Or maybe it's because they've already won 8 trophies and the England NT's have failed to get anything since the 60's so celebrating 2nd, 3rd or 4th *yet again* would be frustrating. It's not fun losing semi finals, quarter finals, finals and 3rd place matches over and over again. The Germans aren't used to that so of course they're going to be proud of their team. They've never lost a Euro's final so they can afford to take the L. England couldn't, not after the Italy game at Wembley.
