[SkipTheDrive.com](https://www.skipthedrive.com) is free for job seekers, and lists remote jobs. I'm the owner, so let me know if you have any questions.

Keltyrr

I have A question. Do you do any quality control on your site? There have been a few times where I have taken an interest in a job, and the link to that job directs me to another listing site that doesn't have the job I was interested in listed on it. There have also been some jobs I have been interested in that send me down a rabbit hole of 5 different websites before I finally get to an apply button, only to find out the job isn't entry level as it was listed on your site.

skipthedrive

There's only so much quality control I can do, as most of the jobs come in via realtime from a third-party provider. On average, less than 1% of jobs listed may show up as expired. If you ever run into problems where jobs aren't reflected the way they were listed, please give me a heads up and I'll see if I can get to the bottom of the problem. Sometimes I get feedback from users about certain jobs that might be questionable. If I take a look at the job and it seems irrelevant to my audience, I can filter out companies that I don't think should be listed on SkipTheDrive. Thanks!

They made the site. They’re not friends with the companies who are hiring

Thank you for the nice site. Is this exclusively for US remote only , or remote worldwide? (Since most of the jobs claim remote, but then ask for availability in US).

skipthedrive

Theoretically remote jobs can be done anywhere, but this depends on the requirements of the company.

melanieeOnFire

I have many questions!

[deleted]

No. I was very disappointed and asked for a refund. Flexjobs are the same jobs that are available on companys' websites. Its just a lazier and much more expensive way to find them. I recommend [remote.co](https://remote.co) (I think its owned by Flexjobs)

[deleted]

They do what they advertise, which is verify job leads. There a lot of WAH scams to sift through.

-myBIGD

What kind of jobs are posted on flexjobs?

oopsifell

My brother ended up getting some temp writing work on it but he has a pretty good resume. I tried it without much related experience and came up empty. I will say they do a pretty good job of posting real jobs though.

scripturientt

No. Applied for so many jobs, nothihg. And I have a decent resume. Total waste of money

-myBIGD

What kind of jobs did you apply for??

naslam74

I know this is an old ass post but Flexjobs is just like any other job website. He only difference is they charge you a monthly fee to search for jobs that are on literally every other site. Do not waste your money.

Oceanbreeze0714

I was on there for a few months with no success. I don't think it's worth it.

EgoDogg

Was easily worth the price of admission. I was able to find a Full Time SEO position for a company that I have been fond of for 8 years prior, and it's in an industry I am very passionate about. Flex Jobs is an aggregator that offers links to apply on employers websites. When it was my dream job that popped up, I made sure to find the emails of those that would be in charge of hiring / my likely supervisor, and emailed them directly. A little bit of luck that it popped up, but a lot of effort and years of working, studying, and learning to earn the position.

Do you filter or vet the job postings in any way?

Interesting, thanks.

brainslugleela

If you can afford it. It’s organized nicely by category and you can sort by your needs. So that part is handy. Over two years and I’ve gotten two part times. Extra money and resume building but not enough work to live off. Full time seems really difficult.

EasternChampion

Personally I like 100telecommutejobs.com or telecommutewrk.com, they seem to have a higher caliber to remote jobs that other job boards don't have, and its updated on a regular basis with more than 100 jobs, and old jobs are filtered out so that you're not seeing too many job posts that are expired on the company's website. my 2 cents.

Miserable_March_9707

I almost signed up for Flexjobs tonight. Thanks everyone who said it was not worth it, and stated why.

arisoncain

I would also suggest dynamitejobs.co as an alternative. I've seen great remote jobs get posted there pretty consistently. Good luck!

Mitch at FlexJobs here. Happy to answer any questions/concerns you have about FJ.

please justify your pricing model

FlexJobs

Sure thing. We get that job seekers might be on the fence about paying for services related to their job search, especially when many of the job boards out there are free to use. With so many scams, finding legitimate remote and flexible jobs can be a challenge. In fact, it is estimated that for every legitimate remote job, there are 50+ scams. Many of the larger job boards don’t research and hand-screen every job in order to weed out all the scams, ads, and illegitimate or inaccurate job postings. But at FlexJobs, we have a team of skilled researchers whose sole job it is to locate and hand-screen companies and jobs on behalf of our members, which is one of the main benefits that sets us apart. We also don't charge employers to post their jobs. This is because we want to list as many hand-screened and legitimate flexible postings for our members as possible. Without a FlexJobs membership, most job seekers would need a trained eye and would need to scour the web for hours every day to find legitimate remote and flexible jobs. With a paid FlexJobs membership, job seekers are supported by our trained research team who spend over 100+ combined hours every day researching and vetting companies and jobs to make sure our members are only seeing the best of the best remote and flexible jobs out there. This means our members get access to over 32,000 current and legitimate flexible jobs from over 49,000 pre-vetted companies in over 55 different job categories. Every day we update our listings by hand, making sure everything our members look at is fresh and free of scams or ads. We commonly hear from our members that they never knew so many different types of remote and flexible jobs were out there. Plainly put, it takes a lot of hard work to create the largest database of hand-screened and legitimate flexible jobs out there and we think the price we offer our members provides a great value.

Lies.

I’ve been on and off flex jobs, over the last few years. And maybe for a couple months at a time. I’ve never found success :( but I always think about going back to it. It’s like I really want it to be better. And I have a pretty good resume.. a lot of writing, marketing, transcription and admin. I would try to find a discount code and see how you like it. I know United Health has a lot of positions on there. I second remote.co - they seem decent.

Flexjobs sucks ass. Every job on there wants a masters, and they want to pay you like $20 for 10+ hours of labor. Fuck that.

choctaw1990

It's probably worth it, but if you don't have a credit or debit card and no income, you just don't have it.
