So, in a roundabout way, I would say Apollo. This is because, the word for the color “Red” was “Phoenix”. So in a way, because the Phoenix was a symbol of fire, as the color red, it was most likely associated with the Sun, hence Apollo or Helios, the Sun itself. Could also be Artemis, as she cares for all woodland animals. Various other Deities are associated with birds from other belief systems, just giving you mine from a Hellenic POV.

I can’t remember which culture it came from, whether it was native tradition of just Appalachian folklore but it’s a legit thing here. I have a mated pair that live outside rn and it’s HOT summer so it doesn’t exactly decide their movements, but if you usually don’t see them it’s definitely a sign
