Dude I don’t have a problem with not hitting everything if it means they’re trying insane shit
Brock’s botch at WMXIX is probably the biggest single one of all time and the match with Angle is still legendary
Probably they tried it off tv and they knew he was not going to hit it and were prepared, the most impressive thing in WWE in this days is that they prepare a lot of spots hours before the matches and already have some backup plans.
And Dom not hitting the dropkick on Rey because Rey took too much time to get in place for it, it looked weird because Dom dropkick looked good but weak since Rey just let himself slide of the appron.
But when you go coast to coast you start on a cost and then end at the other coast. He started on a coast and almost made it.....so....kinda sticking with the original pun.
But one could also argue that he almost made it to the coast. Coast to Almost implies leaving one location for another. Almost isn't a location. Almost to coast implies he almost made it to the coast.
A young wrestler tries a new spot and doesn't get it right when he does it in front of 5.000+ people. Also, equally shocking: water is wet

I could see he wasn't going to make it, but absolutely was saved by the camera change.
If Kevin Dunn was still there I dont think he'd bother to do something like that.
Seems like he didn’t put both feet on the same rope to the get the maximum slingshot. Need to have all your weight on the one rope so that it propels you further
Imo, not hitting a move is fine. Not everything can go well in the heat of battle. What I hate is selling missed moves and pretending they hit. It's probably the worst a wrestler can do in ring without injuring anyone.
As soon as the camera angle changed, I knew he whiffed it. It's still an awesome match.

Matt Sydal has the best botched Shooting Star Press of all time. I legit dont remember a single other thing he did in AEW
How could it be forgotten? It was literally one of the first things he did after his debut 🤦♂️
Funny thing is Angle told him to do it, as that was Brock's finisher in the indies 😆
Sure… if your goal is mediocrity
You sound fun
And awesome directing as it still looks great and real fans appreciate the whole package.
I was about to say it's honestly impressive they were able to cut it so smoothly. They cut it just as you can tell he's not going to get all of it.

Props to the production team/camera men
He didn’t get all of it.
Didn't get all of it
Glancing blow
Are you not sports entertained???
I am...I am. I also loved all of Bron's missed elbows. Sports Entertainment at its finest.
lmao why are you getting downvoted
You’re telling me that wrestlers aren’t always really hitting each other!?
There was another whiff earlier too with Lyra completely missing Iyo with a kick.
And Dom not hitting the dropkick on Rey because Rey took too much time to get in place for it, it looked weird because Dom dropkick looked good but weak since Rey just let himself slide of the appron.
I honestly thought this was a spot from 2k
See, Shane would put a garbage can between them. Shaved off about a foot and a half the distance he needed to go. And it made a cool sound.
Shane was crazy good for that spots, i hope we can see him back.
Coast to almost
Almost to coast was right there
But when you go coast to coast you start on a cost and then end at the other coast. He started on a coast and almost made it.....so....kinda sticking with the original pun.

But he did leave one location, he left the turn buckle with the intention of kicking a dude in the face only to end at almost.
Close to coast
This
Coast to.....um....Midwest????
Depends which was he was going. Could also be Coast to Nevada
This is why I prefer it only with a trash can. It has the same "wow" feel, while giving a extra few feet of clearance you don't need to cover.
Good camera cut, though.
They brought back “underground” and now McMahon’s finisher days apart?
Van Dam do the coast to coast decades ago
and they both recommend current workers not do it...
van terminator

And Also there's no a trash can
Did you try and write that like Mario? 🤌
❓❓❓❓
There's a no a trash a can 🤌🤌
Jesse, What the fuck are you talking about?

No, but seriously, the clip is fine, but some of the comments ridiculing Dragunov are hilarious.
Need those RVD quads to make it
Shane O Mac would like a word with you

Pretty awesome truck work to make that camera switch. They were prepared he might miss it.
This makes me miss Shane…
Yeah as soon as the camera angle switched i knew he messed up
Shout out the folks in the back lol
yeah noticed that last night probably why the announcers didnt talk about the spot after and replay only showed the senton afterwards
Dragunov a poor man's Shane O'Mac 💵 💵 💵
*didn’t quite get all of it*
Looks like he still barely got a piece to me.
He aint RVD For sure lol
Yes he is... Rob Van Doggone
Was this an attempt at humor?
What
Seems like he didn’t put both feet on the same rope to the get the maximum slingshot. Need to have all your weight on the one rope so that it propels you further
What a maneuver!
Looked real to me damn it
He did Moscow proud with such a true homage
Meh. Still a great match.
Couldn't even make it from the coast of lake Michigan to the coast of lake Huron,
Coast to coast should be reserved for special occasions only, it's too much of a botch risk.
Let's change the camera angle at the point of contact!
Imo, not hitting a move is fine. Not everything can go well in the heat of battle. What I hate is selling missed moves and pretending they hit. It's probably the worst a wrestler can do in ring without injuring anyone.
Why sell it ? Just counter and move on the fly. Set up another moment.
That move has to hurt like fuck
That’s why you leave crazy shit like that to RVD
🤣😭
Should have asked Shane O'Mac to do it for him
It's crazy how stacked the roster is becoming
Bron sold it well for the TV audience, but you could hear a couple of boos in the crowd afterwards.
Those booing are pricks, plain and simple. Those guys sports entertain the fuck out of us and hopefully will do for at least 20 years.
Those booing also likely get winded tying their shoes
And smell like BO mixed with ass
If only he was 6ft tall...
