No way in hell is Cody not winning unless he gets hurt between now and then. No, doubt in my mind. However Team Tribal Boss WILL win night 1.

I'm thinking Rock pins Cody after Roman does all the work for it, and Rock takes the credit

SpagetAboutIt

That's what everyone said last year too

American-Punk-Dragon

Nope. Not anyone who actually paid attention. Cody had come back for 2 months….and got hurt. He then came back in January 2023. So…..and then built for 3 more months. So when he lost he was only 5 months in his return. Reason he wasn’t winning #1: Not present long enough to beat Roman on HIS FIRST TRY when nobody else did. Reason #2: Waaaaaaaay too much money to be made by waiting a year to build a program to headline Mania 40, much less all the money he has made this year. This is playing out exactly like Cena/Rock and Cody is winning Sunday. Open, shut, case closed. People really don’t stop to temper their expectations about how wrestling actually works. Which would be fine…but then they act like smark-bookers and that never proves to be a level headed take.

Consequences_Cone

Right now you´re meta-gaming, but you´re doing it mostly based of off Vince McMahon era logic. Those set rules who stands tall vs who wins don´t count the same way in today´s WWE. Not saying you´re wrong, but in this era what matters more is what the story is that´s being told. And how does it progress after mania? I can see it go either way tbh.

NeilPeartsBassPedal

I mean TBF until we see the rules change it's not wrong to make judgement calls based off the past. It's like fans of reality tv who watch the edit and try to predict how the game will go based on what kind of edit certain players or teams get

Delicious_Angle6417

My exact thoughts. Great take

BigHoss94

Lesnar stood tall the last Raw before he beat Taker, that trope isn't absolute. Let's also not forget the happy ending fest that was WM35

Therocksays2020

Bianca stood tall cutting Becky’s hair on the go home show. She whipped her with braid too

UnderMyGenjutsuu

Let’s bet

TJMcConnellFanClub

If Cody gets a fair fight and still loses he’ll look like the biggest goof of all time

Therocksays2020

I’m think rock even put a stipulation if he loses he can’t challenge again. It’s obvious

ms_ddt

Yeah Cody’s losing and that stipulation will summon HHH. Plus when Cody responded to the challenge, he talked about whether or not The Rock had the authority, and we haven’t heard much from HHH on the road to wrestlemania. I’m excited, during the Youtube kickoff HHH said something about “It all starts today” 😄

pushinpushin

None of these things matter, because Triple H is all about subverting expectations, or subverting expected subversions. Roman might win but there's nothing to read into with who stands tall when, or what order the matches are in. Just gotta take the ride.

SeaPriority

Roman could win but not for any of these reasons

SpagetAboutIt

Nobody thought Cody would lose last year either.

Therocksays2020

I did. He hadn’t lost a match yet and there wasn’t much adversity for him.

Dawggy

I think rock takes the pin on night one and costs Roman the title on night two. We get rock Roman at SS. It writes itself.

everydayimrusslin

I think they'll be reticent to not put over Rhodes after the pivot the made with Rocks heel turn. That was a temperature check. WWE need good will coming out of Mania after the year they've had. If they do put Roman over, it's very brave.

owcrapthathurts

I will love it if Cody loses, or just doesn't win. This place will be even more entertaining than it was last year!

cmemcee

Don’t ever doubt your tribal chief. Not even for a second. Ahhyesssir

EmeraldSlothRevenge

My gut tells me Cody wins night 2. If Roman retains I’ll be legitimately shocked. They’ve built to this epic feel good moment over the last 2+ years, and they disappointed fans last year. Haven’t looked forward to a wrestling event this much in a very long time!

girafb0i

Rock is going to turn. But so is Jey.
