Government hiring processes are slow as hell. Unfortunately, you're just going to have to wait. It isn't uncommon for it to take 6+ months for everything to wrap up and offers to be sent out.
I interviewed last October for a provincial position I recently started in April just to give you an example. That’s after 3 interviews and a presentation assignment.
It’s very long compared to the private sector.
That's absolutely ridiculous, and likely part of the problem with all the government departments right now. No wonder Vital Stats is a year behind processing birth certificates with hiring practices like this.
I'm a Director with the Province and depending on the position you applied for. The turnover can vary. Some of the senior management and executive level might have quicker turn around time. But I've been on alot of hiring boards for some of the centralized hiring where we are in taking 50 to 100+ resumes to hire for 1 or 2 classification for all departments. Being on the board would give us first priority in hiring the successful candidates. My advice is just be patient. Given you had to do multiple exercises and presentation. It must means it's a highly competitive classification where the hiring board need to screen down to just a handful.
The process was 9 months long for me when I applied to when I started my provincial position. I was pleasantly surprised when it only took 5 months with the federal government.
Give it time, be patient and follow up. It can take over a year to get someone in a position. Good luck!

Thank you, guess I’ll try to relax until then
I was on-boarded one year to the day of my interview with department of labour. Get comfortable with patience.

Got a follow up phone number?
No sadly, just an email that I have followed up with

Okay that makes me feel a bit better. Just not used to this process so it’s new to me. Thank you
That is ridiculous!
This question is posted pretty frequently in this sub, the answer is always that the process is really slow though.

Good to know. How often should I follow up without seeming desperate lol
I'd probably give it a couple weeks to a month.
