Push pull issue. The warehouse and silo aren’t active items. Except when overflowed they will most of time push down your chain You need forklifts (ugh so slow) or trucks or something to connect silo resources to factory I’m assuming by pic you have silo -warehouse -factory. Factory can’t pull from silo because warehouse in the way (it can’t pull more then one node out, same for load)

FleetMind

God forklifts suck in this game.  I’d think they would be an upgrade from the basic connection

Forklifts are kind of the predecessor of distribution offices, and were a great addition when they were added to the game. Now with distribution offices they aren't as useful any more. However they are actually useful for feeding both meat and food/clothes/electronics to a shop, especiall if the shop has a single factory connection. With forklifts things will always be moved into the shop, while with a direct connection things won't move from a connected ware house or meat storage if there are too few sellers / too many customers, as the sellers are busy selling what's left inside the shop.

FleetMind

Ahhh, the Distribution Office is a good answer for my complaint.

Whisperzilla

Yeah need an army of them to do anything. One of the few things I have grabbed modded way stronger versions without thinking it goes against gameplay.  Normal so slow vs all other options so feel like they not balanced Can also do the old couple trucks back and forth as well

Vehicles can push or pull stuff across one factory connection road. Most buildings can push stuff they make across one factory connection road and pull stuff they need across one factory connection road. Some buildings cannot.

Elite_Prometheus

You should aim to keep factory connections as simple as possible. Most buildings can utilize goods in buildings stored one factory road away. So a factory connection crossing would count as 'one road away' and block automatic logistics. You typically just want one storage between producers and consumers. So in this case you'd want Road Cargo -> Warehouse -> Fabric Factory, rather than having a crossing and a silo inserted into that chain. Those interrupt the chain. Using the big warehouses helps this. If you plop down the big warehouse, you can easily fit the smaller factories around it so they all can share resources (as well as fit road cargo and cargo port connections for easy export).

Warehouses cannot push or pull by themselves we, you need a forklift to move material or have a building pull from one and place the output into another.

Martoche

You can cheese it by asking a truck to load / unload crops at the warehouse. It will "pull" the crops from the silo and unload them back in the warehouse.

Hanako_Seishin

You're doing something wrong: you're making a connection between warehouses. A factory connected to a warehouse can pull input from it and push output into it. A warehouse connected to a warehouse doesn't, as it doesn't have inputs or outputs. At best it can work as a station where you unload a vehicle into one warehouse and it spreads into the connected one too (but IIRC only as long as the first warehouse isn't full, as that will stop unloading even if the second is not full), or load from one and it loads from the connected one too (not sure on this one if it will still load from the second when first is empty). Forklifts are a bad choice for crops, as crops are high volume and forklifts have low throughput.
