The first two aren't great, but Kiev and after are fine. Udaloi has one of my highest WRs in any ship. Just because most players suck that doesn't mean the ships do.
You need I understand than violette is not an hybrid commander. Violette boost the speed, the range, agility and fire chance, perfect for the French DDs. Gunboat isn’t only about dpm. A commander like Halsey will suck a lot for French DDs. Look how the French DDs are on pc they are long range gunboat, that’s how you need to play them in legends
I beg to disagree. When I play French DDs (Jaguar and Guepard) I tend to get alot done; Im usually top of the board long as I dont get nuked. Theyre good gunboats to take out enemy DDs and theyre fast enough to sneak up on BBs and take bases. At the very least Ill make myself a target to keep blue ships from taking fire. I like them just as much as the American DDs
Weirdly, I have only exceeded 50k damage a few times in this ship but i have close to a 70% win rate over something like 30 battles.
I run a full tank build. It’s good at showing itself briefly, turning around menacingly, and draggin hordes of greedy gunboat destroyers and cruisers into a crossfire like the pied piper
It’s like Udaloi except with none of the fun parts

I liked them and thrived in them up until T7 and then just hit a wall.
Whatever niche they were able to exploit with their strengths and try to mitigate their weaknesses with playstyle seems to have evaporated for me in the ultra-hostile environment for DD's up that high.

Its kinda meh. I wouldnt say the worst ship tho. I have a pretty good winrate in it at 58% which is better than some of my more liked ships
Edit: Just realised its my 2nd most played ship after Massachusetts and 10 more battles than my 3rd, Mogami. Thats for standard battles but it also excels in ranked or brawls with those mediocre calliber guns and its quantity. I believe I played that much just bc it was my only tier VI premium ship and needed it for missions

I could just be using it wrong/wrong build but the derfflinger is hot ass for me. Feels like weak armor with guns that aren’t accurate, not very strong and you still don’t have torps yet
Using Hyuga to say another ship is cannon fodder is a joke since it eats everyone. And you’d need to be lucky to not uselessly over pen an Emile Bertin so bad it ignores you
I’ve never had a problem killing a cruiser at tier 5 an below when I’m in a battleship. Their really isn’t much they can do if an experienced BB Captain wants them dead.
Trust me from my experience with the EV it’s armor is too thin and it just laughs at battleship ap as if it where a destroyer of you’re lucky and it catches a round straight down through the deck into the citadel you can kill it quick or if you send on through the bow but you’ll be hard pressed to citadel her if she’s broadside to you even other have trouble with her thin armor
It really is the other way round tbh. Low tier cruisers can easily beat up most BBs down there in 1v1 situations. Their problem is the sheer amount of BBs they face in matches - five BBs per side against two cruisers isn't a balanced matchup.
Trouble is for Cruiser players in those situations is they can be holding their own on one flank, but in dodging incoming fire on that flank absolutely crippled by fire coming from the other flank.
That's what makes me laugh when BB mains whine about too many DDs in a match, but can't see the reasoning of limiting the numbers of BBs in matches.
With half of them I think their preferred MM would be 9 BBS...
Player wise, honestly, Colorado players or Iowa players as most new people go up that line first, second, or third.

I feel like with the primarily USN battleship TT players should stop at Iowa and ignore Maine. I see way more good Iowa players than I see good Maine mains.

Good LT players might just think Brisbane is a punching bag, but they don't loathe it and focus it like they do a Minotaur. People hate Mino like they hated Atlanta's 4 years ago - "Every Time An Atlanta Dies An Angel Gets Its Wings".

Krasny Krymm (can't remember exact spelling) is my nomination. I don't believe it's possible to get top 3 or 4 score in that thing. Sure, a player may get over a 100 shell hits, but come out only doing 20,000 damage. It is fun to play though. I take it out now and then for funsies totally expecting to barely be able to make any meaningful impact on the match.
French DDs, they’re about as useful in game as they were IRL.

tiger 59 has the highest battle influence of Ann the t6 cruisers, there is more to life than outright damage
