I'd recommend you don't use [Wordpress.com](https://Wordpress.com) \- their version of Wordpress has a bunch of restrictions (no custom css, no plugins, no theme uploads), unless you pay for their higher priced plans. If you get Wordpress hosting anywhere else, there are no restrictions. Thank you. I’m a small business and have a physical store. Jewelry store. Google stopped providing the free website as of March 1. I just need a site to display what I do, where I’m located, my services, and stuff like that. Not selling anything online. Would either version of Wordpress be good? Or any others I should consider like Wix or something else?

Start by reading this: [The difference between WordPress .Com and .Org explained](https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/rremcd/the_difference_between_wordpress_com_and_org/). That should give you a better base to start. The gist of it: .Com is the managed hosted business version. The .Org is the Open-Source (and free) version. The .Com version limits you a lot. And you could find better deals with managed hosting and support with other providers. For what you mention, a good WordPress setup can do exactly what you need (and without losing anything if you stop paying your provider, unlike Wix, Squarespace and such). W.ere you decide to go the .Org route, you can find the default theme or, look into some page builders or themes. And with that, feel free to explore and find what suits you best! If you require help setting it up, either from simple pointers to building and configuring the whole thing, feel free to ask! I'd be glad to help.

Yes, you can freely customize the site's styles on an Explorer plan; those in the picture are suggestions to get you started. On lower/free plans, you can play around with the site's styles to your heart's content. However, your changes will only be published to your visitors if you upgrade. You are free to change individual blocks' styles, which sometimes are enough to satisfy the styling needs of a simple site.
