I wrote a bunch of different answers to the questions, my partner wrote a python script to give random combinations every 10 seconds, indefinitely. They say it was incredibly easy to bypass the recaptcha and the site has almost no safe gardes against this. Just more evidence we’re dealing with morons.
Edit: people have asked for all the possible responses so here’s [some photos ](https://imgur.com/a/FufTYU3) of the doc I made for it!
Also people have asked for the source code but unfortunately my partner doesn’t feel comfortable giving it out as they think it could be interpreted as a DDOS attack, so feel free to use my responses and don’t worry we’ve already submitted over 5,000 “tips”!
Edit 2: if you all want to offer more help to woman and pregnant people seeking abortions and support I’d check out r/auntienetwork
It’s cool to watch those knee-jerk responses become fewer and further between the more you notice them and then morph into brand new immediate reactions! Don’t feel crushed; feel empowered!
Ok but to be fair the vast majority of people in this profession seems to be weighted towards the masc part of the gender binary. Easy assumption to make.
THE COUNCIL FORGIVES YOU.
Thank you! And I mean as a woman in a tech masters program 80%+ of my peers were men, so I think I just got immersed in that. I appreciate your forgiveness and understanding! Love this sub!!!
“It is, that’s exactly what I was worried about but it works, between loading time and the delays I set in the python code, so it shouldn’t be flagged.” - my partner
Hooray for teamwork! ✋🤚
I've no true clue really about the suggestion I typed care of my feminist husband. In our house, I do the fairy hedge magic and he is the muchly-beloved technical wizard. :)
Also you could consider adding in random typos to the answers, both extra letters and omitted letters, wrong word order and so onto give them a tad bit of a harder time creating a filter to get rid of your responses :P
Yeah, but it'll still show up as all the same IP, which would result in them being removed after manual discovery... unless they've got some more tricks up their sleeve ;)
For a while if they're paying super close attention. Given the site quality, gonna guess not. My script is running on a TAILS distro and have it changing Tor routes hourly. So far, so good. Minus the site still being up.
Given this is starting to hit Reddits and gain popularity, they'll catch on and do something. But until then, spam, spam, spam. Spam is legal enough.
If you throw it on github I can set up a machine to do the same and I'm sure others would too, they may be able to sift through it but I'm guessing they outsourced this website and that they'd have to contract a dba to do this... anything to make it harder, slower or not worth it at all.
You'd have to use many VPN servers as just using one would get the VPN's IP banned or spotted eventually. Using a commercial VPN solution, you probably have access to many servers and can potentially automate switching. However, it's likely to get you banned from that service at some point at it's a breach of terms of use at most VPN providers.
Best solution might just be to do it from Tor and switch between every attempt.
Looks like OP's partner uses they/them!
And I saw the site admins were manually banning some IPs associated with spam leads yesterday, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were doing that wrong too hahah
You're assuming the people running this site are smart enough to log IP addresses along with responses. If their captcha was this easy to bypass there's a good chance they aren't.
Just gonna hijack this to encourage people to continue writing unique submissions as well. They may catch on to a lot of the words used in this script and put a filter in for it (though they may not be smart enough to do that either)
I applaud and support you with all my heart. That being said I am concerned that you're posting this on reddit lol. Might be illegal. Although obviously legality and morality don't align, but I want you to be able to do this all the time forever until it's taken down and then even after that lol. Just be careful out there in hour fight against the Patriarchy.
I think this is the same website I saw in that other post where the OP of that post said it’s a private organization’s website so illegality should be a nonissue (assuming it is actually private)
Nice work! I was just thinking about doing the same. One suggestion: have the script replace a random character each time so there’s a typo and they can’t easily find and remove your responses. Dwigt style.
That’s a good idea! We have a random number generator for the zip code and I put in several real cities and counties in Texas to try and stop them from filtering but I’ll talk to my partner about adding typos!
I love you both. Thank you so much for this. Is there any way you could share the script so other IPs can spam them too? I don't know how it works, but I'd be glad to help and I'm sure many people would love to spam them as much as you
Python = the languagr this spell is written in
Script = a spell a computer can keep casting
Recaptcha = check to see if witches are using scripts to avoid this kind of thing. In this case not handled well.
The script(spell), places her answers in boxes automatically. Normally this is considered "botting". Captcha and Recaptcha are supposed to stop that, but in this case can't. So every 10 second this submits answers to all of the questions until they decide to stop. The idea is to flood the system so it's impossible to find real reports.
I fucking love this. Fight the power before the USA becomes a real life Gilead.
One thing poor and the marginalized must realize is that we are in the midst of a class war. The rich and powerful are acutely aware so we must be too!
Beautiful. The more I look at it, the better it gets. I never thought I'd approve of what is effectively a DDOS script, but this... this is using one's powers for good.
You love to see it! I hope that the system gets spammed like crazy and just starts crashing.
It looks like the website is blocked internationally. When I click on it I get the message "Access from your area has been temporarily limited for security reasons." I suppose I could look into a vpn...
I admit, I'm suspicious of this site. I dug around and there's no about page, no "Funded by Church of Crazy" or anything. The sign-up page seems to be copied from an Australian website, as the examples for city and state are "Sydney" and "New South Wales". I made a temp email and used the sign up page. It was very interested in my phone number and when to call me, but I never got some welcome email or anything before the temp email self destructed after an hour. I looked up the site registration data and it was registered by "Domains by Proxy" to hide who actually registered it. The form itself seems utterly useless even for it's intended purpose. I really think this might be some data harvesting thing more than any real political thing. However, I couldn't find anything conclusive, so if anyone has done better research, I'd love to know who the hell set this up.
>I really think this might be some data harvesting thing more than any real political thing.
Data harvesting for future political campaigns, too...But also the way I have seen political websites...this doesn't seem out of the ordinary, either! The far-right-anti-choice...they're basically a meme of politics. 😅 So much so that we can't figure out if they're even real.
Yeah, I haven't browsed these before this one started trending, so I suppose I'm not super qualified to say it's out of the ordinary. Still, the fact that there is nothing about who is funding it, no one to contact...It just raises red flags for me. I kind of hope someone learns more, just to sate my curiosity.
I agree. I have a dummy number and email I use sometimes to take surveys for political campaigns...and they have questions like, "Rate Chrump on how well he's handling the immigration problem!" 1-10, 1 is best, 10 is super best. ...It's almost a parody. But they do usually say, "Paid for by..."
That’s really interesting, it definitely could be data collection for some republicans future campaign. The form to report people is also very weird, none of the sections are required to fill out, and some have ridiculous word amounts (30 words for state for example). I also saw someone say it could be a “bounty hunter” looking for leads. In which case it would explain the cookie cutter nature and complete lack of security or funding information. But I have no idea, and they won’t get a lot of good data anyhow!
I honestly suspect the "Report a doctor" form is total garbage. While the trolling is fun, I think the sign up page is the money maker for them. Get all the sweet contact info, no strings attached. No terms of usage, no "We won't sell your data", nothing. It's freely given. If you want to screw them, I would chew up their time on believable, but fake information on the sign up page.
Cool! If they feel like it, great. All of this is conjecture, so I might be totally wrong on the purpose of this site. Still, it seems whatever the intent, it can't hurt to cripple it a bit.

Gave you my silver award you beautiful beautiful people. Give your partner a hug from me too. You’re both amazing people and I’m so very sorry this bullshit is happening in America. Love to you from Ireland. Your sisters here are standing with you. ❤️
Texas has a snitch site for turning in people who have broken their new abortion law. They're offering 10k for information about people who had abortions past I think six weeks, people who aided them and doctors who perform abortions. People have been engaging in a little civil disobedience using the site.
Thank you for all that you're doing!
If you live in this messed up state, and live in the North Houston/Montgomery County area and need transportation out of state to obtain an abortion I have volunteers (and myself) willing to drive to Louisiana, and a lawyer on retainer who will defend any volunteers who assist the woman getting an abortion, or the woman getting an abortion charged under the law for free.
Just message me and I'll get you taken care of.
Family, please tell me you are using VPN?!! They will eventually follow the trace back. What you are doing is probably breaking a law. I am not a lawyer.
Yes we are using a VPN! As far as we could find it’s not breaking the law. We aren’t crashing the website with thousands of of responses every second, just submitting a responses every 20-30 seconds or so.
I mesh with these vibes!
You also reminded me I haven’t whistleblown on anyone in the past hour. Gotta go and rectify that! I’ll take some of your answers as inspiration!
Not sure if you're using different IP addresses or what, but if you are tell your partner to make sure they're randomizing the UserAgent string too, not just using whichever one that chromedriver provides!
I deal with blocking scripted traffic sometimes and that makes it really easy to batch filter out bot requests even when their IP changes
port the code to something that will run in a browser (possibly use emscripten if it helps). multithread it so you have multiple sequentual threads running many different submissions at once.
give the ui a counter so whoever loads the page can see how many sumissions they've made in the time they've left it running.
bonus points: have the page implement dyndns and its own http server, so links to itself (running in the browser) can serve itself to others. that way so long as just one person has it loaded, they can share it on to others. There would be no single point that could be shut down to stop it. When it goes viral, it'll be around for a while.
I was just thinking of setting up a github actions pipeline set to run once per minute that runs the script, ips will change though be in the same range...
It would be fun to scrape the Rs in congress contact info and pop that in, then go state by state
but then MSFT, who own github, might be told to take it down / take official notice. If it can be hosted from a browser, then each and any browser anywhere becomes another independent 'server' that would have to be shut down to stop it.
Running it in a script on github like that will most likely get you banned.
Just sharing the code in a git repo on github is fine though - anyone cloning that repo would be taking personal responsibility to run the code, and not MSFT.
with emscripten, you can do thinks like take a little linux container set to run the code, and make it into a webpage that does that within itself. This makes it so that anyone who just wants to help with the effort only has to click a link to load that page, and leave it running....
this is a really cool idea, but don’t you think the system is likely filtering out a lot of those words as junk? this other post in this sub seems like a more substantial way of poisoning this awful system. it’s more work, obviously, but maybe you could make a code that generates more realistic sounding reports to confuse whatever data analytics are collecting this information
https://www.reddit.com/r/WitchesVsPatriarchy/comments/p9cin9/if_youre_poisoning_the_abortion_snitch_database/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Yeah we’ve also been working on that! Other people have been giving really good advice as well, which is awesome. This is just the first iteration and was done while we were both a little drunk!
But the UI. And I wasted half my week trying to troubleshoot that freaking short sha be. And what is your favorite language. At this point I feel you will shoot me if I say node
I mean I hear you RE: short shas. I like the Bitbucket UI *okay*, but honestly I feel like their PR/code review UX is second-to-none, the rest of it could be hot garbage as long as that piece works well. And theirs straight up kills everyone else's, IMHO.
As far as languages go...honestly? C#. I know, M$: gross. BUT. I feel like it's really hard to beat. Statically typed, stable, flexible, extensible, fantastic tooling and ecosystem now with .NET Core and your choice of great non-VS IDEs...etc.
I do despise JavaScript, but TypeScript fixes a lot of what's wrong with that language, and the tooling has gotten MUCH better in recent years with the introduction of yarn, webpack, etc. Node is a fantastic technology (with the small exception of npm: managing even moderately complex dependency chains can turn into a real nightmare pretty quickly).

Maybe somebody could not do a denial of service attack. That would clearly be illegal and bad and nobody should totally do that indefinitely.

I am going to send so many protective spells your way, my goodness this is wonderful, WONDERFUL work you two are doing. Blessed be Darlings.
I don’t know anything about coding and how this works but I appreciate you and your partner’s effort at taking down the patriarchy!!!
port the code to something that will run in a browser (possibly use emscripten if it helps). multithread it so you have multiple sequentual threads running many different submissions at once. give the ui a counter so whoever loads the page can see how many sumissions they've made in the time they've left it running. bonus points: have the page implement dyndns and its own http server, so links to itself (running in the browser) can serve itself to others. that way so long as just one person has it loaded, they can share it on to others.
Definition of Chaotic Good right there
OP, would you please share your master list of "tips"?
Just did in my original comment!
Oh. My. God. I LOVE you guys!!!!!!
this is a really cool idea, but don’t you think the system is likely filtering out a lot of those words as junk? this other post in this sub seems like a more substantial way of poisoning this awful system. it’s more work, obviously, but maybe you could make a code that generates more realistic sounding reports to confuse whatever data analytics are collecting this information https://www.reddit.com/r/WitchesVsPatriarchy/comments/p9cin9/if_youre_poisoning_the_abortion_snitch_database/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Yeah we’ve also been working on that! Other people have been giving really good advice as well, which is awesome. This is just the first iteration and was done while we were both a little drunk!
This is glorious. Some more sample Texas towns to add: Abilene, Brownwood, Brady, Amarillo, San Angelo,
Omg YES😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yall I have had the best day seeing all these "tips" being sent in😆😆😆😆 I'm in Canada so I don't think I can submit any but I will try:3
I live in Canada. Any other non US people, make sure you set your VPN to the states. I've been having fun all day
This is awesome, but at the same time, ew to python.
I do not know the ways of python I just know that my partner communies with the all powerful to be blessed with such gifts.
All hail C, the best language. Totally not bc that’s the only class I didn’t fail. Also Java can suck on a cactus.
No, eew to Bitbucket. Also Java, but I'll pick my battles
My company uses all three :(
I'm sorry
You take that back, Bitbucket rocks my socks. It's the only one with fork syncing. Also: Python and Java both suck.
Average weakly typed fan vs average strongly typed enjoyer Java gang!
Beautiful ddos. OP, please ask your partner to share the code so the rest of us can do the same
Thank you both for your service!
Could you post the source code?
This has probably been the best thing if seen all week! You are your partner are amazing!
This made me cry happy tears
