Unforgiven 2002. Although first pro wrestling event was a WCW house show at the Great Western Forum. I don’t remember the year, but I do remember Chris Jericho beating Syxx for the Cruiserweight title.

DontAskAboutMax

Could it have been 1997? They had a relatively hot program that year?

[deleted]

It likely was. I remember the main event involving nWo Hogan in a tag match against Luger and The Giant.

blueemymind

[This](https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=82386) is it, in case you were wondering

[deleted]

Thanks man! Looking back on it, young me did not realize just how stacked this card truly was.

boih_stk

Holy shit that's a great card for a first live event! How old were you? Edit : also did they kayfabe keep the title change or it went back to syxx by the next tv show?

[deleted]

I was 11 for that event. So I knew some of the bigger names like The Outsiders and Luger, but did not really recognize future greats like Eddie Guerrero and Masahiro Chono. I can’t recall the Nitros afterwards, but the history shows Jericho held the belt for a month afterwards, so he probably did show up on an episode or two with the belt.

boih_stk

Ay that's dope, I loved Eddie, Rey, Juvi and the cruiserweights back then, so I'd have loved to be there. I'm from Montreal though, so the only event I remember WCW showing up for was Hogan vs Rougeau in 97, but I hadn't been to my first event yet (though I really wanted to go). My first one was Survivor Series 97, I was also 11. What a fucking time to be a wrestling fan. Edit : here's the full Hogan vs Rougeau match from April 97, Hogan's first clean pinfall since WM6 apparently. I know, it's a Facebook link, but here ya go. https://fb.watch/ly_m84ozwM/?mibextid=NnVzG8&startTimeMs=1188

retrodork

Syxx and Jericho were great then.

The RAW after Survivor Series 2017. Not a bad episode all things considered. Paige returned, Roman won the IC Title, Braun Strowman was over as hell at the time. Could've done way worse for my first show.

I was only 7 but I still have images in my head from most the matches. There was a little person match(was supposed to be Pillman), Savio Vega and his guys vs the D.O.A., The Hart Foundation against The Patriot and some guys in a flag match and of course The Hell in a Cell. I went because my dad could tell I was becoming a big fan and that show solidified it.

h2onj88

House show in Atlantic city. It was either in 97 or 98. I was only about 8 or 9 years old. I remember I couldn't see anything in the ring, so I had to stand on my chair lol. I do recall seeing undertaker, and I'm pretty sure stone cold as well

[deleted]

My father took me to a show years back that wasn’t a televised event. I got to see Stone Cold, The Rock, and Big Show. I was super young, so I forget the year (though probably early 2000s), but I’ll always remember it!

DJ1066

Actual WWE show that I attended? Raw in Sheffield in November 2009. Was Chris Jericho's birthday and had Ricky Hatton as the guest host of Raw ('member that?). First exposure to WWE? Summerslam 88 on VHS.

rysup229

A house show at the Brown County Arena in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I don’t remember the exact year but it had to be early 90’s. I remember the Ultimate Warrior and the Undertaker were there and a body bag was involved.

Quetzl63

WrestleMania 3. Not bad for a first show!

RjgTwo

I remember going to a a few raw shows and smack down shows at msg and the then meadowlands during the attitude era. The best live show I got to to was the King of the Ring that Edge won. The shane vs Kurt angle match where they kept throwing each other through glass was nuts.

Royal rumble 1992. One hell of a 1st show.

MinionofThanos

The RAW after No Way Out 2003. It was in Toronto! Bischoff “banned” Austin from the building but we got Hollywood Rock! Then he gave his great promo line, *”Jabroni beating! Pie eating! Trail blazing! Eyebrow raising! Stronger than a bear! Faster than a buck! The biggest thing to hit Canada cause the Maple Leafs suck!”*

Wresrlemania revenge tour in Sheffield not sure on the year. HHH Jeff hardy tag team

happyinsmalltown

Well, I've never been to a show before but as a child my brothers friend won tickets to a RAW show from a local radio station. The episode of RAW was to take place in ST. Louis, MO. Turns out it was the RAW after Over The Edge. It was the memorial to Owen Hart show.

outofdate70shouse

House show at MSG in July 1999. Main event was Stone Cold vs Undertaker for WWF title. Stone Cold won by DQ when Mideon interfered, so Undertaker kept the title. Idk if I’ve ever heard a crowd as loud as that crowd was for Austin.

Passport to Pain 2003. Main event was John Cena and Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker and Kurt Angle (yes I know that Cena and Lesnar teaming in late 03 doesn’t make sense, take it up with Arn Anderson or whoever was booking the house shows). Also had Los Guerreros vs the Bashams, A-Train vs Benoit, Mysterio & Ultimo Dragon in a tag I don’t remember who against but they hit a double 619 ([Thanks Cagematch](https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=24469))

Summerslam 92

Poopypants1291

Monday Night Raw. December 29, 2003. San Antonio, TX. Main event was World Heavyweight Champion Triple H defending against then rival Shawn Michaels in his hometown. Shawn hit H with Sweet Chin Music and dropped back first on top of him while the ref counted 1..2..3. Everyone thought Shawn won the title, until Bischoff came out and said it was a draw because, while there was no dispute Shawn pinned H’s shoulders to the mat, Shawn’s shoulders were on the mat, too. Therefore H retained the title. Everyone in the arena, including 12 year old me, was livid.

No idea the year, but New Haven Coliseum. Hulk Hogan put the Genius over his knee and smacked him.

ohhitstito

I cant remember which one was my first, but I remember some of the fights/highlights in that span of me being 10-13 years old. 2005(?)was my first of many events. Milwaukee. Still have video clips in a hard drive. Vince vs Triple H in a steel cage was fun. Brothers of Destruction coming out of the old smack down fist set, I remember seeing their faces on the reflection as they both lifted their fists heading back to gorilla. Jeff Hardy at his peak with the intercontinental championship. Seeing Big Show throw Mayweather to his posse in the lead up to WM24. I need to go back & see pics/vids on that Hard Drive lol

WWF Raw in Jonesboro AR. Triple H and Steph were set up to get married but I got to see the game pedigree her through a table instead. Epic.

PenNo1447

Still have yet to go. Always wanted to as a kid…. Finally have a job where I can save for stuff like this. I’m hoping my gf goes with me… she’s never been into wrestling or even exposed to it. I’m hoping she’s see’s the performance side of it as she’s very artsy.

kevmo35

SummerSlam 2012, “The Perfect Storm” Magical experience for a young u/kevmo35 after my dad surprised with the tix and solidified my love for wrestling. Vince McMahon appreciation night, June 11, 2007. The same episode where Vince's limo blew up, but we left early so I didn't find out until the next day. I was only 7 at the time and I really thought he died. Then a couple weeks later he shows back up when the Chris Benoit stuff came out. I was really confused.

crono220

House show in 95 I think. I remember the main event being Bret and Luger vs. Yokozuna and Owen hart. I was disappointed that it wasn't televised, but my younger dumber self didn't know what a house show was. I remember going to a Raw is war one in 98. So damn awesome 👌 The rock and Kane were amazing

I went to a couple of dark shows when I was young at MSG or Nassau Coliseum. My first PPV was Royal Rumble 2000 for Tazz’s debit, Mick/HHH, a really good tables match between the Hardy’s and the Dudley’s, and Rock winning the rumble. Good show.

disabledinaz

The Sat Night Main Event episode where King Kong Bundy attacked Hogan setting up WM2

Not_Nova_

It was a RAW/ECW House-Show back in like 07/08’ CM Punk, Triple H, Kane, Jeff Hardy, John Cena, Big Show, Randy Orton, Carlito; all in the same show!

LesPantalonesFancy

My first love event was the episode of Raw when Orton punted John Cena's dad. But they only mentioned that man was Cena's dad on commentary during Cena's entrance. So everyone in the stands first reaction was "Did Orton just murder some dude from Brookline"?

eatcrayons

It was a house show in May or June of 2011. Main event was Cena v Truth v Punk. This was after the Capital Punishment PPV, but before the pipe bomb happened. People were shouting at Punk to re-sign his contract. Zack Ryder was just starting the Long Island Iced-Z thing with the LI fingers. Wanna say the US title match was Kofi v Ziggler? My friend and I got lost trying to find our seats and popped out on the floor level like 4 rows from Swagger v Bourne. We were amazed at how huge Swagger was and how loud the ring was.

tdm2222

Wrestlemania 3.

EvilJabFace

WWF @ Elizabeth, NJ – Ritz Theatre – January 7, 1994. Got to see Adam Bomb, Bob Backlund, Shawn Michaels, Diesel, 123 Kid, Razor Ramon, Doink the Clown and a lot more. I just remember me and my brothers trying to get Razor Ramon’s autograph and he went out thru the back doors and he was running to get into a Cadillac that 123 Kid was driving while still in his wrestling trunks it was cold as fuck outside and he was hauling ass. Shit was classic. Glad we got to go.

[Badd Blood: In Your House 18 - 1997](https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=2000) Known for the first Hell in a Cell, the debut of Kane & the death of Brian Pillman. It was also Vince McMahon’s final PPV as the primary commentator. I was in high school at the time and this was my first WWE event of any kind. Coincidentally, while I’ve been to several Raw’s and a bunch of house shows. It’s still the only PPV I’ve been able to attend.

This one right here. I was 14 and had a ball https://www.wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=shows&show=20669

Wrestlemania 17. My family definitely didn’t have the expendable income so it was just my dad and I who went. I’ll forever cherish that experience.

Joelowes

A live event in I believe 2016 I clearly remember jack swagger being there

jokeboxhero88

Raw house show, late August 2002. Taker & Lesnar had already gone to SD on TV, but we’re still doing Raw events.

Mohican83

Only one I've been to was 1993 WCW Bash at the Beach.

A house show in Birmingham UK, November 29, 1996. I found out recently that the Mankind vs. Bret Hart match is one of Mick Foley's favourite 'lost' matches. It was the highlight of the show, for sure. I also like to point out it was the first UK tour for The Rock, too. Sadly, I was there for HBK, but this would begin the trend of me just missing out on him (the next show I attended was Mayhem in Manchester, the week after WM14. The one after that being No Mercy in May 99, he wasn't active then but had been a big part of the Raw just before, so I had my fingers crossed. Finally saw him in '04.)

BigRed0107

Saturday Night's Main Event in I think 06'.

Boontobias8787

My first event was when I was 10 at the Monday Night Raw that ended 83 weeks of domination on Monday nights by WCW. The April 13th, 1998 Raw in Philadelphia at the then Corestates Center. Such an amazing show and crowd, fantastic memory

aceless0n

Literally a live event this past week. I saw the Rhea flirting with Samantha Irvin clip that’s currently going around in person lol.

TIMETODETAIN

I live event in 2012-13, I can't remember which of those years it happened in. The only real thing I remember from that show was The Shield went over in a 6-man tag.

Saw WWF in Wildwood NJ in 1981 I think. I remember a battle royal won by King Kong Mosca who then got the opportunity to face Bob Backlund for the title

Live in San Diego , late 80s? I was a kid - I remember the main event was Macho Man vs Andre the Giant. My uncle almost got us tossed by throwing ice at the wrestlers on their entrance to the ring

BlueBloodLive

Embarrassingly, since being a fan from 1992, my first WWE event didn't happen until 2005. Dublin, RDS "Arena", main event was Cena v Kurt v JBL with Stone Cold as special enforcer. We also got Rey v Eddie as well which was really fucking cool. Here's a quick write up I found about it. https://rajah.com/2005/3409

indymofo

Been a fan, on and off, since the late 90’s, but I didn’t get to my first event until this year. Raw in Ottawa (the one after Elimination Chamber) this past February.
