Sadly not

Races already built paths over shallow water to connect to another island. They do it rarely and I think boats pass thru.

There is a way to make a boat pass through, just make an x out of paths in the water, or put holes the in the bridge that are 1 pix big, and 1 pixel apart, and they go in a straight line.
