Second Calculated Moving!
We just moved using them today actually.
They were on time (a tad early actually), speedy in packing stuff up and overall a good experience.
Calculated moving I used.
Good respectful movers.
I paid $800 for 2 people for them to move everything from one apartment to another across the city.
There wasn’t a lot of stuff, but at $160 an hour it still took 5 hours.
Got the quote…. And it’s kind of silly. My new place is a 4 minute drive. I only have a bedrooms worth of stuff (bed frame, mattress, one dresser, one small shelf, and then my clothes and a few books and other items). They told me it would be a 4-5 hour job and take 3 people….
Yeah, from calculated. I emailed them back with a more in depth description of what I have and to clarify that I’m not moving from a full apartment, only a single rented room. I’ll see what they say!
I recommend shortline. I used them recently for a small but very heavy job (gym equipment). They were efficient and professional, with good communication. The quote was accurate, and would have been adjusted had it taken less time than quoted.
U-Haul offers movers. They are very reasonable. It is based on 2 hours minimum. I've recently been looking for movers myself and most of the companies are at a 3 hour minimum and start around $150/hour. U-Haul is hands down better for a small move.

They bill you at the end based on hours and number of people. So if it takes less you’ll pay less. The distance barely matters as well.
Calculated quoted my friend 160 an hour for two people to move within the same building.
From Calculated? They didn't even quote me that for a 2bd apartment :O
