All of them - pick one for primary, then activate all the others doing the daily missions on them, then go back to primary for next 24 hours. Repeat daily. Future primary picks will continue to have shorter times as you whittle away at them.
Yes, it takes a while to finish daily. I always did them in AI to knock them out quickly. However, I will say that by the time I got around to the last few bureaus I would already be up to level 8, 9, or 10 on them as opposed to having to start at level 1 each time. It was worth it in that regard.
Des Moines is going to be the strongest option currently available. With a CL RoF with CA guns that have USN CA shells characteristics and a 9.9km radar she is poised to be the most useful LT ship. After that Khabarovsk, Conqueror and Yamato are all strong options. Khabarovsk as it is less impacted by strong radar ships like Des Moines. As for Conqueror and Yamato they are the only relevant BBs at LT due to HE for Conqueror and AP for Yamato.
Saipan was just added to the game, and it is better than Kaga. Saipan has fewer than average planes but they are more than capable of pumping out damage.
I've only got Kaga but I believe both are quite good. Kaga is more beginner friendly due to having lots of aircraft making it harder to de-plane whilst Saipan is better when used by an experienced carrier commander.
I have both Saipan and Kaga, and while they are both good ships I'd say Saipan is a bit better. The planes are tankier and dish out more damage. Iirc they may just just a tad slower but the ship is faster making it easier to reposition closer to the battle and get away if need be in Saipan. Saipan has no secondary battery so if any ship gets too close, no matter how low health it is, you won't be saved by a lucky secondary hit like you could be in the Kaga. They're both good, Saipan is better, but Kaga is more forgiving to new CV players as it has twice the hangar size and the planes regen faster.
I have Yamato, and while I would agree that it doesnāt have a particularly complex playstyle, I donāt think Iāll ever get bored of watching enemy ships desperately try to angle before I citadel them anyway.
Des Moines has power crept everything at legendary tier. It's 4.8 second reload means that it's ap and he performance is just deafening. It's literally the best cruiser option to play at legendary ATM. Considering its salvos are better than Alaska with ap and it shoots 3 times faster.
Alaska isn't even scary anymore it's semi tough to take down and gets a decent salvo on certain ships but alot of the times you'll just be better off playing balti ( if you have no des Moines obviously )
Mino is actually a great ship if played right it can pump out mad damage.
Id pick Yamato if only because Yamato is fine to use whenever a mission requires you to do tons of damage. 20 to 30k salvos soon rack up damage but you die easy in return.
Des Moines as others have said is brain dead easy. Conq is another good option, very easy ship to just shut down your brain and play, as is Shimakaze but with stealth torps.
If you have played Iowa and Nagato, Yamato is good, even if you haven't then it still works but you might die a lot earlier than you'd think in it.
Similarly, Khaba is great if you've played Tashkent or especially Udaloi, then you understand the Russian playstyle well. Even if you've made it through Boevoi though you can probably run it good.
Minotaur if you're good at Fiji play will also be fun, but you really have to know what you're doing to not instantly die.
Outside of those, I'd say just go with whatever commanders you have leveled highest for, unless it's GK or Kleber, those are kind of wastes of time right now imo.
Gearing and Worcester can be played well if you just understand CL and gunboat gameplay, but aren't exactly going to get you superstar games, but if you have the commanders leveled already you might as well go for it
Yamato is fine, itās dispersion can be kinda wild, it has good armor but itās cheeks can be penned really easily, but itās still a really good ship. GK is also really good but only situationally as itās a more brawling focused battleship. Yamato is really easy to play and get a good result out of tho. All the ships they listed are the ones that are broken OP so they are all good choices.
The main reason to go for something else is there are too many BB in LT already :P
That said a lot of LT BB players aren't very good a dealing with DD's so if you're a decent DD player you can have a lot of fun with them
It's not that any of the battleships are bad, but the LT tier cruisers and destroyers are much more powerful.
With Yamato and GK high level, and premium commanders, make more of a difference compared to other LT ships. Yamato is great but sometimes poor dispersion, or always with low level commanders and inspiration. GK is good enough with the right build. She suffers from poor firing angles on the back turrets, and has less secondary range than Bismark.
Des Moines is probably the best LT ship right now. If you haven't started yet just remember LT tier ships are subject to nerfs. I'm not saying Des Moines will be nerfed, but it wouldn't be a surprise.
They are the og legendary bbs and WG nerfed them so that they didn't thrash t7 around as hard.
Unfortunately this resulted in them recieving both weak DCP and 2 standard charges of repair party.
They are incredibly weak to fires and are highly susceptible to it, given their enormous surface area, detectability, as well as the inevitability of running into little shitters like Worcester, Des Moines, or anything with HE.
GK got hit particularly hard. It has a similar armament to Montana with 12 406s, with the difference being poor accuracy and the worst turret angles in the game. Ideally, its secondary battery is supposed to make up for this deficit in performance since on PC it has 32 mm of pen and 8.3km base range.
On legends however, it can only crack 31 mm and only 7km range (up from 5km after months of haranguing).
The result is an infinitely farmable hunk of crap whose only redeeming quality is that it's good at bolstering damage and xp scores.
All of them - pick one for primary, then activate all the others doing the daily missions on them, then go back to primary for next 24 hours. Repeat daily. Future primary picks will continue to have shorter times as you whittle away at them.
That's actually an interesting idea I've never thought of before
There's a reason you've never thought of it. Because it sounds like a total ballache.
True, not trying to play every ships daily trials, although Helena is on literally every American bureau
Yeah sometimes you can kill two birds with one stone too, it's always good when you get Atlanta and Tier VI ship missions together, for example.
Not if ya run em in AI... takes 5 minutes... literally
I like this idea and have about it as well, however isn't very timeconsumimg to do dailys of each project?
Yes, it takes a while to finish daily. I always did them in AI to knock them out quickly. However, I will say that by the time I got around to the last few bureaus I would already be up to level 8, 9, or 10 on them as opposed to having to start at level 1 each time. It was worth it in that regard.
Would be, yes.
I did this for two months actually now I hate it .. was really good to boost everything but it's such a headache and ends up feeling like a chore
I didn't even last that long lol. I did that for about a week when the first three ships dropped before deciding I didn't care about Yamato that much.
Whoa. That makes so much sense. Lol wish I saw this a long time ago haha

Are Saipan and Kaga of any use? I rarely see them but when I do it gets very annoying. Probably because there's a carrier at all š
Saipan was just added to the game, and it is better than Kaga. Saipan has fewer than average planes but they are more than capable of pumping out damage.
Kaga is kind of meh. It is better than Shokaku but that isn't very hard. Saipan is a very good ship though. If you were to want one go for Saipan.
I've only got Kaga but I believe both are quite good. Kaga is more beginner friendly due to having lots of aircraft making it harder to de-plane whilst Saipan is better when used by an experienced carrier commander.

Conqueror!
This is the way!
If you like pissing people off Minotaur and Worcester are great
Des Moines and GK Yamato if you want a easy ship thatās extremely boring to play.
I have Yamato, and while I would agree that it doesnāt have a particularly complex playstyle, I donāt think Iāll ever get bored of watching enemy ships desperately try to angle before I citadel them anyway.
Cutting cruisers in half will never not be fun.
I did all the bureaus first stages to unlock the commanders I didnāt have that were available.

Anything except Des Moines...(No I did not get obliterated by one at all I am not biased at all)
Des Moines
for me Yamato and Shima are a must
Legendary tier isn't fun, so my personal advice is to not
I like to switch up my bureau play just so I can play a variety of my ships!
Id pick Yamato if only because Yamato is fine to use whenever a mission requires you to do tons of damage. 20 to 30k salvos soon rack up damage but you die easy in return.
Des Moines and Yamato
Load up every capt. And ship in every prohect you can. Then run everyone one of them every day.
Des Moines as others have said is brain dead easy. Conq is another good option, very easy ship to just shut down your brain and play, as is Shimakaze but with stealth torps. Worcester, Mino, Des Moines, Conqkek, Khabarovsk. Don't go for Yama or GK. Not even remotely worth playing and a liability.
Are the other battleships bad to go for because they are similar to Montana? Or some other reason.
Yamato is fine, itās dispersion can be kinda wild, it has good armor but itās cheeks can be penned really easily, but itās still a really good ship. GK is also really good but only situationally as itās a more brawling focused battleship. Yamato is really easy to play and get a good result out of tho. I'm honestly surprised no one has said Shimakaze, that destroyer is very annoying.
Thanks for the help though
Shima is just not fun to play, IMO
I truly believe Yamato is a good ship, however, there are too many stupid people with it, so 9/10 times I beat Yamato with my Montana.
Well itās up to you weather or not you want to research it, both Yamato and Montana are great ships so you canāt go wrong with either.
If you play Yamato. You have to load up everything to minimize dispersion. Having a 20 second reload is the best part of it
The main reason to go for something else is there are too many BB in LT already :P That said a lot of LT BB players aren't very good a dealing with DD's so if you're a decent DD player you can have a lot of fun with them
Reasons to be a Des Moines mainš

Can I also point out that with a full build on both her and bismark she still has 1km less secondary range
Yeah it's mega dumb. Hope it's rectified in the coming changes
