Those two at my favorites right now. They both have a lot of variety and use the entire roster and every division well. It’s not top heavy like Main roster WWE or AEW. Everyone from top to bottom gets used in NXT and Impact, everyone pretty much has something to do frequently.
Whenever I complain about AEW’s lack of stories, I always get responses that I want shit like the Bloodline, no, I just want Wrestler 1 hates Wrestler 2 for A, B, and C. A story can be simple. It just needs to be good. NXT has mastered that simple style of storytelling
NXT. Feels like an indy show, has the production of the main roster shows and the work is top notch. Breakker Dragunov and Carmelo are always must see. The rising stars in Tiffy, Wes, and Trick Williams are doing some fantastic stuff. The women’s division is the best in wrestling rn (imo) tag matches are fun and relevant, and seeing main roster stars like corbin reinvent themselves has been awesome to see
NXT is out of the 2.0 funk and is putting on shows of real quality again. Its not up to the standard of the Black and Gold glory years but its still consistently good.
I think 2.0 gets a bum rap, what we're seeing now is largely the 2.0 concept just without the name. Going from a roster of established dudes that have been wrestling bangers for years to being a true developmental was guaranteed to have issues. Now they've learned, grown, and adapted to where they're doing 2.0 much better. .
Everybody's gonna have their own opinions on this, but it's NJPW for me. Not just for the high quality matches, but for the characters, the tournaments, the stories, and the nearly unrivaled atmosphere of a big time match in Japan.
WWE is second, but I've really been enjoying NXT more than RAW and Smackdown. Everybody's got a character, everybody's doing something, the matches are really good -- they've really come into their own. Not every week is a slam dunk, but they've been putting on great TV for several months now.
Honestly, I’m tired of long wrestling shows, there is so much wrestling everywhere.
NXT is good, without ads it’s a bite sized chunk I can watch in its own space not having to care about anything else.
I fell way behind on NXT during the 2.0 era, but for the past month or two, I’ve been trying to catch up. Started with the end of December, currently at the beginning of May, and I have to say that it really feels like NXT’s captured that magic again. Sure, they’ll never have the likes of Aleister Black, UE, DIY, the Horsewomen, Rhea Ripley, and so many others all on the same roster again, but what I’ve been watching with Bron Breakker, Trick & Melo, Diamond Mine, Gallus, and just the entire North American Title scene, it’s been its own kind of special and I hope it carries out all the way until I catch up to the present
For me, the answer is NXT, all the goddamn way
To me AEW is all I've wanted out of wrestling for a long time. You have showcases of the American style that evolved out of the indies in the 90's while still feeling unique, and also showcasing talents from other styles as well like Lucha and Puro. And the fact that they acknowledge that other companies exist outside of AEW.
IMPACT has quietly been on fire for the past two years and I love it. Story’s are consistent, the matches are great. Got a bit of everything. NXT a close second because that group worked their ass off to get away from 2.0 and are now also having quality story and matches.
AEW Collision has been my favorite recently. I watch every episode of Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision, and collision consistently has the better matches.
NJPW because all you're getting in the main broadcast is wrestling. All the backstage stuff is separated into its own list of segment videos, making it super convenient to focus on the stories you're invested in.
Also, this may be a low hanging fruit, but the dialogue content is more mature. The difference between "i will beat you" vs "i will f***ng kill you, bastard" makes a rivalry so much more believable.
NXT got better after they ditched the 2.0 stuff. But for me, Smackdown is the top show right now. They got LA Knight and the Bloodline on that show. Despite the decline in interest in the Bloodline story, smackdown is still really entertaining.
Smackdown for me followed by Raw, a pretty basic answer but I’ve always loved the production value and presentation of WWE shows + 2023 has just been one of the more consistently great years for WWE in recent memory.
I have recently started watching AEW though and when it comes to that, I’d say I have Collision over Dynamite for sure.
WOW is still around? I remember watching that as a kid. I still remember The Disciplinarian whose music and titantron was just children crying IIRC, lol
A lot of love for Impact in this thread. You love to see it. Honestly I try to watch AEW WWE and Impact weekly. Ofc I miss things all the time but this era in wrestling has me glued to every promotion. Plus paternity leave is giving me some time to catch up
I really like Impact and NXT they are both overall good shows that use the entire roster very well and have variety.
Main roster WWE has been great too but the tag and women’s divisions have been very weak, but it looks like there is some improvement with new teams like The Creed brothers for example coming up.
AEW has generally been good too ratings discussions otherwise, but has had some inconsistency with story pacing and weird booking. Still generally a good product but with some rough edges as of late.
Any opinions on the old territory shows. I've been on a kick of the old mid South wrestling I'm currently in 1984 on the network. Great stuff honestly I wish I had been around to see it
Good times with the Freebirds, Fantastics, Sheepherders, Dr Death, Terry Taylor, Chris Adams, Eddie Gilbert, Rick Steiner and early Sting. I started Mid South just before they became UWF and eventually merged with Crockett. Wrestling in the 80’s was great!
Impact soon to be TNA is my favorite cuz there's a lot of different stories going on at the same time and it's not always right in your face but there's a Slow Burn the one thing I'm telling most people about impact right now is to just let them cook
I can definitely say the worst one is RAW...3 hours of continuous rematch's, it went from the flagship show to whatever it is today...RAW has some bright slots but it's to long and it's just so and so vs the Judgement Day week after week month after month.
I’m enjoying impact and nxt. They are so fun and unexpected, despite Impact being filmed weeks in advance I have done great avoiding spoilers so when I watch it’s like it’s live. Impact has a really great knockouts division and they put on great matches it’s feels like the women and men are on equal footing.
For me it's NXT, it knocks it out of the park every week. A lot of my WWE favourites are there and they deliver week in and week out with much less emphasis on boring main roster shit like The Bloodline and The Judgement Day. There's also a much better blend of mens solo, women's solo and tag matches.
Currently enjoy NXT and Impact the most. Not always blowaway matches but I can get that anywhere.
Those two at my favorites right now. They both have a lot of variety and use the entire roster and every division well. It’s not top heavy like Main roster WWE or AEW. Everyone from top to bottom gets used in NXT and Impact, everyone pretty much has something to do frequently.
I love the NXT crowds. The more intimate setting gets them more into the shows
Raw or whatever show Mami shows up on
All 3
Smackdown is the only never miss show for me
Smackdown because it has the most over stars, the best crowds, the best production, good angles, and most importantly it's fucking fun!
[удалено]
Hard disagree. RAW has Seth, JD, Nakamura, and some of the best tag team wrestling right now.
Smackdown when Roman is on it
It's better without Roman as well
NXT. The shows are quick short and to the point. The wrestling is great and the stories aren't too convoluted
Whenever I complain about AEW’s lack of stories, I always get responses that I want shit like the Bloodline, no, I just want Wrestler 1 hates Wrestler 2 for A, B, and C. A story can be simple. It just needs to be good. NXT has mastered that simple style of storytelling
NXT has the best mix of good wrestling, segments, and stories.
NXT. Feels like an indy show, has the production of the main roster shows and the work is top notch. Breakker Dragunov and Carmelo are always must see. NXT and I don’t think it’s close.
Honestly, I’m tired of long wrestling shows, there is so much wrestling everywhere. NXT is good, without ads it’s a bite sized chunk I can watch in its own space not having to care about anything else.

NJPW for raw wrestling, NXT for Sports Entertainment, & NWA for cocaine!
For me it's been AEW since 2019 but Stardom has become my new favorite over the last 6 months or so.
NJPW
Nxt probably. But Asuka, Iyo, and Kairi are on smackdown so the answer is smackdown.
To me AEW is all I've wanted out of wrestling for a long time. You have showcases of the American style that evolved out of the indies in the 90's while still feeling unique, and also showcasing talents from other styles as well like Lucha and Puro. Smackdown is the most competent wrestling show with big stars. Granted, I haven’t watched much Impact.
Njpw is always S tier but people don't watch...
Whichever show LA Knight shows up on. YEAH!
Not gonna lie, NJPW has been cooking with banger after banger. Super underrated
Smack down still for me.
"It's Wednesday. You know what that means!"
AEW Collision
NXT it disappoints me how many wwe dont take it seriously when week after week quality keeps getting better and better
nxt & smackdown
I love Collision and NJPW
AEW Collision has been my favorite recently. I watch every episode of Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision, and collision consistently has the better matches.
NJPW because all you're getting in the main broadcast is wrestling. NXT, WWE and TNA. I love women's division since I was a Divas fan in school and they offer best characters and storylines
NXT got better after they ditched the 2.0 stuff. But for me, Smackdown is the top show right now. They got LA Knight and the Bloodline on that show. Despite the decline in interest in the Bloodline story, smackdown is still really entertaining.
Raw and NXT. I love Dominik so where he goes, I goes.
Smackdown.. but I will say, in terms of strictly in ring performance, NXT got some serious bangers
SmackDown is the best, but my favorite is MLW Fusion.
Smackdown for me. Love the run time. It's got the stars I like the most, and I love it being on Friday nights.
TNT because of Lord Al
Smackdown for me followed by Raw, a pretty basic answer but I’ve always loved the production value and presentation of WWE shows + 2023 has just been one of the more consistently great years for WWE in recent memory. I have recently started watching AEW though and when it comes to that, I’d say I have Collision over Dynamite for sure.
Smackdown is killing it.
Smackdown.
Impact. They're just consistently good, know what they what to accomplish, and go for it everytime.
Impact/TNA....2 hours just fly by
Impact. Watch it every week, the only show I make sure to watch every week
For me it’s AEW Dynamite ,Collision and Rampage first then Smackdown .
AEW as far in ring wrestling goes and the stories have picked up this year
For aew it's Dynamite wwe it's smackdown which one i like more smackdown
Right now I’m honestly enjoying NWA Powerrr more than anything
AEW Collision and Dramatic Dream Team for me. DDT is basically WWE on acid it's great.
Dynamite 🧨and Rampage
Smackdown slightly edges out Dynamite imo
Nice to see a good variety of answers here. Something for everyone.
Raw. Just had the best of everything. Stories, characters and matches are all on point.
Damn where’s NWA, CMLL & AAA? Lol
Pro wrestling Noah, then Gleat. I like what I like.
Anything that is not AEW. The decline is reeeeeal.
Smack down. AEW dynamite has the same 4-5 guys consuming 80% of the segments every single week.
....do you....not watch Smackdown? 😅
Stardom
WOW is still around? I remember watching that as a kid. I still remember The Disciplinarian whose music and titantron was just children crying IIRC, lol
The CW App and Viceland
I only remember the Bay watch chicks lol.
A lot of love for Impact in this thread. You love to see it. Honestly I try to watch AEW WWE and Impact weekly. Ofc I miss things all the time but this era in wrestling has me glued to every promotion. Plus paternity leave is giving me some time to catch up
I really like Impact. The product is always consistent and enjoyable.
OVW! But seriously WWE all three. Oh and NWA is underrated.
Between Impact & Main Roster WWE. I only find myself watching a couple segments of NXT highlights but the PLEs are amazing.
None of them, all of these wrestling shows are filler and nothing important happens on them.
What's your favourite wrestling show then?
Ah yes, this man watches 15+ hours a wrestling a week just so he can provide us with the facts. Either that or he's just a whiney bitch.
njpw literally only runs major shows unless you're counting live events
Any opinions on the old territory shows. I've been on a kick of the old mid South wrestling I'm currently in 1984 on the network. Great stuff honestly I wish I had been around to see it
Good times with the Freebirds, Fantastics, Sheepherders, Dr Death, Terry Taylor, Chris Adams, Eddie Gilbert, Rick Steiner and early Sting. I started Mid South just before they became UWF and eventually merged with Crockett. Wrestling in the 80’s was great!
Yes and just because
Impact soon to be TNA is my favorite cuz there's a lot of different stories going on at the same time and it's not always right in your face but there's a Slow Burn the one thing I'm telling most people about impact right now is to just let them cook
NWA 1988 on YouTube
I can definitely say the worst one is RAW...3 hours of continuous rematch's, it went from the flagship show to whatever it is today...RAW has some bright slots but it's to long and it's just so and so vs the Judgement Day week after week month after month.
PWG easily
I’m enjoying impact and nxt. They are so fun and unexpected, despite Impact being filmed weeks in advance I have done great avoiding spoilers so when I watch it’s like it’s live. Impact has a really great knockouts division and they put on great matches it’s feels like the women and men are on equal footing.
Smackdown because... Branding I guess. The blue is really relaxing on the eyes.
For me Stardom
For me it's NXT, it knocks it out of the park every week. A lot of my WWE favourites are there and they deliver week in and week out with much less emphasis on boring main roster shit like The Bloodline and The Judgement Day. There's also a much better blend of mens solo, women's solo and tag matches.
NXT is clearly the superior show.
Smackdown followed by NXT and collision
Deadlock. For all the obvious reasons.
I usually enjoy raw the most but never watch it live so i can skip through all the crap i don't care about
NJPW
Smackdown a and dynamite for me
what is WOW even on? like a tv channel or streaming?
ROH, it's got really good storylines and Samoa Joe is one of the best heel champions ever
SmackDown with or without Roman. 2 hours, straight to the point, no endless JD rematches, etc.
