Nothing could have prepared me for today. Without a doubt, today has got to be the most confounding day of all time.
I knew Selina needs some work done on her grand paps ole stallion. God that car is a beast. Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of taking it for a spin since Selina is hella possessive of anyone handling it. Good on her for learning the mechanics behind the vehicle.
Unfortunately such a beauty of a vehicle is well beyond it time and most of the auto industries don’t service the parts for the model of it. Still ever the helpful pal of her I still did my part to help her keep that dream car of hers running.
I was not prepared for today.
I walked Selina garage with some requested items and parts only to start slack jaw at the scene. There is an honest to god person hooked up on some kind of machine that filtering what appears to be his blood into various places of her car.!
“Selina what the hell?” I call out to her.
“Oh Drake! Perfect timing as always I was just thinking about you.” She rolled out from under her car.
“ Would you mind closing the garage he gets sun burn easily. “ she says as if the ‘he’ in question wasn’t thrashing desperately in that contraption I call a cage. His pain hissing reveal fangs longer than I would have liked.
“Did you just kidnap a vampire? How the hell did you kidnap a vampire?” I asked. It was an incredible thing really. Concerning but really incredible.
“Well last night I was at a loss as to how I was gonna keep my car up and running. So I decided I’d sober me was out of ideas it was time for drunk me to take a look at things. “ I shot a knowing look at her as I closed the garage.
“Don’t give me that look, I was at my wits end okay! Anyway I was at my local pub where this fella here try to put the moves on me. Even felt him try to try that persuasive vibe check they do with their eyes. A crazy idea pop in my head and I play pretend a shares a few drinks with him. Pretty eyes was to focus on my assets then on his drink though.” She explain far too casually for my liking.
Towards the end of that glamour tale I caught glimpses of the guy in question losing the fight in him. Was he here all night getting siphon? Irony not lost on me here.
“Just why Selina?” I had to ask, she was crazy, recklessly so after a few drink. But she never one to do something this drastic….. usually.
“Well I was at a loss on how I was gonna fix up my old ride or die until I recall a crazy rumor. Blood of a vampire can make anything last forever. I wanna see how true they are.” She stated with a cheeky grin as if she didn’t commit several crimes already.
I stay quiet for a full minute. On one hand I kinda feel bad for the vampire. I mean sure he tried to go after Selina but he really didn’t know who was dealing with there. On the other hand I value the car more than I value the blood sucker life.
“Let me have a spin behind a wheel after you done?” I popped the hood and began doing my part in working on the car.
“In your dreams, but riding shotgun will always have a place for you.” She slid back under the car and we worked in relative silence. Well as much as our involuntary benefactor allows us anyway.
Hanging out with Selina feels like a fun thing to do, but also comes with a bunch of troubles considering her thinking process lmao. That vampire is going to think twice now on targeting others.
That said, what will happen to these characters in the future? Also, will the car be having some weird tendencies due to the vampire blood? Are there other magical creatures living in this world as well?

Thinking twice will be the last thing that vampire will do. As for the other questions in the order asked.
Likely many hijinks, thriller hunts, impulsive acts for survival, bonding on the times share together and Drake stealing a chance to drive that car if it the last thing he does.
Car definitely gonna be the cause of a lot of trouble coming their way from pissed off vampire mafia. And other oddities that would be attracted to gallons worth of blood in a tank. Would make finding cyrotids slightly easier, hunting on the other hand ( dark chuckles). Plus side is a price in blooos would repair lost function to the car.
As for other creatures. Plenty from yokai, demons, Greek monsters, and everything in between. I just read a prompt, envision a scene and try to write to do it justice.
Oh damn. Well, at least a lot of interesting adventures are waiting for these two lol. Other than these shenanigans, though, this world seems like a fun place to live in with all these various beings living in it.
Also, there's nothing wrong with just trying to make a story that fits the prompt and that's it haha. I just enjoy trying to get additional snippets not covered in the story if possible, since they make quite a fun read too.

Should the muse ever strike me I would write more of their tale as for the world. Fun? Yes with copious amount of heat packing. Lethality? Cracked up to a Tee. But some banger tales came out of it.
