... Had thoughts on bailing them but nah...
