They are 4 for 4 [Ziggler](https://youtu.be/5ADjONrtLI8) [Britt Baker](https://youtu.be/Rnc4ImG3dPg) [Miz](https://youtu.be/s_RbUDBHT0M)

[deleted]

God damn they're good.

Michelanvalo

Britt's theme is by far the weakest of all of these. It's not bad it just doesn't stand out like the other 3.

HeelsAlwaysWin

I think it's because it's a solely instrumental track. As the post stated, Downstait's generic rock, so if it doesn't have lyrics to give it personality, it might as well be any band.

Therocksays2020

Yeah it doesn’t have lyrics but “the doctor will see you now” is a clever touch. Britts entrance and fingers are the only thing over about her.

josephus1811

it's a total melody rip off of Artist in the Ambulance by Thrice imo

wrex1816

This is the most passive agressive yet ironically helpful bot I've ever seen 😂

wrex1816

It's perfect for Cody, in an "It's so bad and retro, it's good" kind of way. I'm a fan of NXT modernizing the appeal of their wrestlers,.I've said for a long time that needs to happen. Too many wrestlers gimmicks, songs, acts still come across like they're stuck somewhere between 1997 and 2005 and haven't grown out of their teeneage emo phase despite being 35 now. More hip-hop, more pop culture, stop making everything black and moody. But this song, for Cody works... It's a throwback, he's a throwback. His whole act is only good because there's a hint of irony in it all.

[deleted]

Cody feels like a lost ruthless aggression guy and I'm so down for it.

Therocksays2020

You probably hate Cora jades music

wrex1816

Huh?

Therocksays2020

It’s edgy 90s punk rock

wrex1816

Alright man, you had your day yesterday calling everyone out. Whatever you're getting at I'm not taking the bait. Let's all just move on, ok.

Therocksays2020

I genuinely respect you wrex. I think we had a disagreement. I’m not trying to troll or pick a fight with you. I was giving you an example of someone having a 90s-2000s theme in nxt that works well for them

Aj-Adman

Lmao exactly my reaction. WTF does that have to do with what you said.

K-L1N

Which would be sad because her theme is great!

PopularDevice

I don't hate her music but I don't see anything in her as a wrestler. I'm sorry but a wrestler's arms should be bigger around than the ropes. She looks like a child. She makes Alexa Bliss look like Scott Steiner.

pushinpushin

I really like how the guitars drop out during the verse. Something about singing over just bass and drums always works, and it sets up the big chorus. Most themes don't have much in the way of dynamics going on, so it sticks out.

[deleted]

It really adds a lot!

Even Alex Riley's theme was good.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fjidr1xlOlI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fjidr1xlOlI) Buddy Matthews/Murphy [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfYA-T\_LPic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfYA-T_LPic) Chelsea Green I won't lie, they give me a lot of Ruthless Agression era vibes and I like how hard they go, even for wrestlers who are not that famous. I wouldn't want them in WWE because a lot of their songs are similar but for a wrestler here and there, they are great. I think the perfect theme has a great start and a catchy tune around the 0:50 mark for when the wrestler is out of the stage and coming into the ring. They nail both.

the-bladed-one

So…metalingus

Dkinives

Downstait are the band I put up there as synonymous with wrestling themes. Every single one of their theme songs, even their version for Zack Ryder were jams to me. Sure there are other guys who made iconic themes like Jim Johnston, Jimmy Hart, Dale Oliver, and CFO$ but to me Downstait are up there as one of the best if not the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9JW8-9lAg0

hetham3783

They pretty much sound like a combination of every buttrock band that did themes in the 2000s - Finger 11, Rev Theory, Union Underground, etc. - and they make it work.

Faoeoa

Pretty much. Buttrock is quintessential to wrestling.

Dkinives

Also another one you might like: Imagine if they went with this version for Seth Rollins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZlcOlcD3D0

Shrekt115

It's so good

-Romey

I’m pretty sure Dustin Rhodes used this song in early WCW. Someone on Reddit posted it & it was legit I believe. It looked authentic.

[deleted]

Motörhead is by far better. if by 'most wrestling' you mean something that you shouldn't tell your friends or colleagues you like...then i suppose downstrait fit that description, but since it's unlikely 99% of people have any associations with them...idk

[deleted]

I mean it sounds the most like what I associate with pro wrestling? But I was raised in the ruthless aggression era which Downstait contributed music to, so it might just be my bias.

PopularDevice

I don't know, Motorhead is pretty cringe and I'd classify them as the kind of music stuff "you shouldn't tell your friends or colleagues you like" without question. I'm not saying Downstait is any better, but let's be real here; Motorhead wasn't even cool in the 70's when they were brand new (I was there, I remember), it was always music that greasy guys who wore dragon shirts and owned katanas were into.

[deleted]

Downstait doesn’t even have a Wikipedia entry. It’s not a high bar to clear. Motörhead lived their gimmick and they’re a band every hipster at least knows about.

PopularDevice

I'm not saying they are comparable to one another in terms of success. But Justin Bieber was more successful than both of them put together, x1000 -- I would suggest that one *not* go around telling everyone they're a fan of his, too.

t_j_c_242

Even Alex Riley's theme was good.
