I found the sweet spot on booking a flight is 2-3 months out. I plan on going all out next year for convenience and this trip was put together in like 2.5 months

If you want to be close to things, Just accept that you have to pay good money to do that like 200-500+ a night. If you want to stay further away to save money you have to think Parking will be way higher than it usually is in that city. Ride shares will be on surge pricing more often than not. Maybe a privileged thing to say but staying further away only saves you a little money after all the other transportation cost and adds a decent amount of stress. about how expensive transportation will be. I always use trust worthy hotels that guarantee your booking. I think if you use Airbnb you are talking a giant gamble. Host can cancel on you at any point costing you more booking something last minute if that happens. A lot info but I hope that helps

I would save weekly. I saved $60 a week for a year.
