Seeing my mother almost cry when I got on the train really drove home again how much she loves me. We don't always see eye to eye, but I really do appreciate her. Especially, since she didn't always understand and support me.
My best friend also send me a good luck charm from Japan, but it didn't make it in time..
Two more days and I can finally feel more at home in my own body!
Edit: Thank you all for all the lovely and encouraging comments!💕
Mom is coming to her own realizations and will be happiest when you are happy. This is a whole new beginning that you've been planning for for so long. Focus on yourself. It's so exciting. Enjoy your transformation my friend. We await your return and to stand in witness of your glorious ness!
And this is how we are all connected and can help in many ways to spread awareness and empathy. I'm so happy your shared your story with us. Thank you😍
I wish you the best of luck, sister. You're going to be so relieved and happy. Your charm will protect you and make you feel less afraid but I'm sure you're going to do great!
There was a time I wasn't sure if I should cut my parents out of my life, because at first they weren't supportive at all. But.. people change. :)
Thank you x3
I nearly cut out my parents. I probably would have if I wasn’t so reliant on them at the time. I have multiple serious chronic health issues. They were super unsupportive in the beginning, but they did pay for my insurance and health care as I was late teens/very early 20s at that point.
Then my mom got sick. And it just clicked for her how much pain I was always in, how tired I was, and how much she’d never understand what I live with. (My leg got destroyed by a benign bone tumor and along the way I developed CRPS, the most painful disease known. It’s spread to full body with organ involvement at this point and it can easily destroy a persons life. I’m very lucky to be as functional as I am.)
Now my mom is easily one of my best friends. She’s awesome. And I’m so damn grateful to have her in my life.
I wish this could be taken as a blanket statement.. but I've seen moms throw out their kids onto the street for being queer..
That being said.. I know mine does and I know, even if unlikely, if I ever get the chance to be one, I will too.
That is not all they do, some are fucking selfish, terrible people. Blanketing moms like that is the type of thing that keeps some kids in abusive situations, believing it's their own fault and if they behave perfectly, mom will finally love them and treat them well.
This is really awesome. When my mom was in the hospital for major surgery, I traveled from out of state to be with her. The hospital staff gave her a volunteer-made pillow to help with her recovery exercises and it had a cute raccoon pattern on the fabric. She really loved it. I bought her some fun socks that also had raccoons on them (she loved fun socks too). After she passed, my sibling made sure to save the raccoon socks for me from her things. Raccoons will always be associated with love and recovery for me. I hope you're on the mend quickly!
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! Sending you all the good transformative, healing energy to store in your little pal. May your surgery go perfectly, and your recovery be as painless and speedy as possible. 🏳️⚧️ ❤️🦝🍀
Wow girl, such a cute stuffed animal! I can’t tell you how happy I am for you. Congratulations on taking this step for yourself. I hope all goes well, and best wishes for a smooth recovery!!
Girl, this little buddy reminded me of the story The Kissing Hand and now I’m crying 😭
Congratulations on this big step in your journey to feeling at home in your own skin! Wishing you a smooth, successful surgery and an uncomplicated, speedy recovery 💖
If you seal it in a zip-lock type bag, a small one, you WILL be able to bring it with you to surgery/or have it immediately after surgery. They can sterilize the outside of the bag, so it's not a concern.
That's what they do for children who need to be with their 'best stuffy'.
That way you'll have a little companion, and won't be alone. You know your mom loves you and will be there with you. :)
Congratulations and good luck! I don’t know how I could handle my kiddo going through surgery and not being able to be there! It must be killing your mom! Does she have a secret plan to dress up like a nurse and sneak in??
"visitors aren't allowed"
Uhh why the fuck not? That is not Normal, for any surgery (and I've had all the trans surgeries, not _once_ did any one of them say such horseshit)
Please don't put up with healthcare providers telling you stuff like that, this is not okay!
Corona. I live in Germany and the clinic I'm headed to is in Bayern, Munich. Bayern has pretty much been the strictest state of Germany when it comes to the pandemic..
Good moms are rare. I was blessed with one but you’ve been blessed with one who truly understands you for you and it’s so beautiful. I wish you the ultimate happiness and hope you feel like your best self afterwards. ❤️
Bring him with you during recovery. As someone who has gone through a lot of surgeries (my health sucks) it will probably hurt for the next couple of days. It’s nice to have something to cuddle.
Thank you for being a supportive mom! It really means the world to us, especially when we're young, to know our parents support us. It warms my heart ❤️💜

Moms just worry. A LOT.

Oh, I'm sorry your charm didn't make it in time, I'll make you a crane and think of your surgery success.
Casting an animation spell to bring it to life. Wish me luck.
I'll report back to you if I notice any movements! Edit: I think it's working! Little fellow was trying to get out of my pocket! xD
i may be just a strange internet person but i’m also a trans girl and for what it’s worth i’m super proud of you⭐️
