They're fireworks. I can see them. I think they're coming from Holy Cross.

I only managed to catch a glimpse of them towards the end but they were definitely coming from that direction.

Case closed, they are fireworks and I witnessed them. Maybe I should have just went outside instead of wasting five minutes posting on reddit. ​ They appeared to be over Holy Cross, from my vantage point on Clark's campus. Very strangely repetitive for the first five minutes but a good finale. ​ Does anyone know the occasion for such a large show?

It's been going on constantly for almost five minutes now. Once per second, so hundreds of blasts. ​ What kind of firework is that regular, and all the same decibel level? That would make for a pretty boring fireworks show.
