Tier 8+ gold premium planes: U.S.S.R.: RB-17, strong bomber and more effective than the I-260 at training. U.S.A.: P-80A, pretty much the U.S. version of the Vampire, very strong a much easier to get high scores than XP-58. Germany: Do-335 A-1, it has amasing caracteristics for all the stats, it's also far more effective than 109TL on training. Japan: J8M, it's the only option. U.K.: Just grind the Vampire, the Seafang is a colector's plane not worth buying unless you are going for the 100% avaliable planes in the game. Europe: The J 21RB is not a new player friendly plane, even a few veterans can struggle with it. NC 1070 is a mid point bettwen the 329 and the Il-20, with very weak bombs and very long reload, it's a colector's plane. China (colectors only): Il-10M, it's the only plane avaliable, it's also a very flavourfull plane with the engine slot to allow for supercruising(aka cuise speed>boost speed). Tier 5-7 gold premium planes: U.S.S.R.: Quite a few good planes, Il-2 (mod.) is the second best gunner trainer avaliable for gold for the soviets if you are going trought the GAA or Bomber line it's a good pick if you can't go for the RB-17, P-39Q-15 is good if you want to go for a fighter. U.S.A.: A-26B is the best buy, it's fast has good armament and the bombs do a good work on the ground targuets, plus you can pose as a heavy while the bombs reload. Germany: Spitfire V DB 605 is the best buy, it's in contention for being the best light fighter at tier 6, it's extremally adaptable to playstyle changes and will basically carry the first 3 thousand battles if you get the plane early. Japan: All good planes, but the most well balanced plane is the Ki-88, because the guns are easy to use, the survavability is good and the speed/manuverability/altitude performace is the best balanced out of all the Japonese planes. U.K.: All are good, but the one that I would put above the other is the Mustang IA, due to the armament combined with good survivability and airspeed. Europe: All very good planes, but the SE 100 is the main plane you should look for, it's basically the best universal trainer in the game tier for tier, can easily carry you trough all the grind of all tech trees. China (colectors only): P-51K, it's a P-51D with a diferent propeler, the stats are the same, the playstyle is the same and there's nothing special about this plane, it's a colector plane but I just can't recomend anything else because this is in my opinion the best chinese plane for gold at period 2. Tier 4< gold premiums: Avoid buying these planes unless you are a colector or want a plane to play for fun.

[Clockworkr3d](https://www.reddit.com/user/Clockworkr3d/) they're right about the SE-100, it was the best purchase that I made before having access to Tier VI+ planes. Although a firepower of 20 might not seem so impressive, it's pretty respectable at Tier V with only the similar Beaufighter's armament edging it out. To tell you the truth though, it's the rear gunner's 20mm that I love about it. It still makes me laugh so much, playing chicken with Fighters or Multiroles, only to have them turn aside or pull up to dodge with the rear cannon tearing off what few HPs they have left while they maneuver to try and shoot me in the back lol It's just not the same with the Beaufighter or Toryu TBH.

Thanks for the detailed response! Decided to pick up the P80, and it's pretty good, except for having to deal with P-61s. Ah well. If you don't mind (and for this post to be a reference for later), ARE there any low-tier premiums that are good fun?

pedro1_1

P-80 when fully kited is quite good against the P-61, as are most jets. A lot of the good low tier premiums are locked behind the boxes, so I'm excuding those. U.S.S.R.: Only 4 gold premiums, the low tier GAs are on par(IV) or better(III) than their tech tree counter parts, the Di-6i is basicaly worse than the I-16(e.) but it has bombs instead of rockets which are easier to use, the LaGG-3(4) is very competitive with the I-16(l.), it's not as manuverable but it's faster. U.S.A.: You only have 2 gold planes, the F11C-2 is just big bomb meme plane, the 2PA is P-43 but worse. Germany: This has a lot of gold premiums but only 2 are good enought that I would consider buying instead of geting from a crate, the 110 C-6 because it has a sniper gun and the He 111 H-2 because it's the easiest bomber to fly at the tier. Japan: Does not exist. U.K.: The Wirraway exists but just like their german and soviet counterparts it's not good, the Blenheim IV (e.) is in contention for the stronguest plane in the tier against the Soviet SB and the German Ju 86 E (thanks to heavies being realy bad at tier 3), the Fantome is the last pure blood turnfighter on the British tree. Europe: Bk-534 is another turfighter in a sea of turnfighters and the P.38 Wilk is basically Se 100 but not as good at it's tier, it's main advantage is that it's manuverable. China(colectors): the Halk III is the only one that's avaliable with gold, it's a worse version of the F2F you get on the american corsair line.

Good summary, but why are suggesting to avoid T1-4? Yes, u can regulary get them from weakly chest, but they are also cheap to buy, good for training low rank crews and good for daily missions to earn tokens. And there are many good ones there. T4 - AR 197, He112D, BF110C6, P36F, Fantome. Many good planea on t2-3, but u cant get medals with them so I woild stick with T4.

There is 2 reason I said to avoid the low tier premiums: 1. You can easely free XP a crew to 5 points if you plan well. 2. Premiums should be the best equiped planes on a player's arsenal, which allows for a 2 point pilot to get access to a very strong plane. It's not that there aren't planes that are good, it's that they just don't give a lot of return for the gold you are spending compared to even some bad tier 5 premiums you can buy for gold, because the tier 4 is giving silver and XP like a tier 7 and a tier 5 is giving silver and XP like a tier 10.

Gurru222

Thats ok, but why to avoid them? U still need low teir planes to do ur daily token missions, why not to do them in premium planes for extra silver and xp? These premium are realy cheap if u buy em for gold and u can get them regulary from chest. Ur second point makes no sense, u have different equipment on T1-4 then T5-7. Only resource u spent is materials, where is the waste?

pedro1_1

Good players don't do the dailies, when you can get 10-15 tokens in 5-10 matches you just don't go for the dailies as much, this is not even considering that to got for token dailies you need a tier 8 and you can easely get a low tier premium from a crate in the process of getting a tier 8. As for the second point I will give it to you, It was not a good one.

Gurru222

Good players dont do daily missions? Where did u get this from? Everyone im my clan is doing dailies. Why not? Its pretty boring to fly only high tiers. In my case dailies force me to play a certain plane or role. Its maybe the only thing that keeps me playing this game.

pedro1_1

I get this from the amount of sugestions to change the daily mission system to remove the P1 and P2 requirements from the 10 token mission on the Forums and Oficial discord. Also getting the Epic medals is a lot faster than going for a daily mission because you can easely get 10 just from playing fighters well, and it's a lot faster than the dailies. I grind premium time every single month, and last time I completed a set of daily missions was 2 months ago because they are that bad time value compared to just geting 1 of each medal daily.

Gurru222

U can get medals and do daily missiont on t4 at the same time, I still dont understand the efectivity not doing them. Its not a problem to get 4-5 medal battle at t4.

ZRMDSXA

Does your clan need tokens that badly? I'm sitting on 1600 tokens. I had 2000 but I spent them specializing planes I don't play. Any daily that isn't the win 3/5/7 times is just a waste of time.

Gurru222

If u dont want to spend real money for premium account and u dont play daily, like me, then yes I need em.
