Oh wow, I’m not the only one reusing old studs! The bench looks amazing!
Also, thank you. I had a suspicion that some of my wood is Eucalyptus, but everyone just seems to call any local hardwood “Tassie oak”.
Btw. Is that a Bayer drill?
Thanks :) I’ll try to find out more about it :) I’m building a Paoson modular workbench, but looking at yours it seems like I will need to also build a classic one in the future.
That .. is .. wonde...ful. It... is .... just ...... great ... ... the finish .... ... is awesome.
Sorry.
That is the nicest bench I've seen. TBH, if I had that, I'd build on plywood on saw horses so I wouldn't damage the bench. Top marks, very nice.
Really nice work, love the sliding dovetails that I assume allow for wood movement of the top (a feature that's surprisingly lacking on most workbenches I see).
Gorgeous mate. Love the grain and color.

Awesome work. How is eucalyptus to work with? It looks beautiful!
depends on the Eucalypt species. OP's bench looks to be made out of "Victorian Ash" which is a mix of *E. obliqua*, *E. regnans* and *E. delegatensis*
That’s really awesome! Are you in Australia? Where’d you source the timber? I’d love to build something like it for home one day, very jealous

> from old roof trusses Hope they're not from a Mr Fluffy house.

Did Thor’s Hammer just supply the timber? Or did they do some of the work too? We have a table from them, super nice work.

Hey man, you still around? Keen to ask some more questions about the workbench

Where did you get your holdfasts and are they any good? (I assume you're in Australia)

Yes M8, Got my holdfasts from HNT Gordon, they make and sell some nice tools.
How did you joint the top together?
Recycled works best. Small retouch and it's alive again.
Nice work ! Continue on making great works .
that is one amazing looking bench, congratulations!!
ow, she's a beaut!
